Had a fantastic experience this morning, I have a large propane tank that ran out last night, and I realized it was way out of certification. I brought it into the fountain hills store this morning, I figured I would have to drop it off. nope! They fixed a valve, tested and recertified it and filled it in like 15m. Man you guys are amazing! read more

Originally, i purchases a new home that came with 2 tanks on the property to fuel my kitchen appliances. about a year later, i asked their client services department to come look at the tanks because i smelled what i think is a propane leak. I've asked if they warranty their own tanks...they said no and it would cost me an $100 to look at the problem then charge more to fix it. if you were me, would you use a service that doesn't care about the safety of your home or business? read more

Very polite and helpful staff. Business was clean. Prices were competitive, only charged for amount delivered, not tank size, as some LP suppliers try to read more

I scheduled a propane delivery and was promised said delivery a week out. As the day arrived and the hours got long, I called Arizona Propane for an ETA. At first they advised me that I was not on their schedule, then after being on hold for ten minutes I was told that they came to my home the previous week (on a day when someone was home all day). If someone did come to my home, they did not knock nor ring the bell, no card was left behind, and no phone call was made, NOTHING. Upon voicing my dissatisfaction, I was then referred to a "manager" who reiterated the previous info, but who said that I may indeed be on the days schedule and that the driver did not update anyone. He promised to check with the driver and call me right back. Two hours later, when I called them, I was told that "too bad" - no delivery, but they could re-schedule in a couple of days and they even offered me a thirty dollar discount. The absolute absurdity. They need to work on their delivery process and confirmation as well as their customer service. I will NEVER use them again. If you choose to, please be aware of what you may be getting into. read more

AZ Propane has the worst billing and delivery practices ever! I was just charged for service delivered in December that was paid for in cash!! Missed deliveries happened twice in 4 months!! They are terrible because they know they are the only game in town! I'd rather drive the RV than ever use them again! read more

They said there was a glitch in their computer and I was pre-charged the maximum amount a week before they arrived. That same amount was on the final bill which has more gallons that the cylinders can hold. Unfortunately, I was not home when they arrived. Interestingly, in the past, there was a decimal percentage of gallons ( just like gas pumps) with all purchases but not with this one. Time to file a complaint with Weights and Measures. read more

I've been a customer for 20 years, my propane tanks have always been in the same place. Yesterday the delivery guy decided to cut down branches from my trees and bushes!!! The whole yard had just been trimmed by landscapers the day before so there is no way anything was in his way I called the office to report this and she said someone would get right back to me, but of course I have heard nothing. This is so outrageous! These trees are hiding the canisters from the pool area so that one can swim in a peaceful environment. Now the ugly canisters are such an eyesore!! This guy clearly did not care at all about my home and yard. And he left the branches just strewn into the landscaping!! Not even an apology from the company, let alone any compensation for this aggressively obnoxious behavior!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! read more

Had to have a leaky regulator and outdated tanks (20+ years old) replaced for my spa. Arizona Propane does exceptional work and is highly focused on serving their customers. The work is done properly which is essential for safe use of propane which I so much appreciated. Scheduling next day service was easy including first appointment of the day. I highly recommend Arizona Propane. Top notch people and work! read more

We called this company for weeks to get a tank installed and had no luck. Our contractor finally got a hold of them and we got a tank. They continue to not answer and are extremely disorganized. They have taken our money and we haven't been complete. read more

Worst customer service ever! Service truck broke down, rescheduled. No show, rescheduled. Driver didn't run his route, rescheduled. Finally showed up when I wasn't home. Not sure what was done, but unable to light pilot and enjoy a fire this Thanksgiving morning. read more

We had a 500 gal tank removed and a new one installed. The follow through was great until we signed the contract. After signing and paying a deposit it was awful. From dealing with the staff that answered the phones, the crew that came to do the work and the sales person we would not recommend Arizona propane. We are still waiting for them to drop off material to fix the damage they caused. read more

