Bonus, they do provide to-go cups, so you can enjoy your cocktail or beer in your hotel room. The service was always top-notch, and the bartenders were able to give us great advice on exploring the town of Williams. The only critique I have is the lack of TVs for watching sports. They are all pretty tiny, and when we went, offered no sound. Overall, if I came back to Williams again, I would definitely swing by Spenser's.

I had a "martini" that was excellent and tasted like kahlua and cream. I went back for seconds after eating the somewhat "challenged in taste" department food. I'd eaten a big lunch, so I just went for the Asian themed salad. The lettuce looked like it had seen better days, and they covered it with those crunchy Chinese noodles to try to hide the wiltedness. I hope there was no slime, but I'm not entirely sure in hindsight. I only ate half of it and ordered another drink instead. The yuk factor ratcheted up with my husband's bratwurst, which was served on a pretzel roll. It looked good at first, and he dived in, but after a couple bites he noticed the mold on the bun. Mold! On the bun. Ewwwww! This made me look at my own salad with a more discerning eye, to be sure. To their credit they brought him a different meal, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, that he proclaimed "bland, needed salt and pepper (there was none on the table) but at least there was no mold." I felt bad for the server, because if they're serving food this crap on a daily basis, they must be terrified to go to work. It's a real shame, because I think the hotel is lovely. They need a better food manager who doesn't allow this kind of poor quality to walk out the door of their kitchen. Oh, it was our anniversary too. Happy anniversary to us! Woot!

It wasn't a total waste but it definitely seems like things have changed since the rave barbecue reviews... We came in the early afternoon after a day of driving through monsoons with a toddler. The location is right as you drive into town, super welcoming, and very kid friendly - tons of contained outdoor play space, with lawn games, a mining area, a sasquatch statue for photos, and tons of covered seating. They even have wifi for me to get some work done. All plusses! Things took a steep turn when we went to order. After waiting in line, there is a tiny sign at the register that they are out of several products - no pulled chicken, pulled pork, texas twinkies, or wings. The last two were going to be in my order, so we did a quick pivot for a Partner Platter for $45, with ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese, and beans. It should have been a red flag that they didn't ask if I wanted lean or fatty cut brisket. What arrived was a mess. My husband asked what proteins I got because it wasn't visually evident. The ribs had a bark on them that was 2/3rds of the way to jerky. The brisket was so shredded and dry, even their three house sauces couldn't save it. The sausage was served split and cut side town, because it too was dry AF. I hate letting protein go to waste but these were awful. Sides were fine, my toddler inhaled half the macaroni and the beans were okay. Cornbread has a bit of jalapeno in it, which I prefer over sweeter versions that are more common. But damn, this was a $50+ meal that basically fed a two year old. Service throughout was super friendly. It's not the food runner's fault that the kitchen is serving up dried out proteins and I am understanding about the fact that their walk in supposedly crapped out (the explanation we were given for so many items being unavailable). None of the other customers seemed visibly upset by their food quality, but I gradually noticed most people were ordering burgers, so maybe we ordered wrong. But if this is the norm for the barbecue they serve, they need to take it off the menu altogether. Great spot for kids to play and to stretch your legs after a long drive, or to enjoy the nice weather - but maybe just grab drinks or apps.

The very, very sweet cashier misunderstood me asking about a bear claw (maybe she didn't know what it was?) and steered me towards something else with almonds. My wife found this place on Yelp and it looked like it fit the bill WOW! This place was VERY popular on the morning of July 4. Inside was packed, there was a line out the door, and the drive-through had a line down the street. We parked and joined the line, which actually moved quickly. I appreciated the efficiency of the order processing, despite people in line ordering drinks for their whole family (some having to check in and get answers to questions via text or phone). Since my wife and I were both present in line, we were ready to go when it was our turn. She wanted a pastry and I mostly drink black coffee, so our order was filled immediately -- I was presented with a cup and directed to the self-service pump machine at the end of the line. The coffee had a nice roast and good flavor. As it came from a pump, it was not "freshly brewed," though I assume it was "very recently brewed." If you want the freshest, you'll have to wait for an Americano, but if you want fast like I did, get the drip coffee and get on your way. :)
