I'm SO glad this place exists! In my industry, it's rare to have a GOOD key supplier. Most locksmirths don't have brick & mortars anymore to walk in and get a good key copy. The big warehouses always mess my keys up! Armor has not let me down yet and they're always super friendly and helpful when I go in! read more

A friend recommended Armor and I should buy that friend some flowers. Richard told me up front what to expect re: when someone could come out, what the pricing would look like; asked me to send him photos of the broken door handle/lock so he could send the right parts with his technician. Within 24 hours my lock & handle were fixed -- thank you Daniel! you did a great job! -- and I am a happy customer. read more

Guy came out to redo the combo on a safe for us. Was fast and effecient. He would not leave until he saw me work the combo myself to make sure we had it down. Did a great job. We will definitely use these guys again. When you find a good locksmith, make sure you keep supporting them. read more

I'm very grateful to this extremely organized, well put-together locksmith shop along Washington in Point Richmond. I own one of those nice, sturdy bike racks that can accommodate multiple bikes... you know, the solid beam of steel that stretches like a giraffe's neck or swan away from the trunk so as not to scratch the vehicle. Only thing is, when having moved back from the Pac NW, I had a little boo-boo with the key that locks the bikes in. With the weather having been so gorgeous (save this past week's) in the Bay, I was inspired to fix that lock. They diagnosed what sort of 2-sided key was necessary and turnaround time was just a few hours. Friendly Filipinos, accommodating, and the damage was kept low (under $50). What a great feeling to have something back in commission; service without a hitch (love those puns)! If we could all be so lucky... read more

Wish I could rate this lower but I brought my car key into this shop for the battery replacement and he gave me back my key with it not being able to shut leading to the inside button to unlock my car falling out and losing it then telling me i have to pay $5 for them to put a new screw to be able to shut it and recommend be to someone in Berkeley to take care of of it read more

I hate sharing bad reviews but I feel obligated to do so in order to save someone else trouble. The service here was terrible, we were charged $165 for service in which our problem was not resolved by them after two visits and multiple contacts. The technician was not capable to do the job, and I got the run around from the office manager Richard who blew me off and then was super rude and condescending to me on top of it when I complained. I wish I had checked Yelp before calling them as now I see they have a bad rating. I can confirm this is accurate. Our HOA recommended a reputable locksmith who fixed the problem easily within half an hour. Don't waste your money or time with Armor. I'll be reporting to Better Business Bureau as well. read more

Great Services I got a steal on a car key I thought I could only get at the dealership. While waiting I noticed that they had a great selection of safes. I'll definitely recommend and will coming back for more keys. read more

My wife and just moved into a new home and needed to have a lock replaced that was securing a crawlspace through our bathroom. The technician shattered a panel of glass in our bathroom which in turn caused damage to two other panels. The owner / manager Richard told me that they would make good and to get an estimate which I did. I shared the estimate with Richard and waited for a call... I followed up twice and both times he said that the owner was looking into it. They lied and ended up ducking my calls. Thankfully my insurance took care of the damage they caused - guessing they got a call from my insurance company's attornies... read more

Armor Locksmith saved the day for me... I called about 5:00 after my unusually strong teen literally pulled our front door handle off.. The fellow that answered the phone was great and very communicative.. he called me back with updates as to when our technician would arrive. When he did, Victor, was great. Extremely personable, thorough, and a true professional.. the fact that my stressful problem has been solved within a very reasonable amount of time makes me very grateful.. thanks again! read more

I went here after it was recommended to me by a friend. I was looking to get a copy of my motorcycle key made. I went to two other place prior to coming here and they were useless to say the least. As soon as I hand the guy my key he instantly knew the make of my bike. Great and super quick service. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

We were very pleased with the service we received from Armor. We called for an appointment to have our elaborate front door lock set replaced and Richard sent someone out the very next day. Loren worked quickly and efficiently and completed the job in less than an hour. The price was very reasonable, and the next time we need a locksmith for any reason, we'll call Armor again. Thanks guys! read more

Armour manager Richard Gomes is absolutely horrible to deal with. Had them replace a mailbox lock last May then had to call and said it's not working sent a service tec to replace then called again around Christmas time to tell him it was broke again then thinking in Around that time called again and he said was super busy and couldn't coordinate a time so said no worries and would call back. Called back and again said yes will get to it but never returned call. Finally called yesterday and said he could somewhat remember our conversation. Tried to explain and he hung up on me 3 times called again and at that point told him how extremely rude he was. Then said he would send someone out to look at it but would charge again another 163.00 I said fine then re thought this called him back and told him do not send anyone out as I was not going to give him any more money. Had another local locksmith come out said reason why it kept breaking is the lock on the inside was too small so key was not connecting. So now will call corporate as I should be refund for putting the incorrect lock in.Have never dealt with such a rude person in my entire life. Carol read more

Someone on Yahoo said the prices here are double those of a normal lock smith; WRONG! they are TRIPLE++. You guys ever heard of repeat business? You'll not get mine. I could have gone to an Ace or Home Depot and bought new doorsets for the price of Armor's re-keying serrvice. read more

completely unhelpful, and they tried to gauge me for un-needed services. Go to Rex locksmith in Berkeley, friendly, professional, helpful.

Excellent service! I called around 8 am, and was told the technician would be at my door between 9 and 11 am. He showed up at 10:45 am, quickly diagnosed the problem (a worn out deadbolt lock) and replaced it. The whole business took 45 minutes. The charges were reasonable. I will definitely call Armor Locksmith in the future. read more

Armor Locksmith has both the worst customer service and prices. I purchased high security locks from them and the owner Alan never finished the job. He also does not return phone calls. Both the maker of the locks and the regional sales person have tried to reach Alan to get assistance but to no avail. They were great to sell me the locks and have me pay, but terrible to complete the work and provide any service. read more