No one ever reached out to myself from your company ? this is the issue with Arizona propane, the time to treat seniors fair is at the time of service? and when a call is made to the office? to reply to a very bad issue is at that time not after its reviewed on yelp? I paid for my parents gas bil[s] that were not even real? paid for the same propane over and over ? then call to inform office and then met with very rude and unhappy person? even so I paid a lot to your company, so don't try and pretend this was settled fair still no refund or apology just blame the driver or? if one person goes to a better company after this review I'm happy and so are the seniors[25 plus] who switched to another company read more

I went online to Google and filled out the online form for 3 companies to help me with our propane issues and AZ Propane was the only company that contacted me. They also went out of their way since we did not have a working stove due to our issues that they scheduled service sooner. They were very fairly priced and showed up when they said they would. I am incredibly happy to have found these folks since I had contacted Acorn propane weeks before and they never made it out to our home to address these issues. As far as the other 2 companies...I guess they are to busy for more work. I will be using AZ Propane now to fill our tanks since they are the only ones that would help us to begin with. read more

Received prompt, polite responses from Nathan, one of the Managers for Arizona Propane. What a refreshing change to have someone pay attention to details in my email and handle every aspect of my request correctly (i.e., time of day for service, etc.), especially when a business is making such a small dollar amount on what we wanted, having 2 small pool propane tanks removed. read more

This company has the worst customer service EVER! I made my appt. on Nov. 20th for delivery Dec. 5th. Nathan told me to call around 10 am that morning to see the approximate time of delivery. This morning i went out to get my newspaper at about 6:45 and the driver was waiting. I could not take delivery cause i have an ill person in my home and it takes about 2 hours to set this person up for the day. Also, it was 37 degrees and dark out. I told the driver what Nathan said and driver asked what time was good. I said anytime after 9. when no one showed by noon i called and got the run around until Nathan finally told me the driver said i refused service, after he said he would be back. Driver just looking to shorten his day. Owners should be very concerned about this type of employee behavior. See if they are this independent in the summer when propane is very slow! They said they would not return today. This is on them. I did exactly what i was told to do to find out when i was scheduled. read more

My wife Melissa and I recently purchased an all electric home, we received a bid from Arizona Propane to install a main gas/propane line with service to our kitchen stove, dryer, BBQ and a new on demand hot water heater. I have been waiting for a call back to schedule work in my home. Previous times I have called - I have been put on hold for over 10 minutes and had to hang up to do other work. Technicians who have come to my home do outstanding work - but customer service over the phone is non-existent. read more

My tank went empty and R.J. just happened to be in the neighborhood! I asked him if he could fill my propane tank and he said no problem! He was kind, courteous and professional! In my opinion not a recommended supplier, but little choice as they are the only ones supplying this park. Do use unless you absolutely have to. My story. Appro 1 1/2 weeks ago I called the Glendale office and made an appt for March 11 for propane delivery to our site at an rv park in Casa Grande. I called on the Friday before to confirm the appt, they confirmed the appt. However they could not give an timeframe for delivery, just sometime during the day. Come Monday we waited all day for the delivery. Called around one thirty to check, was told they would be here by six. Six came and went with no delivery. Office closed so no one to follow up with. Called this morning, staff had no idea why no delivery, told me they would have an delivery within an hour. Two hours came, still no delivery, called again and got told they would have to call the driver. Another half hour the driver finally showed up. The driver was in the park on Monday but did not have my site number. He stated that The office did not give the driver our site number. Called the Glendale office and the manager said he did have it. Someone's not telling the truth. I guess I did get my propane how be it with a lot a personally involvement. read more

This is the only Propane company that would even think about coming out to fill my bigger than normal cylinder, out of all the propane places that deliver all around Phoenix. Which is sad to say but it's the truth, I haven't even got more order yet and I'm so confident of speaking with the Manager of Arizona Propane. I prayed that I would find this company and the very next call was this place . I'm so happy read more

