As someone who finds it difficult to finish a whole sandwich and side I appreciated the option to order a half sandwich. I had the cheesesteak and it was very good - with a heaping pile of meat and a soft hoagie roll. The housemade chips are tasty as well and they give you plenty of those to snack on. The restaurant has an open, industrial feel and it's a cool fit for downtown. I saw at least three other sandwiches I'd like to try on a return visit if I make it back to Flagstaff.

It has taken me 2 years to do this review, but it bothers me enough I felt the need to. I brought…read more2 cows to them 2 years ago and had them butchered. When we picked up the meat we got 585 lbs from one and 256 lbs from the other. They were both the same size and age and when I told the local large animal vet, who saw them 2 months prior to butchering, he could not believe it and joked did we drop off a calf. I asked them if they ever mix someone else's up with another's and he said no. When we got the organs there was only a heart and when we asked about the liver he just went into the freezer and came out with someone else's. They sell dog food, and we wondered where the meat comes from for it, now we know. The problem is how do you prove something went wrong. After spending the time and money raising them it is very discerning when you get ripped off. I was hesitant in using them to begin with due to word of mouth negative reviews but tried out of convenance, not again.

The shop was amazingly clean and offered not only Piedmontese Beef, but organic chicken, duck, and Easter Ham. My girlfriend and I went a little "nutzo koo koo" and picked up steaks, hamburgers, Bacon Fig Kabobs, hand-made sausage, and dried Morel mushrooms. There is even a great selection of seasonings and a dedicated cheese refrigerator to round out the meal. To clear up some confusion from other reviews: this is a legitimate butcher shop, not a restaurant! We watched the butcher bringing out fresh hand-cut steaks, bone-in ribeyes, and even a massive Tomahawk. They also have fresh, never-frozen prepared hamburger patties ready to go. We definitely splurged, and even though we live 2 hours away in Phoenix, the helpful store manager--a friendly Viking with an amazing red beard--gave us an ice pack to keep our provisions perfectly refrigerated for the trek home. Go ahead and brag about these cuts; they deserve every bit!

We ordered in advance a 17 lb. 7 bone prime rib for a holiday meal for 14 people. It was more than sufficient, and we sent leftovers home with folks afterward. The cut of meat was absolutely beautiful and slow cooked so easily. There was a bit of unexpected fat, but nothing too out of line with quality, and it was delicious. Everyone loved it As would be expected, it was outrageously expensive but worth the quality. The value was definitely in it. Extremely disappointing inventory management!…read more Every single time I visit this location, the frozen food section is nearly depleted leaving the frazen cases with lots of bare shelves. It is only an aisle and a half, yet there are consistently massive gaps where products should be. As the only major grocery store chain in a busy tourist town, you would think management would understand the high demand. Instead, the bare shelves show a complete lack of competence from whoever is currently managing this department. They are failing to meet basic retail standards, losing sales, and making the store look terrible. Occasional out-of-stocks are normal, but this level of chronic emptiness points directly to poor oversight and incapable staff needing to be put in place. Hopefully, store leadership addresses this management failure soon, because the current situation is incredibly frustrating for customers.
