Good morning neighbors! A few months ago (July) to be exact, we had a pretty significant roof leak around our chimney and a couple of other areas where the flashing was not secure or had given way due to winds and extreme heat. My attic was 120 F + and my A/Cs were working hard. My roof was only 4yrs old but aging quickly. No hail damage, so no insurance claim and the roofer who installed the shingles was ghosting me and if you did a bad job from the beginning why would I want you back. I reached out to several companies but with the heavy rains, it would be a while before someone could potentially fix the problem and I would have to pay for it myself. One company did reach out with availability and options. I needed to cool my attic, fix all the leaks and other problems that were not going to break the bank. Ark Roofer sent Jason Wolden, who inspected the roof, attic and vents. We came up with a plan, he wasn't pushy and respected my wishes. I don't normally post about these things but I am very pleased and impressed. We installed 2 solar powered attic breeze fans to cool the attic, did a complete repair of the chimney (top and bottom) and did a roof refresh which fixed flashing, vents and pipe jacks. No nails all watertight screws, fresh caulking and paint on the areas worked on. Every step inspected and then QA'd by Jason. No leaks and cost less than my deductible, so if you have a newish roof with problems give Jason Wolden a call (360) 790-5170 or reach out to The Ark Roofer. Thanks for your time, Orlando

The new roof is amazing!

We contacted Austin Pro Siding as part of a comprehensive siding replacement project, as our…read morefiberboard siding was end-of-life and starting to really have problems that would have only gotten worse. Along the way, we also discovered that we needed to have the roof replaced, and so put that in the mix for a bid as well. We contacted six different companies, each of which brought a particular set of strengths and challenges. We chose Austin Pro based on a combination of factors: personalized attention to our project, comprehensive estimate and explanation of each line item, and ability to get the project done on a timeline that worked for us. We chose to have the house re-sided with Hardie Plank, painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, and re-shingled the roof with GAF shingles. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the process of basically re-doing the entire house, especially when insurance companies come into play. To that end, everyone at Austin Pro was first rate. Before we even settled on a contractor, Paul, our project manager, walked me through the intricacies of the process, and spent probably more time than he wanted explaining how things would go, and what options we had. The bid was competitive, and the line-by-line items on the original bid made it easy to see what was going to be done, and what materials were going to be used. He was patient and courteous and flexible, and was also able to speak to us in a way that didn't make things even more confusing. Kevin was the siding project lead, and though we never met in person, I felt comfortable that he had our best interests at heart as he got the crew on site, working fast and efficiently to remove and replace the siding. He even called in the middle of the siding job to tell us that we didn't need something we thought we would, saving us money that we could then use for add-ons we didn't originally budget for. The siding install and siding paint was done beyond our initial expectations, with nice touches like window framing and utility box framing that I didn't even know we needed but now look perfect. We had the back door repainted as well as our front balcony and pillars, and the end result is fantastic. It really was done to the point where it looks like a brand new house, and not one built in the early 1990s. Paul was back on site for the roofing job, and the roofers did a great job removing and replacing the shingles and skylight with new materials, on a roof that is exceptionally steep and challenging. They had the entire project done in only two days, and it looks fantastic. Finally, Garrett came by to do the final walk-through and punch list check-off, and was a real pleasure to interact with. He fulfilled all the items on the list, at least the ones he could do on his own, and did so in a friendly, courteous, and extremely efficient manner. All in all, Austin Pro lived up to their name and to their reputation. It is possible to find a company that can do your big jobs for less, but I am not sure you could find one that could do it better. They stand by their work with a quality assurance guarantee, and while I don't intend to need it, it's great that it's there.

Texas Windows & Siding

We recently had BOTH our windows and siding fully replaced by Texas Windows & Siding, and without…read morequestion are fully satisfied with the product, the install and the process. Our home is over 20 years old, and the original windows and siding were constructed with poor material. Several aluminum framed windows were foggy due to leaks, and even one window had a major crack on one of the panes. The original synthetic wood siding was in similar shape where rot was occurring in some areas. Making a major renovation is certainly a difficult financial decision, and you want to insure you find the company who is engaged, skillful and honest from beginning through the end. We found Texas Windows & Siding on the internet with fantastic reviews but few in quantity (to find out that number is only due to the age of the company). Glen M. of Texas Windows & Siding called us back within the day of requesting an initial consultation (and his response time remained constant or better throughout the entire process). Others companies were much slower in response time and follow up correspondence. Glen M. was always forthcoming and honest in answering our questions and requests. Our budget for the products we wanted were met favorably to the competition that we ultimately decided choosing and trusting Texas Windows & Siding for our major renovation project. The biggest unknown once you order the products is who will be working on your home. Texas Windows & Siding has two separate crews, one for windows and other for siding & painting. BOTH crews were absolutely fantastic. Professional, friendly and respectful to our home and our family. It was easy to engage and ask questions from Chuck, the windows crew chief, and Rene, the siding & painting crew chief. And of course their workmanship and craft were equal to the task. Since project completion we have had several neighbors give glowing complements the work Texas Windows & Siding has done and asking for their business card. One neighbor confided that they had wished they used Texas Windows & Siding instead on recent projects because the process & time tables didn't meet their expectations, and were amazed on how smoothly our renovation went in comparison. I will reiterate how thoroughly pleased we are with the look of our older home looking new again thanks to Texas Windows & Siding. After completion and we could say we had no regrets, we knew we had chosen best company for our home in Texas Windows & Siding.