First, when I contacted Arizona Propane I wasn't able to get a technician out until the one day in the week they were set to be in my area - which was a few days out. I wanted it done sooner, but I understand calendaring issues. We set it for a Monday, and though I had plans set for this day, I moved everything around just to be home for their visit. I waited. And waited. When the doorbell rang around 4:30, I thought it was them. It was a friend, but they handed a note that had been left for me on the door by Arizona Propane from 10:50 that morning. I'd been there all day - but they just left a note? Did they not ring the bell? They were supposed to call me on their way - but not only did they NOT call, but when they got here they just left a note and left (again - without calling to see where I was - which, if they had called, they would've discovered I was inside!) I called as soon as I got the note, but the business was closed. I called the next morning, and explained that I'd been home all day when the tech arrived but for some reason a note was just left for me. I was then told that the next they could come out was Friday - even though Monday's "miss" was their fault. I asked if there was any way they could come sooner, because my backyard is in the middle of remodeling and I have projects hinging upon my propane tanks working. She paused, but then agreed to check and see. She told me she'd call me back and let me know what could be done.....and here we are. No call back. Nothing. I finally went online and found Acorn Propane, who came out promptly and serviced me very well. They were friendly and knowledgeable - and honored their commitments by showing up when they were scheduled to. Sheesh. I'm annoyed that I didn't just all Acorn first, because my backyard project has been delayed due to Arizona Propane's scheduling and failing to show. I would be more than a week further on in the project were it not for the delay brought on by this company. read more

I felt i should post that since writing this review, I was able to find the general manager's email on Arizona Propane's website. I emailed Jerry who impressed me with how quickly he responsed (the very next morning after I emailed him), how seriously he took the issues we had, and how he was willing immediately to make it right. Jerry was very professional, apologized, told me he will personally deal with the woman we had the experience with and offered to have us bring the tank down anytime and that they would recertify and fill it for no charge. I called Jerry prior to coming down who called Brendal (the original guy my husband went to to pick up the tank from who apologized that nothing was done) to let him know we were coming. Brendal did the work very quickly and we are very satisfied with the service since our original experience read more

So as I stated in my review several months ago, I did buy a second tank, took that and my original tank (which by then was empty) back, and had them both filled, thereby saving a few $$. As before, I received 5-star service and shall absolutely use them whenever I need Propane, even though they're quite a trip for me, from west Chandler.. STRONGLY recommended. read more

Poor service. They missed our promised delivery x2! Never can get through to the office and if you do, the snotty secretary is unprofessional on the phone! read more

The person I spoke to while scheduling the service was pleasant enough, albeit a bit hard to reach as they were always out, but it was the job itself that was sloppy. The person who came to my house cut through electrical wires, destroyed the fire pit table, and so on. read more

Wish there was a zero star category because this company is not worth even one. Our experience began with misinformation and went down. We felt they took advantage of us by selling us too much product only to discover a problem. The resolution was terrible from the folks that showed up at the house with horrible snotty attitudes to the office folks that never took our call and resolved things with an inappropriate email. There are many other companies to get propane from and we would recommend absolutely any other one. Save yourself some pain and do not get mixed up with this company. Acorn Propane was a pleasure to deal with with their honesty and professional approach. read more

