As a custom builder that has used Arizona tile and Granite for years. Have sent many clients and interior designers to them for countertops and flooring. We recently sent a client that we met with for several hours to select the clients perfect countertops selection only to be told they will no longer sell to builders. They gave us a quote at the time of the slab selection and when the fabricator called the have the slabs delivered they increased the price by $1200.00. We spoke to them and showed them the quote they issued and they refused to honor the quote. Stating they no longer will sell to builders or remodelers only to fabricators. As a member of the custom builders council in Houston. I will make sure that all custom builders in houston and designers know they can no longer do business with Arizona granite and Tile. They have cost our business and our client $, time and forced to go elsewhere to select materials. Save yourself time and and money. Go somewhere else to pick your materials. read more

Prior to going to Arizona, we had heard good things about their inventory and very poor things about their service. After attempting to try and purchase materials from them, we would agree with these sentiments. They do have some pretty stone slabs. They have a place for kids to play since they do not allow children in the slab yard which is very convenient. We put several slabs on hold and they sold the slab we had on hold. We've been in that showroom probably 5 times since being in the market for countertops. Every single time, we've been met with a flippant attitude, very noncommittal on answers to questions we asked and even told us to look at other places - not in a trying to be helpful way but in more of a "please leave me alone and let me do what I feel like doing which has nothing to do with helping you find a slab" kind of way. We needed to buy 8-12 slabs of stone which is a pretty good amount of money for one home project but they definitely did not seem interested in our business... If you're not an expert in stone slabs or countertops and you're looking for somewhere to help you with reasonable questions that anyone might have who've never done this before, any other slab yard was significantly more helpful than Arizona which is unfortunate because they do have pretty slabs (and a very pretty $$$ price, I might add). read more

I am in the process of an extensive renovation which includes 2 bathrooms, a half bath and a kitchen. Arizona Tile (Hempstead location- Houston) played a crucial role in the process. Their expertise and attention to detail made a significant difference in our renovation project. The store and slab yard were very neat, clean, and well laid out, making the selection process much easier. I have been to (I have been to 8 tile stores and 4 slab yards.) The staff at Arizona Tile were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of beautiful tile displays and assistance in putting an entire "look" together. After providing verbal descriptions of the three very different types of slabs we was seeking the person assisting us, Ruth, provided with a detailed map, staff member marked on the map, where each type of slab described could be found and was completely accurate, with just a verbal description. After looking at a couple of other places, circled back to Arizona Tile to tag specific slabs for purchase. This time, Randy Townzen assisted me. He was very responsive to the numerous questions I and his educational approach provided information that I did not even know was important to know. Learning how the slabs go from their place of origin to the top of my kitchen island, countertops, and bathroom vanities, instilled a new appreciation for the products I would be living with for many years. I really appreciated the extra effort he put into calculating the amount needed so that I did not buy too much or too little to complete my project without issue. Because of a change in design direction, I had tagged another slab at a different vendor. I floated that design shift to Randy, and he helped me identify a truly exceptional slab that will be the focal point of my kitchen. Bottom line ended up purchasing all three slabs at Arizonia and much of the tile too. Quality of product, customer service and entire experience was exceptional. read more

Terrible experience after we were sent here by our swimming pool GC. No one seemed to help but plenty of people sitting around chatting amongst themselves. They handed us a map of where to find certain slabs and sent us on our marry way without explaining anything. Most of the map didn't line up with what was in the showroom so we waisted our time looking for specific slabs that weren't there. read more

Low quality granite. Filed with lots of resin here and there. I have a very large resin filling of 1 inch by 4 inch or more. Very ugly! You will approve the slab you select although you cant see the top part of slab since it stands vertical, make sure to inspect every inch of the stone with a professional before buying. I regret my decision to get granite from them. read more

Emily was so kind, patient and knowledgeable!! I walked into Arizona tile and was walking around like I clearly didn't belong. I was in an old T-shirt, and torn shorts probably looked like I couldn't afford a single tile-working on the bathroom all day. Half of the sales reps couldn't be bothered with me. Emily walked out of an office and noticed I was walking around with a perplexed look on my face and asked if she could be of assistance. I immediately told her that we had a plumbing emergency and I needed to (again?!)redo our bathroom in a hurry. She listened to me, asked me follow up questions and gave me some pointers. She then showed me some tiles matched exactly what I was looking for- all of this with in 30 minutes of closing time. Thank you, Emily! You have no idea how much you helped me out. I'm placing my order tomorrow morning. I didn't do it today because I didn't want to keep anyone late. Your customer service was above and beyond!!! read more

I recently built a house and used Arizona Tile for all slabs and tile throughout the house. I was impressed with the selection options and with the service I received from the very knowledgeable salesperson. However, what impressed me most was how the management stepped up when there was an issue with the marble that was selected for the kitchen. The slab had to be replaced and they were 100% responsive and attended to the problem until it was completely resolved. This type of "taking care of the customer" doesn't happen very often anymore. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Arizona Tile to anyone looking for Tile or counter top material. read more

