About three weeks ago, I went to fill up propane for my food truck. Unfortunately, one of the employees left the valve open without informing me. I then drove all the way to Scottsdale for an event at a cigar bar, unaware of the issue. When I stopped at a gas station, people were staring and asking if I was okay because there was a strong propane smell. That's when I checked and realized the valve had been left completely open--this was a very dangerous situation. I called the office the next day, and they assured me they would take care of the situation and that I could continue using their services moving forward. However, today I drove from San Tan Valley to refill my food trailer, and as soon as I arrived, I was told they would no longer fill propane tanks mounted on food trucks or trailers due to "new rules." This was extremely frustrating, especially since I had made the long drive and had been told previously that everything would be handled. When I called the office, the person I spoke with (who didn't clearly identify their role) refused service again, citing code changes related to the proximity of my generator and AC unit to the propane tanks--even though the generator was completely off. This experience has been very disappointing. Between the initial safety issue and the lack of consistency and communication, I feel this company does not value its customers. I will not be returning and cannot recommend their services Also a Guy who I complain about leaving the valve open was there sooner he see me he smile on my face what a disgusting way to treat me!!! read more

Arizona Propane at this location was exceptionally honest and helpful. The first time we stopped in here the manager indicated that one of our tanks was actually overfilled (by another service provider), and the other one was partially filled and he suggested that we do not fill it because he'd have to charge us for the full amount. He offered that we come back in a couple of days and he'd be happy to service the tank for us. This location does not sell portable tanks, nor do they do tank exchange. Technician came to do safety check and fill tank. Did safety check then just left property with no notice. Did not fill tank. Simply placed a note on tank that says it needs a new fill valve. NO notice to me the owner. Then charged my credit card $145.00 - when they told me it was only going to be $89.00 for safety check. They did refund me the difference after I complained. This company is run by Morons, and they use incompetent technicians. STAY AWAY! read more

I had propane lines extended from my "fat boy" tank to my bbq grill, fire table, smoker, and through a wall and to a fire pit. I dealt with Paula as my sales person and really enjoyed working with her. She was honest and direct. It felt like she had my back throughout the entire process. I could not have asked for more. The two guys who came to do the work were outstanding. They were thorough, communicative and helpful. They did great work and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy; which isn't always easy because when I'm spending a fair amount of money, I look for excellent service. The pricing was extremely fair for the work performed. I got several estimates before selecting Arizona Propane and they were, by far, the most competent in the analysis and recommendations. And, the pricing was excellent, I didn't feel ripped off or gouged in any way. Their pricing was actually lower than the other estimates that I felt substantially less confident in. So, overall, this was a great experience and I would not hesitate for one second to call Paula again for propane piping work. When it comes time to fill my "fat boy" tank, I am going to give Arizona Propane a call. My understanding is their per gallon price includes deliver and all the other fees that other companies try to charge extra for. I recommend Arizona Propane for piping work, hands down. read more

Rude and unhelpful office staff including the Manager named "Zach"! I've been a customer for over 7 years. I called because my 100 # propane tank ran dry in about one month. Normally at least 5-6 months as we only use it for the kitchen stove. After explaining the issue 3 different times all they would offer is roughly approximate repairs of over $279 to repair the "system "! They installed the tank, the regulators and about 6ft of copper tubing. We lease the tank fro m annually. We argued over the liability for a new regulator and he just continued to quote that they only own the tank and belligerently continued today they owe me nothing. I told them to come and get the tank or I'd put it out on the curb. Nothing but smart alleck answers! They need to take customer service lessons from thier driver whom were very nice. SO WELL DONE ARIZONA PROPANE!!!! Another extremely DISSATISFIED customer!! I highly recommend no one have go through what I did today. We own a Neighborhood Craft Pub in Chandler that has live music inside and on a patio. For way too long, we'd been haphazardly sending staff out to fill our six propane tanks to put in rickety heat lamps in a desperate attempt to keep our patio guests warm and toasty. The results were subpar at best. I finally said "enough!" after I saw shivering guests leaving the patio in droves. We desperately needed to outsource this vital function. I did some research and narrowed the search down to 2-3 companies that advertise such services. Into my life bounded Charles from Arizona Propane Services. He did a thorough assessment of the state of our lamps, determined they needed replacement and quoted me a highly competitive price to do so. He set up the new ones, carted off the old ones and made the patio comfortable for our valued guests and musicians. Charles has stopped by numerous times on short notice to make sure the tanks are filled and everything is in working order, including teaching our staff to operate and maintain the lamps. It's depressingly rare these days to find people and service providers of any kind who share an owner's sense of urgency in pleasing their customers. Charles & Arizona Propane Services are a rare exception. Their word is their bond, and any bar, restaurant or retail establishment that could benefit from their services should look him up. The "in your face" style of scamming makes me think Arizona propane is ran by the people who started Enron. Imagine taking your car in for an oil change. Then, when you pick your car up the mechanic tells you your wheels are popped. The mechanic then blames you for popping the wheels and asks you to prove your wheels were not popped when you drove the car in. (Despite the car being in perfect working condition when you drove it in). That in a nut shell has been my story/experience. More details below: I have a regulator for my two propane tanks. Tank A and tank B, with only one tank "open" at a time. The flame on my stove went out in early June and I noticed tank A ran out of gas, At which point I called in to request a tank swap. No problem, it has been 10 Months using tank A. A minute or two later, I turned off tank A and turned on tank B. Success! I had propane feeding my stove again through the newly turned on tank (B). On June 24th arizona propane came to swap out tank A. I showed the team the area, with a full tank B and no propane smell. As they were leaving the guy had the plums to tell me I had a massive leak in my regulator. The leak was never there before, and if it was, tank B would have been empty. The first team member left, and after a couple calls with arizona propane support, we arranged a technician to come over to swap out my regulator. I asked how it was possible that I could have a leak this bad without having an empty tank and the persons response was "I don't Know, I'm not there". When the technician to swap the regulator was over, I asked how quick it would take tank B to empty given the current leak and his response was "quick". This was an absolute given, provided you can hear the propane coming out of the new leak in the regulator that arizona propane created. Tank B is still almost completely full. I can't wrap my head around having a leak this bad, but having a 95%+ full tank. I am now stuck paying for a new regulator and service to install instead of my existing regulator that was working (before it was broken by arizona propane during the tank swap). Again, if the regulator was not working like Enron, I mean arizona propane is claiming; tank B would have been empty or at the very least not still completely full. They still have not answered how my tank could be full if the regulator was broken prior to their arrival. I have emailed and called in, but these guys don't care. My family and I will not be using these scam artists after this stunt. My advice to you; find a new company or at least take a video of your equipment working (before Arizona propane comes on-site, breaks stuff, and tells you it's not their fault) read more

