I went by on a recent Tuesday and noticed the staff started cleaning up and turning things off behind the bar a little over 30mins before close (per their door sign and online) A few customers came and it appeared they were unable to order what they came in for. My recommendation to you as a business owner is to set clear expectations with customers and potential customers. If you state you are open until 7:30 then have your business fully opened until then. Not only could you lose customers and profit like this situation, who knows what those customers experience and recommendation to other friends or co workers. I love the cookie butter latte and the food is incredible, but the customer service is severely lacking. There were two ladies in front of us taking a moment to order because it was obviously their first time at Armor Coffee. It was no problem to me, but the cashier literally threw her head back and rolled her eyes at them. She asked if I wanted to skip in front of them if I was ready and I told her I would wait. When it was our turn to order we asked her what came on the taco bowl. She looked at us and said "ok well I guess I will read it off the menu for you." If it was on the menu we wouldn't have asked. She proceeded to look at the menu and realize it didn't say. She then guessed at what was on it. I understand some places are understaffed, but there just isn't any excuse for that behavior. I have never seen someone be so blatantly rude to anyone, much less customers. read more

I've been here a few times, and the drinks are usually good! The service is always friendly and pretty quick, and it is a good environment to work (although can be hard to find a seat - usually pretty busy!). I like their matcha, chai, and lattes, but I have had a couple of cold brews that were not great. My favorites are the Blue Sky Matcha and the White Sands Latte. Overall, great shop! read more

I was visiting town and saw this was located across my hotel. I walked in at the crack of dawn (6-7am) and was instantly greeted with smiling faces. I ordered an egg white behind and a nitro cold brew off their easy to read menu. Coffee was a bit watered down, but the buscuit was super good. The location is convenient. The seating area is large and pleasant. The staff is friendly. They have snack options as well as coffee. A sign says Village is getting ready to change its name to Armor. They use a Columbian bean for espresso which is not generally a good choice for espresso. They only have a medium roast option for espresso. It was meh. I also had their their dark roast drip. It was definitely on the lighter side of the dark roast spectrum. But the coffee was good, and pretty close to fresh from a bean perspective. While we were there many patrons came in. And they have a drive through which makes it very convenient. read more

Nestled between a bunch of chain restaurants and stores, it's refreshing to have a small business like Armor Coffee in this part of Allen. Black coffee was nutty and flavorful, and the Leige Waffle was filling for a quick breakfast. Surprised to see that there was a drive-thru (not many small coffee shops have that around here) and the inside has ample seating. Very cute decor! read more

I absolutely love this shop! My go to is a hot latte with oat milk, and it never disappoints! Some of there food items are good, I personally love avocado toast from here and their vegetarian tacos. I always get a lavender latte when I come here, and it turns out great every time. The pastries here are very nice, in addition to the coffee. The staff are all very friendly. Notably, one of the barista's, Makenzie always makes great conversation with me when I sit up at the bar inside. Asked for the coffee to have heavy whipping cream, instead they made it with milk. The milk was off and curdling in the coffee. They remade it with the same off milk and then laughed at me. We had high hopes for this coffee shop but we won't be coming back. I would like to mention that the place is well kept, very clean, and the drinks came out really fast. The biggest issue was that everyone working went to the back after making our drinks and pretty much stayed back there for the last 45 minutes before close. They forgot to toast my bagel, which was no big deal, but I went back up to the counter and stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to come out. I heard giggling in the back so I just knocked on the employee door a couple times and eventually got an answer. In our opinion, the drinks were really bad. We ordered 2 hot chocolates, a pumpkin spice latte, and a cookie butter latte and we all felt they were bland. Of course, this was just our opinion and other people may like them. Disclaimer: For most people this would probably be a 5 star coffee shop. It's clean, bright, has fan favorites like frappes and kombucha on tap. They also have a nice selection of snacks and assorted baked goods. Plug situation is pretty good too, at least in the back of the shop. In brief, it's between a Starbucks and a specialty coffee shop, so it should satisfy the majority of people. For me, though, it was just alright. My standard of measurement for any coffee shop is their house drip. I think their treatment of this basic drink shows the quality I would expect from the rest of the menu. The drip is a 3/5, being slightly over extracted and thus slightly bitter. I basically only drink black coffee brewed as a pour over (and if you want to label me a coffee snob you can, but it's my preference so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). Another preference I have is that I'd like more couches and comfy seating as opposed to the hard cafeteria like chairs, but I know space and budget are at a premium. There is a small space by the door that's more homey and I like that. So like I said, this is definitely a step up from a sbux that most people would probably enjoy, and I wouldn't mind coming back if I were in the area. read more

Immediately I was welcomed in, and it wasn't long before I knew every barista by name and they knew me. This is NOT something I've come across in most other coffee shops. It still amazes me that they know their customers so well. Whether you're coming through the drive-thru or coming inside, you're sure to have them know you and remember more than just your drink order. They offer delicious drinks and treats, especially when they introduced the new menu! This changed the game for me when I started working remotely. I know I can come to work here and be caffeinated and well-fed. Every time I walk into Armor, I'm greeted like I would be if I walked into my own home. The staff is really what adds the cherry on top to this local coffee shop. I know I can come here any day of the week to grind out some work or just to have fun, and no matter what I'll have a good time. The selling point of Armor Coffee is its cafe. The inside has tons of seating and it's a great place to do some work, read a book, or just contemplate life. People do lunch or happy hour (they sell alcohol) here too so it's not totally silent. I'll keep coming back for the atmosphere alone. The coffee is standard and I have no complaints. Somehow my 16oz latte was $6 though which seemed quite expensive. I've never ordered food but it smells good! read more

I was very thrown off by the pics from the past yelp and when I walked in and saw this AMAZING coffee shop. The space looks incredible! I had zero clue of new ownership or a renovation. My husband and I just moved from Kansas City, so when my friends back home saw I was here, they freaked haha. But I love it all! Plus a drive thru gets you bonus points for when this mama needs a quick pick-me-up and I don't want to get my kids out of the car, lol.
