Wings and mash potatoes.

I really like this place. It's truly a gem in Greensboro. As long as they continue to watch their quality control in check like they have, they'll continue to soar. Hot food and seasoned and flavorful. God Bless this place to thrive..

The service isn't going to be in and out as this isn't a large place with lots of wait staff. Expect to be here at least an hour. They have Coors on draft (nostalgia for the Mr.) and tall boy PBRs. Not your thing? Don't let that deter you bc they are one of the few places I have seen who has Old Rasputin on DRAFT. Those not familiar, this is a Russian imperial stout by North Coast Brewery out of Ft Bragg, California. Something I haven't had since... well, I lived in California. Personally, one of my favorite stouts. Beer not your thing? They have an array of specialty contrails and some solid liquor choices including buffalo trace's limited purchase bourbon (eagle rare/ blantons). Food: the Brussels, sandwiches, and salads looked amazing (neighboring patting got those). We split a few things: Brisket: nit the best I have ever had, but solid choice. Maybe not for the $, but it was fall apart brisket. Wings: these are crispy fried with sauce on the side. A little hard but good. Not my favorite. The poutine was by far a favorite with the melty cheese and the gravy was delicious. We also had the street corn and with the lime was pretty good as well. These 4 things were plenty for the 2 of us with a little extra. We didn't mind paying the extra because of the experience. I did about die of heat, but I should have put a hair the in my bag and wore a skit or just not jeans. We will definitely be back.

Our seats were in the main dining area, which is an absolute feast for the eyes. The area was super busy and crowded but you'd never know it because everything just flowed, like a well oiled machine. The food is EXCELLENT! We got a little bit of everything but the highlights were the Short Rib Sliders - popular at our table, and the small plates. The Blue Crab dip was very good and so was the arancini!

Our server was excellent, the wine list is impressive, my local beer was fantastic, and my wife enjoyed her wine. The food was where things slipped. My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.

From the moment we walked in the decor and overall vibe felt like stepping back in time in a good way. You can tell a lot of thought went into the place without it feeling overdone. Service was top tier. Alejandra took care of us and knew the menu inside and out without sounding scripted or fake attentive like some places do. I got the salmon and yeah... ridiculous. The gravy alone could've been its own menu item. I was two seconds away from licking the plate. Only complaint is I wish the portions were a little bigger because the food was that good.

The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, the bacon was dried out, and the sausage was so dry and tough that I had to use a knife just to cut through it. For a restaurant with this kind of reputation, I expected fresh, well-prepared food--not something that tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp at a hotel breakfast buffet. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it will probably be our last. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else for brunch.

We had to walk about three blocks in absolutely torrential rain that rendered my umbrella basically useless. I'd spent 30 minutes on my hair, which was now ruined, my shoes were soaked, and by the time we walked in I was in a TERRIBLE mood. The second we stepped inside, that completely started to change. The staff was so welcoming and empathetic. They immediately brought us towels to dry off and even brought me a blanket! They also gave us some complimentary champagne for our anniversary. Our waitress, Delaney (I hope I'm spelling that right!), was wonderful and even took the time to make me a custom off-menu martini. And then there was the food. We started with the raw oysters, which were half price for happy hour and came with a chili sauce that will now make every other oyster slightly disappointing. I had the bacon cheeseburger, and my partner had the pork belly cacio e pepe, which was fantastic. At the end of the meal, they surprised us with complimentary olive oil cake and more bubbly for our anniversary. What could have easily been a miserable evening ended up being such a great anniversary dinner. The entire staff went above and beyond for us, and the hospitality really stood out. I highly recommend White and Wood whether you're celebrating something or just looking for a great evening out downtown. We'll definitely be back!

I went with a glass of Cabernet and my friend had beer. Our server was very sweet and allowed us to catch up on conversation and we finally figured out what we wanted to order! They have everything from steaks, seafood to some veggie apps, and salads. They also have specials which the server told us about.I had the blackened Mahi and my friend had one of the specials which was the shrimp and chorizo gumbo. They offer a nice bread service for the table which was nice and warm when it came. Always good bread and butter. Our entrees were excellent, Mahi was cooked perfectly, with a nice black bean, hominy and chorizo base, with ranchero sauce. Really good. My friend loved her gumbo, which looked amazing. She said the sauce was delicious, there was also a generous amount of shrimp and chorizo. Citrusy smooth tart, with a buttery crust and a lovely coconut macaroon on the side. The peach strudel came with a cherry ice cream, toasted almonds and a cherry coulis. We also got sone espresso martinis, because why not. I asked for mine with less simple and it was perfect. The interior decorator(s) clearly had taste. The artwork is pretty and the windows add to the light and airy feeling. Now let's talk food! The food is bespoke. The Fried Cauliflower had a touch of spice, and frankly you would have no idea you were eating cauliflower if it wasn't in the name. Pimento Cheese Galette...what's the word...hmmm....divine! Spinach Salad felt like a summer evening on the patio - strawberries, feta, sunflower seed - wonderful! Artisan cheese Selection - it's cheese, what's not to love!?! The flatbread is 'hand-rolled' in house - babeeee! Seared Sea Scallops for the sea lovers. The real blessing was Savannah and Courtney.