I went to their location on Westview in Houston and I would highly recommend this place if you are building or remodeling. They have everything. It can be very overwhelming at first and I had to make several trips to get everything figured out but it was well worth the effort. There showrooms are huge and the best variety in selections that I had seen compared to other places I went too. We are building a new home on the lake and We purchased our quartz countertops and backsplash for the kitchen from Arizona. Julie DeFriend in the design center was extremely helpful and patient (lol) in helping me pull everything together especially when it came to Designing some extra detail in the backsplash. She gave me A few sample pieces that really helped me explain to the installer what I wanted. I would definitely use them and a Julie again for future projects. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would in a heartbeat. I feel my blood pressure rising as I type this...I have NEVER experienced an establishment with such terrible & unreliable service. I'm an interior design in Houston, and have frequented this place at max 5 times...rest assured I will NEVER go back. Not 1 out of those 5 visits have been with out frustration. I was on a search for marble and after frequenting many other local establishments, I popped in to Arizona tile due to their affordability. My first time there I was not greeted with the slightest even "hello" I was sent to the back counter where someone would help me to look at slabs. Once again, no one even lifted their head. After about 10 minutes of waiting I approached a gentleman for help. Skittish and unprofessional in appearance the gentleman took me to the back. I was very specific about what I was looking for...the man helping me had no idea where the slabs were, what they looked like, or anything about them in general. I would ask basic questions and he would just stare down, look at the ceiling, I was embarrassed for him for his lack of knowledge...I'd ask if he could get someone who was knowledgeable and that could assist him, as I have a million other ways to be spending my day and time. After about 15 minutes of waiting in their warehouse he returned. By himself. I should have just left then, but I wanted to look at their selection. I asked if they could pull some slabs out, as I needed the product ASAP and was willing to pay then and there...after a few "ummmms" and "errrrs" he disappeared into the slab yard. I seriously wasn't sure if this guy even knew where he was working. About 30 more minutes of standing, squatting, and pacing around, I decided to go and try to find him. I went inside and he was sitting behind the desk as if we'd never even been there. I asked again if they could pull the slabs...he said he'd be right there. to make a long story short, I ended up wasting about an hour and half of my day at this place. I left with an appointment for the following day...first thing in the morning...3 slabs out for me to view...easy. Of course not, I get there the next morning, not only are the slabs NOT out, I had to wait another 45 minutes or so for them to pull ONLY 2 out...that's right, I'm paying around $8000 for slabs and they refuse to pull more than 2 out....not at a time...on the 2 they chose to pull. Ridiculous. After going back and forth I finally convinced them to pull another slab out because one of the 2 was paper thin and the other was cracked in multiple places. After seeing the quality of the 3rd one, I was frustrated, exhausted, and done with this place. A few months go by and I decide to give this place another shot. This time I was looking for limestone...easy..no specific veining like marble. I picked a few slabs and had my guy go pick them up. My guy had a specific pick up time...again, we are in the construction/design business, time is of an essence...he shows up...waited for TWO freaking hours, the slabs were cracked and they set so much weight on his tailgate it busted. This place...make me sooooo angry. So after going to a new place to purchase our slabs...paying more $$ was way worth it. Well, about a month ago, I had the urge to give them another shot. I popped in to see if they even had what I was looking for before I wasted mine or anyone's time. They did. okay, fine. So I had my project manager call (he's a little more aggressive than I) and make an appointment for me the following day at 10:00 am. They were to have 2 slabs out for me to look at and say "yes" or "no" to...a 15 min meeting at most. I show up the following day, again no greeting, I had to ask someone to help me, as I have an appointment. Guess what? THE WRONG SLABS were out. Jokes on me. about 30 minutes pass before the angry and rude slab lifting machine driver makes his way around to pull the right ones. I pick one and go. Promising never to return. My project manager handled the rest...purchasing, delivery, etc. Well the delivery was supposed to take place last Friday (it's currently Wednesday) and after calling and emailing to no avail, we didn't get a response until yesterday. Well they had delivered the slab to the WRONG location. How does this happen? These people. Anywho, so after we get that all squared away, we are told they are picking the slab up from the wrong location that they had dropped it off at and delivering it to the correct one this afternoon. Slabs are big and heavy. So we had a crew of FOUR people waiting at the jobsite to take delivery of the slab...we are paying these four people by the hour...An hour passed their delivery goes by....my project manager gets a call...hmm what could go wrong now? THEIR TRUCK BROKE DOWN. They can't make the delivery until tomorrow! I'll be in UTTER SHOCK if they deliver it tomorrow, undamaged, and on time. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. read more

Worst tile place in Houston. Staff does not help. They don't move from the front desk to help customers. They don't offer help to show their merchandise or are willing to help. Will never recommend this place to anyone looking for tiles. The company in California is 100 times better and puts this place to shame!! Awful customer service!! I agree with the other negative reviewers. Poor customer service, employees less than helpful, etc. The most annoying part of my experience was perusing the slabs and finding the ones we wanted and making sure there were enough slabs of each choice and verifying, per the tag, whether the slabs were already sold. After a lengthy stay looking at and deciding on slabs my wife and I went to the counter to place our choices on hold. It was there that we were told that ALL but one of our choices were sold out. Remember the part about the slabs being marked as "sold" in the warehouse? Apparently they don't bother marking everything that is actually sold. It was a wasted two hour trip. We immediately went to another place, found three slabs that we wanted at a price that was less than they had them at Arizona Tile. Also, employees were much more pleasant and helpful. read more

