I stopped here on a recent road trip looking for a non-chain coffee fix. I saw the good reviews and decided to stop. The interior was clean and bright, and I liked all the merch and beans they had available. I talked to guy in line who seemed very enthusiastic about the coffee shop and gave his recommendations on what we should get and what his usual items are. He was really helpful and welcoming. The person working the counter was not nearly as enthusiastic about us being there and seemed annoyed by questions about popular bagged beans. It sounds like that isn't the norm based on others reviews, so maybe just an off day. We ended up with a couple of drinks and a couple bags of beans. When I found out we would be visiting the Dallas area I told my husband "we HAVE to stop by Jenn Todryk's coffee shop!" And I'm so glad we did. Although I was bummed they were out of nitro coffee, I was very glad we were able to try some of their breakfast tacos and waffles. They were delicious! The waffles were crunchy and seemed to have a caramelized glaze on them. So. Good. The tacos were my favorite though! The cookie butter latte I had was just okay... but like I said I would have much rather tried their nitro. Overall, super grateful we got to stop by and sample so many things from their menu. I've been coming to this coffee shop for a while now, mainly because the environment is excellent for studying and getting work done. It has a cozy vibe, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time here. However, the quality of the drinks and food has recently declined significantly, and it's been somewhat frustrating. More often than not, I find myself having to take my drinks back to the counter because it's just not right. I've ordered simple drinks, but they end up tasting like straight-up milk with little to no flavor. A couple of times, I even ended up throwing my drink away because it just wasn't worth the trouble. Today was no different; I had to take my drink back, and in the short time I was there, I saw five other people return drinks as well. Aside from the drinks, the shop's cleanliness could definitely use some attention. I've noticed dirty glass surfaces and sticky tables with crumbs scattered around, which isn't exactly the best impression when you're trying to enjoy a quiet space for work. Another thing that's been off-putting is the staff. While it's great to see people enjoying their work, there is often a lot of chatting and laughing behind the counter, which can sometimes make it feel like work isn't being prioritized. I really do like this place, but the drop in quality and attention to detail is making me reconsider. I'm sad to say I'll be looking for a new spot to frequent. Love their coffee! The coffee is brewed perfectly and not sure what kind of coffee bean they use. But I very much enjoy the nutty, mild, and sweet flavor. I enjoyed my morning coffee here. Their dining area is small with a small private room in the back. But as soon as arrived here around 9:30 am. The inside was packed with people. They also have 4 outdoor tables, but it's a little loud since it is so close to the freeway. The only reason why I am deducting a star is their food. Not too many pastry options like at other coffee shops and the things they offered on their pastry display did not look very appetizing. But I was so hungry and ordered their ham and cheese croissant (a very safe option!). But I was so wrong. As soon as I had my first bite of it. The bread tasted stale and dry. How is that possible with a croissant? But then I gave it another try as I hadn't tasted the ham or cheese but that was the biggest mistake because as soon as I took another bite. I tasted something very unpleasant. It tasted almost like they washed the ham in soap water. I just could not take another bite and had to throw it away. The turkey bacon avocado sandwich was so tasty I got it with croissants instead of sourdough bread and it added a flaky texture it was so good. I usually walk in to place my order but today it's kinda chilly so I decided to do a drive-through, the staff had me wait for over 5 minutes and didn't get back to take my order. Decided not to order since I have somewhere to be. Drove to the front to see if it was busy and it was not. The employees just wanted to continue with their chit chat instead of take my order. I'm not a coffee snob, but I will say Armor makes an incredible tasting cup of coffee. Staff is friendly and service is quick. The only downside is that they are veteran-owned yet have anti-gun signs posted by the front door. Allen has a lot of Democrats unfortunately, so this useless sign isn't really a surprise, but to showcase your being owned/operated by vets you'd think they would know better than to be against American rights and understand their importance. Like I said, very good coffee, but disappointing to see anti-American signage from vets edit: all women staff, VERY busy talking to each other and can't seem to interact with customers well. Saying "Thank you!" gets a turned back and more talking amongst themselves. Love the coffee, but they definitely remove the expectation for a tip. read more

FLIES EVERYWHERE. Upon entering the shop, I was honestly disgusted. I had ordered a mobile order for my friends and me because of these supposedly great reviews. But when I went in to pick it up, 5 people were working and chit-chatting with one another, and there was no acknowledgment or even a hello. There were FLIES EVERYWHERE!!! And the employees acted like it was normal?? Like a normal Tuesday?! The place was extremely packed and many people there were occupying more than one seat and had little to no food which blocked those who wanted to eat/ sit.