Generally very happy with Arizona Propane. On recent service issue I had to leave two messages with the answering service which went unanswered and only when I called during normal office hours was service scheduled. The the only issue is they charged me $150 for a tank replacement when the handle broke off in my hand when trying to open it. Not sure why that's my responsibility but wasn't really worth a fight over given generally good service overall. They previously replaced another tank due to suspected leak for no charge. read more

Hugo tested my sideways propane tank from my little Toyota Motorhome to be sound. I came here for find resolution to my problem that I bought 3 different propane hoses, even different brands, the kind with the big plastic knob that screws on the tank valve. Well they all leaked. I returned them. Camping World told me half of them leak and they have to get another and another and another. Before the tech said they never leaked, making them too cheap, he said. So Hugo showed me this fitting with no knob that he said wouldn't leak. He put it on my tank and it didn't leak. But he didn't make me one because he said "We charge $30, you can get it cheaper elsewhere". I knew where, Hose power! See my Yelp review about Hose Power in Mesa. my Turn out the hose at Hose Power costs almost ,$30 because just the male brass nipple in the picture costs $18. Anyhow I resolved my hose leaks I struggled with for 2 months from my visit to Arizona Propane and Hose Power. Now I can cook and use my propane fridge in my RV. read more

This review is for Fountain Hills location but they are probably all the same. BEWARE OF THEFT AT THE PUMP! If you don't get 5 gallons you will still PAY for 5 gallons even if your tank only takes 3 or 4 gallons. At $3.39 a gallon I consider that theft. I never noticed before cause always filled 2-3 tanks. If there were a 0, that's what I'd give them. From a scheduling standpoint, they simply couldn't care less. They always show up.....eventually, days or weeks later but in several years of service calls, never been on the day it is scheduled so you waste a lot of time waiting for them. You can call the office , always wait on hold to hear the same old story; claim they have no way to contact drivers and they " will get there when they get there". Drivers are always nice but what a pita to get service. Not much else as an option in my area or I'd be gone in a second. read more

What's that you say? You have a propane tank that's empty and you don't know what to do with it? I was in that boat, and was trying to decide where I should go swap my empty tank for a full one. I priced out the typical Blue Rhino swap places and it looked like it would cost me up to $30 for a refilled tank. Doing some research, I found a list of propane service companies, called up Arizona Propane, and they confirmed they would refill my tank while I wait. This part of McKellips Road always makes me laugh...3 miles from Scottsdale, 3 miles from Mesa, and yet whenever I'm on it I feel like I'm lost on a back road in West Texas. But the lot wasn't hard to find. I drove up to what looked like an old-time gas pump, the guy filled my tank for less than $15 and I drove away a happy camper, er, barbecuer. I've been serviced by AZ. Propane since 1997. They've been going downhill the last few years. I order propane 2 times per year. 2 yrs. ago the driver said he couldn't loosen the pig ears to change tanks w. his channel locks, by this time they were round. So i gave him an old pipe wrench & they came right off. Then Jan. 2019 i had them refilled. Went out the next day to Jacuzzi & no propane? For the first time in 22 yrs. i left the heater on so $208.00 down the drain. I finished working with this company even before starting that. I called them to get a quote to refill my 100 lbs tanks but the lady on the line was too rude and unfriendly. The first impression of a business is the most important thing and if they still don't know how to talk with the people how you are supposed to have a good business with them. I called on Monday morning for a Tuesday delivery since they only deliver to our location on Tuesday and Thursday. Our tank was empty and we have waited all day for delivery. I called at 4:30 and they said the delivery would be made. I called again at 5:30 and now because the office is closed the call goes to the answering service. The answering service took my information and stated they would pass it to the representative which would contact me. They said if I did not hear from anyone within an hour to call back. I called back at 7:00 and still no status just we have passed along my information to the representative. I called again at 8:30 and still the same run around. I bought a house with a hot tub and found Aero propane receipt. they were gruff, kind of rude, wouldn't fill my grill bottles, had a standard charge of a full tank whether or not my tank had any left in it, and charged $243 to fill my tanks regardless of how much I actually took. Then a friend recommended ARIZONA PROPANE (480-990-1620 teresa). friendly PEOPLE AND They charge by the gallon, and two full tanks cost $150 total, NOT $243. THEY ALSO FILLED GRILL BOTTLES when they were there and answered several questions I had. I regret not finding them sooner, I wasted money twice using the wrong company. Never again. read more

I hired Arizona propane to switch from a electric range to a propane one. There was a bit of a drama on the day of the installation - the field guys brought refurbished tanks even though I had explicitly asked for new tanks during the quote. After A long to and fro with the office, new tanks were sent. Installation work was decent.