I will say my entire experience with Arizona Tile was great. During first visit I had to bring my small children and they had a play area for them to hang out. It's modest, but it says volumes to a mom! During that visit, I worked with a young lady that helped me and let me borrow some samples for my backslash. Another time, another lady assisted me with grout colors. Every time I ordered, they were courteous. They really tried to give me instructions on how to properly install glass backslashes. I have used Arizona Tile forever. The negative reviewers need to remember that this is a warehouse, not a design studio or Lowes/Home Depot. The selection of tile is great and they have the quantity. I recall purchasing tile at Lowes to only run short and than find out that they discontinued carrying it. This doesn't happen at Arizona Tile. read more

I am in the process of remodeling a home and used Arizona Tile for all of my stone and tile needs. First and foremost, the showroom was terrific. Not only were the selections vast and impressive, but the layout made the selection process much more efficient. Secondly, I was extremely impressed with the knowledge of the staff. Meg Belmontes helped piece together great selections and was able to provide suggestions that made the project come together. I am in a customer service business and must say that the customer service at Arizona Tile was fantastic. I cannot say enough positive things about the products offered, the staff and the overall experience and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering a home remodel or new construction build. It was a First Class experience all-around and the prices were very competitive compared to other places that were considered. read more

We are remodeling our kitchen and we're looking for a better backsplash and floor tile options, so went to Arizona Tile. The showroom ladies were very friendly and helpful our contractor ordered the tile and backsplash materials in person by showing the order taker the samples I had checked out. The backsplash had to be ordered and it took a week to arrive - bad service #1. When it arrived, my husband picked it up and as soon as he arrived home I noticed that it was the wrong glass tile. The order taker had ordered the wrong glass tiles. He immediately called and thus began the ridiculous run around to get it replaced. He had to speak to three levels of "management" to get service. They finally checked stock and had 25 of the 30 sheets of tile we needed. My husband argued with "manager" #3 to get the 5 tiles shipped from Dallas. He refused to do anything other than send it regular UPS GROUND. So, we are still waiting. Our tile installer will have to make another trip to finish the backsplash and the whole project has been delayed by at least 4 days. When an employee makes a mistake, a business should go out of their way to make it right. Had they sent the 5 sheets of tile to our home overnight, the installer could have done the job in one trip and we would be satisfied customers. Instead, we have a very bad taste in our mouths from this experience and will never use Arizona Tile again. The 2 stars are for the floor tile which is beautiful. read more

My wife and I are remodeling our home one space at time and very tired of the tile offered by Home Depot or Lowe's so we decided to try some of the large tile companies around Houston that sell to contractors or fabricators only. Our first challenge was to find one of these "exclusive" places open on the weekend, we found MS International and Arizona Tile. If you are just looking for Stone slabs MSI has an abundance but their tile selection was extremely disapointing. We could not get a sample of the tile we wanted to see how it would work with our plans without a contractor. So we left. Our next stop was Arizona Tile, not only did they have an abundance amount of top slabs their tile show room was what we were looking for. Tons of ideas,selection, and reasonable prices. Not only that but if you wanted to buy the tile you picked out, you can. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back many times. read more

Contractor just went to pick up the tile he ordered and paid for two days ago. Was assured they had the tile and he could pick it up today. He waited over an hour before someone finally ascertained they didn't have the order!! The tile guy will be here on Monday (not!!). The worst part was -- AND I HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS, ARIZONA TILE IN HOUSTON -- the contractor said no one at this facility seemed to care. They have ZERO customer service skills. He and two other guys were there to pick up tile an there were two customers in the showroom, yet one person was doing all the looking for everyone and everybody else just didn't give a S**t. read more

Wow! What a great experience. My husband and I had gone to another tile designer and walked away very frustrated, so we weren't sure what to expect with Az. Tile. We walked in and were greeted immediately with friendly smiles (unlike the other place) and while we didn't have an appointment the staff was very helpful (although I recommend making one). In fact, as we asked a couple of questions one of the staff asked if we wanted some help combining materials and began sharing design ideas with us. Long story short, we got everything we needed (large remodel) in a couple of hours and the experience could not have been better. Sarah Perez was amazing!! Arizona Tile has a large, brightly lit, and spotless showroom with a large selection of natural stone and porcelain tile. They also have a large and well organized indoor granite and marble slab yard. After searching for a polished vein cut travertine in size 12x24 in various tile showrooms I found exactly what I was looking for at Arizona. I want to give special recognition to EMILY and WILLIAM in the Tile department for providing me with excellent customer service today. They both went above and beyond and pulled the tile from the warehouse for me to inspect to make sure I was happy with it before taking it home. They were both cheerful, patient and courteous in doing so and did not seem to mind the extra effort that I asked them to make. Kudos to Arizona Tile for having these two great individuals in your staff and for making shopping for granite and tile for my house remodel a pleasant experience. read more
