I recently made a review regarding the hours noted for Saturday as inaccurate. However, I thank Joe for reaching out to me. He said he was there this past Saturday. I learned today that the door I commonly use was locked because it was for the Hangar Clinic, which was closed on Saturday. These guys are amazing! It's almost like going to your foot doctor and having them help you pic shoes specific to YOUR foot issues. Brian and Joe are fantastic. They work with you in regards to your specific anatomical challenges (I didn't know there could be so many!) and how the different shoe designs can be either a benefit or detriment to your feet and the type of exercise you do. Cannot recommend them enough. I saw them two years ago for my walking shoes and I was so happy to see they were still in business so they could take care of me again. Was referred to this store by my podiatrist due to a supination issue I have with my feet (ankles roll outwards). Upon walking into Arizona Walk Shop I was met by Joe, the Sales Manager. Joe immediately recognized by problem, made recommendations on which brand/style would be best to correct my walking, and brought out several shoes in various widths and sizes to ensure that I had the best-fitting sneakers. Its been over 30 years since I've had someone measure my feet, and put shoes on for me. The end result is a pair of new shoes that have not only corrected the way I walk, but have eliminated all of the pain and suffering I was going through with traditional sneakers. My first time at the Arizona Walk Shop. My chiropractor recommended I have my feet professionally fitted for the correct shoe I needed. I have 1 foot that is totally trashed and every type of shoe I buy is never quite right. I was trying desperately to avoid a very costly foot surgery. Joe was fabulous from start to finish. No hard sell. Very polite, professional and efficient. He measured my feet, assessed my trashed foot, brought out a pair of tennis shoes that were absolutely nirvana! I have been wearing them everyday on long walks with no foot pain! Yes, they are somewhat pricey--but no more pricey than some brand name tennis shoes sold in retail stores. I went in to buy a pair of walking shoes. I was sold a pair of 2018 beast shoes by brooks. When I tried them on I explained some fit concerns but the salesman was happy to still sell them to me. I then waited 3 weeks with no word from the store on the status of my order. I was told two weeks when I bought them. I called and was told very apathetically they're not ready yet. I wait another week or two, called again, same. I then got a voicemail they still weren't ready. After about a month to 5 weeks they were ready. No acknowledgement of the long wait. I was so frustrated I just took the shoes. My first walk in them was horrible. My feet were falling out of them and my feet hurt so bad. I went back to the store 4 times, once I was sold something extra that didn't help, another time I was told to tie them differently, and another to get longer shoe laces since they came with laces way too short. Lastly they stretched the shoes and that helped. Overall horrible experience for my investment and time. read more

I needed replacement(s) for my Teva sandals as the strap was bothering my foot. I found this place online as a place that helps if you have issues with your feet or need to check out different brands than are normally available. I went with my wife, who also has some foot issues. We were helped by Chris, who really took the time to check out our feet and make suggestions on the type of support needed. I wound up walking out not only with a new pair of sandals, but walking shoes and "athletic shoes" that should give my feet more support. They weren't cheap, but I guess if you want good quality, support, and cushioning, you have to pay for it. My wife also found a couple comfortable pairs of shoes that weren't too expensive. Chris also stayed late to help us out, which I appreciate. If you have feet issues or are looking for footwear that is more comfortable than what you have found elsewhere, I would recommend coming here. read more

Went to Hanger clinic today the one on southern and stapley. The manager Marcia is really great at her job, so was everyone else and are all very nice. Marcia is just bubbly and happy to see everybody, she always goes above and beyond to help make sure her customers are happy with their service. She always greets everybody with a smile. My"Go To" shop for comfortable shoes. I have problem feet and they go above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. I have been buying shoes here for 5 years. They are connected to a therapy/foot clinic and they really know how to diagnose a foot problem by watching how you walk! My most recent problem: I have MS and drag one foot, causing holes in the toe of one foot. They put a reinforcement patch inside my shoe...voila..no more breaking thru!! Bought a pair of Brooks Walkers with V strap for $129.95 for my husband exclusively for his work place with crate flooring and 12 hour shifts. He wore them one night and could barely walk at the end of his shift. Had a nasty blister on the inside arch of the left foot. Went back to the store. The manager took them to a back room to "examine" them? He was gone for quite sometime and when he came from the back room he showed us the shoes were not acceptable for return after only one time of twelve hour wear. He pointed out at the inside heel where the fabric had pilling. I felt the surface in question and they were also wet ! I have worked with fabrics professionally for years and the only way those shoes could have displayed such damage on the inside heel is if someone took a wire brush to make them to pill. Interesting how the manager disappeared with the shoes to a "back room" when he should have inspected them right in front of us! Beware of buying shoes from this "Arizona Walk Shop" as they are not even members of the Better Business Bureau. Lesson learned always check out reputations at the BBB. read more

First went to Macy's and couldn't find a clerk to wait on me. Next went to Dillards, found the shoes I wanted but once again no one was available at all to help me and the other two couples out. I gave up and went to the AZ Walk Shop, met Mary Virden who guided me thru the collection of sandals, testing and trying out several pairs, and within 30 minutes was out the door with superb instructions on how to break the sandals in. A Hanger Clinic is located inside here. This review is for Hanger Shoe Clinic. I went back this year after scanning and emailing all my paperwork to them after they said the appointment would go much faster if I did that. They require a ton of paperwork and it took me an hour just to do that. My appointment was at 1pm and to find out at 1:30, none of my paperwork was even looked at and they needed to put it all in the computer first, which was not done. At 1:45 I told them this is terrible customer service and left. This is not the first time I waited for my appointment, this was my 3rd time back and have always waited for over 20 minutes. They just don't care about their customers! read more

Extremely high priced with very few special sales. My mother who is 79 and on a fixed income purchased a full price ($120) pair of shoes and wore them on her home carpet for a day. When they started to hurt she took them back and faced a huge unpleasant argument from staff who were not willing to return them. They were not worn, they had the original box and were paid with credit card. They finally agreed to return them for store credit. After arguing that they wanted to mail her a check. She finally got the credit card credit. Mom knows she could dispute the charge and win, the point is the staff were very unfriendly. Never going back. read more

Salesman researched my orthopedic shoe request by phone and there was only one available that was wrong size and wrong color, but tried to convince me to get them. He had no other shoes to recommend; he knew of no other orthopedic shoe stores. He also helped another customer while I was waiting for him to get back to me. Not overly concerned about my problem and let me leave dissatisfied. He was not warm and caring which I have experienced at many other shoe stores. i will need to research online to find other shoe stores. read more
