We had AJ come out to clean our carpets, and while the work itself was okay, the pricing and attitude were a different story. When I first called him, I told him I needed the job done urgently. He said he was busy with a graduation party but quoted me $60 per room. I agreed, thinking it was straightforward. When he arrived, I asked him to clean just the living room and master bedroom--both completely empty, no furniture to move. Once he got there, he suddenly claimed the living room would count as two rooms and pointed me to his website. This is a small home in Mountain House, nothing out of the ordinary, but somehow it ended up costing $200, with only a $10 discount. Later, I messaged him to finish the job with two more rooms. He lives in the same town, but he told me it would be a minimum of $150 just to come out again. At that point, it was clear this wasn't about fair pricing--it was about squeezing as much money as possible out of the situation. AJ may do decent work, but the greed is hard to ignore. The way he shifts pricing and inflates charges shows that making an extra buck is more important to him than being honest or fair. I would never use him again and strongly caution others to look elsewhere if you value transparency and integrity. read more

Maybe they can remove stains but not pet hair. I contacted them because one of my tenants had a pet in the room. They told me they would be able to remove the pet hair from the carpet with their 3 step process but not 100% on the smell since it could be in the padding underneath. Moving forward on the cleaning day, they came on time and did there thing. They first used their "Professional" Vacuum to "remove" all the hair. Then proceeded with their carpet cleaning. The carpet was wet so i couldn't really go in there and inspect the carpet before they left. As they were done cleaning they asked for payment. I mean they are cheap compared to other carpet cleaners but THEY CHARGED ME $9 dollars to use my card. I was like not even convenience stores or restaurants charge that much to use a card. at most 50 cents. I did not have cash on me so i had no choice. During their departure, they left a mess in my home. They only cleaned one room but my front entrance was soaking wet like the hose was leaking or something. They tried to clean it with already wet towels and left. Even then my floor was still wet and i had to clean it myself. Hours later I inspect their work. There is still pet hair all over the place. The hair was not even deep in the carpet, it was on the top layer. (See pics). And to top it off they left the hair they picked up on my front purch. (again see pics) Also they damaged my base boards with either their vacuum or carpet cleaner (see pics again). Maybe because my job was the last job of the day they rushed and did not do a good job, who knows. I would NOT recommend them despite all these 5 star reviews. read more

This was my second time using Armstrong carpet cleaning and both times, we were very impressed with the carpet cleaning. However, there were some things we were not too happy about the second time around. First the pros-very professional, nice, does a pretty good job. Now for the bad part. When we finally went upstairs to check his work, everything was great except he missed a few minor spots in some areas which I wasn't too concerned about but in 2 of the 3 rooms, there were certain stains in them that I hoped he wouldve got out and they would be gone. 1 was a black marker line stain and the other was a long brown line from my baby sneaking apple sauce upstairs. It didn't look too bad when we first checked it but after a week, it's like the stain is coming back and once again becoming more apparent. See picture. Its unfortunate because those stains were the only reasons I decided to get those extra rooms cleaned and they didn't come out. read more

Armstrong cleaning is, to put it simply, AMAZING. He came in late on a Thursday to clean the carpet in my living room and three bedrooms because I was throwing a baptism party on Saturday. Not only are they professional and timely, but they completely took out every. Single. Stain. We had! I thought our carpets were doomed and have been trying to convince my husband to put down hardwood, but after Armstrong came in our carpets are back to looking brand new. I am so very grateful and will definitely be using Armstrong again. While Armstrong charges slightly more than a previous company I have worked with, they took out stains and dingy worn areas; areas that the cheaper company said remained after they cleaned because the stains were just "too severe to come all the way up." Armstrong came highly recommended by a neighbor of mine. My carpets were in need of a deep cleaning so I contacted Armstrong Cleaning via their Facebook page. The owner contacted me back and we set up a time for him to come out and give us a quote. He reviewed every room and gave us detailed information on his cleaning process. We set up a cleaning appointment for the following week as we had family staying with us and we wanted our carpets in tip top shape. The day of the cleaning, the company arrived on time and spent about 3 hours cleaning our carpets. First, was a deep vacuum that removed dirt and debris from within the carpet fibers followed by the actual cleaning. The carpets looked great and were dry within four hours. My parents scheduled a cleaning with Armstrong and initially had issues receiving a phone call back. They were eventually able to schedule a cleaning for December 22nd, which my parents ended up rescheduling to the 27th. They had an appointment for 9am this morning and I just got off of the phone with my Dad who has informed me that no one has shown up, no one will answer his calls or return his messages and now they have to move on with the rest of their day and look into sourcing these services with someone else. Referrals are the bread and butter of small businesses, I know because I also operate a small business but I cannot fathom how a business can grow if this is how they operate. Their equipment and technique may be ok, but I don't foresee any longevity if this is their approach to customer service. I would recommend Armstrong, especially for tough stains. We had gotten our carpets cleaned a couple of months ago and the room that has the highest traffic area didn't come as clean as I would have hoped. I scheduled a cleaning with Armstrong and AJ was able to come out a couple of days later. He was able to clean the room so much better than the other company did.