What horrible customer service! Go to Matheson Tri-Gas instead. I purchased a house with a couple large propane tanks to heat the spa. Finding that they had not been used for a long time, I called Arizona Propane. The man who answered the phone said the tanks would need to be re-certified. The cost would be $40 each plus $70 re-fill. He said they have other used tanks that they have already certified and filled, so I could pay the total and trade mine out. Just to check pricing, I called another company that I had used for CO2 tank re-fills, Matheson Tri-Gas. They said they could do a Hydro test on the tanks and re-certify for $15 each. They would also do the trade-in option for an already certified, used tank. But Matheson was out of my way and AZ Propane was near my office. So I called back to AZ Propane and asked if they would match the $15 re-cert. I was told that they replace valves and gaskets, sandblast and re-surface, and paint, and all this other stuff and they have to get $40 to cover the cost. Again he said I could bring my tanks in and trade for full ones they already cleaned up. I decided to pay the extra $ and just get it done. When I got to the Scottsdale yard, the general manager came out to greet me and told me I could buy a new tank for $190 or a used one for $130. I said I wanted used tanks and wanted to trade mine in paying the $40 and $70 refill. He said I could not do that. The trade deal is based on inspection and my tanks were too old. But I was never told that. I called twice and confirmed I could trade. He didn't believe me. So I called again and the guy I talked to on the phone came out to the yard. The GM said his rep was mistaken and that I could buy the tanks if I wanted. I was not happy. I had already wasted a bunch of time on what should have been an easy drop off and pick up. Then he said they could recertify my tanks and fill them up. But I would have to come back. Well, if now you CAN recertify my tanks, why don't you honor what your guy told me and do the trade so I can be on my way? He said no. I was bothered about the bait and switch. I was more bothered that once I verified with his employee present that his company messed up, he was not man enough to step up, take ownership, and make the customer happy. I will never do business with this company. read more

Wanting to add a gas fireplace to our all electric home, having gotten info from the fireplace provider and in talking to a neighbor who had done the same thing I called Arizona Propane and asked them for their advice before purchasing the system. Excellent and friendly help on the type of tanks I should get and a projected cost to fill. Ended up installing two 100 pound tanks. Fast forward, used up one tank so called to get them filled. Again, excellent and friendly help and was scheduled for a fill in two days. Also told me I did not need to be there since I set up an account and there was access. Nice but I did wait as I had some questions about a noise I was hearing when the tanks switched over. Driver showed up as promised and again excellent and friendly service and the driver was knowledgeable about my concerns and put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone who needs propane service. read more

I called Arizona Propane recently to refill 2 tanks I use for an outdoor fireplace. For $268 they filled my tanks and recertified them (and in doing so, replace my tanks built in 1998 with tanks built in 1986...ugh). But my 2 stars comes from the fact that when they filled my tanks, they left a note indicating that I had a gas leak at the regulator and should not use the system. I called them immediately to inquire what I should do next. They said I would need a service call, and that a member of the service team would call me back shortly to schedule a repair. That was around noon on Dec 30th. No one called me back, and I figured the next day was New Year's Eve, so I waited until the following week to try them again. It was a bummer though because it would have been nice to use the fireplace on New Years. Anyway, I called them again on Monday Jan 4th, and was told that the person who schedules service was on the phone, but they took my name and number and promised they would call me right back. Three days later I called Acorn Gas who were more than happy to schedule a service call and got me fixed up pretty quickly. Thank you, Acorn Gas! You are my new propane company. read more

They dispatched a driver to my RV with explosive propane! What? This driver didn't have the knowledge, safety and equipment to do the job. After he attempted to fill my propane tank and damaged my RV in the midst of this attempt.....the driver states I am unable to fill your tank as i don't have the equipment to adapt your tank. During this atttempt which was at least 15 minutes, the truck was running and propane was filling the air and my RV. Just before leaving, the driver thanks me for not screaming at him because he was just screamed at by the last customer. I informed driver it wasn't his fault, evidently your company hasn't trained you properly and I will call your company. I called company and 2 men Jerry and Justin, who told me they were President/owner, came out to inspect damage. I was not able to be there but my friends were there and Jerry/Justin informed them that they would take care of damage. I received phone call later that day from Jerry who had an entirely different story to tell. He states it was my fault and they are not covering the damage. Also to add insult to this.....The Resort, the park I am staying in only allows this company in the park to fill propane tanks. I have addressed this with The Resort, only to be verbally told, "we've never had a problem with them in the past". It's amazing to me that untrained drivers are allowed to drive huge propane tank on our roads......Danger...stay away read more