I have a very old, and not well made home and have waited a very long time to finally update my…read morewindows, doors, and siding. I called four vendors to get quotes. Sears, Lowes, Austin Pro Windows and Siding, and Texas Windows and Siding. Sears and Lowes were not very responsive and when I was able to get them out for a quote, they didn't seem very interested in doing the job. When I finally did get their quotes, the cost was more than TWS. Austin Pro was very responsive and professional, however, their cost to was also much more. I submitted a request to TWS via the Yelp app and got a response back in record time from Paul. He set up a convenient time for me to meet with Glen to get a quote. Glen showed up on time after hours and discussed all of my options regarding new windows, doors, and siding with paint. Do you ever meet someone and just get that feeling that they are "good people" and then worry that your feeling is going to let you down? Well, that is how it was like meeting with Glen. He is very professional and genuinely wants to help people. I had a set budget for this project and instead of trying to sell me on going over my budget, he worked with me to discuss exactly what I wanted out of this project and let me know it would be tight but doable. He was also very clear on that if the house had rot under the existing siding, replacing the rotten studs would be outside the price quoted for the windows, doors, and siding with painting. Basically, he spelled out the cost very clearly. I am so glad to find out that my feeling was 100% right. Glen is good people. Due to severe weather issues, it took some time to schedule the project. Basically, my yard was flooded. For like over a month. Thanks Mother Nature. However, Glen stayed in constant contact with me and let me know that as soon as the water went down and it stopped raining long enough to dry out, we would set a start date. And as soon as the weather allowed, we set a start date. Now, the best part, Glen stuck to the price we agreed on. And when we found out that part of the house was missing insulation, he called me right away to discuss how to best address the issue and what the additional cost would be. I have to agree with the other reviews, both crews were amazing. The window and doors guys (Chuck's group) replaced 11 windows in one day. And they must have been Girl Scouts, because they left my house much cleaner than they found it. Chuck is a perfectionist and even though replacing the doors on my house is like putting lipstick a pig, he and his crew made sure both doors and trim were perfectly installed. The siding crew was just as top notch. Everyday, they cleaned up and Glen let me know what to except throughout the project. Did I mention that I was at work for most of the siding project? It was kind of awesome, everyday I saw amazing progress. It was like Christmas everyday. Two thumbs up for Gleb and his crews. Or five stars . They deserve both. And if you are wondering, how all these people can give five stars, I will tell you. Glen does not consider the project complete unless you are completely happy. His goes above and beyond for his clients. And it shows with the results of the jobs.

Although…read morewe weren't ready to kick off the project just yet, their reasonable quote and stellar reputation in the Austin area kept them at the top of my list. Fast forward to March 2026: as we began preparing for broader home renovations, we reconnected with them for an updated whole-house quote. After hiring a handyman to take care of minor repairs around the house, we were finally ready to paint by May. Because 21st Century is so popular with local school districts and commercial clients, their summer schedule fills up fast. However, they promised they could start our project in August during the first week of school, and they delivered right on schedule. Throughout the planning phase, they were incredibly responsive to all my questions and accommodating whenever I needed to update our project scope. When work began, the execution was incredible. They initially estimated the job would take between a week and a half to two weeks. For our nearly 3,200 sq. ft. home, we stayed at a nearby Airbnb expecting a longer process, but their team was so efficient they started on Monday and wrapped up completely by Saturday! The quality of work was outstanding, and their customer service is truly top-notch. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I was amazed when I did my initial walkthrough. There were only a few minor spots that needed touch-ups; everything else looked flawless. The owner, Gary, and project manager, Mike, maintained excellent communication and knew the exact status of the project at all times. The crew was courteous, respectful of our belongings, and made sure the house was securely locked up every day. During the final walkthrough, Gary personally ensured I was 100% satisfied and had the team address the few touch-up spots right on the spot. They were so appreciative of our flexibility with scheduling that they even brought a box of donuts to the final walkthrough! Our home literally feels brand new now, and we are so excited to enjoy it for years to come. I will definitely be hiring 21st Century for any future painting needs.
