Hot sauce selection looked wonderful but didn't get the opportunity to see much. The owner was extremely rude. My son had a beige face mask. He didn't realize he had a mask on, due to his skin tone being the same shade. He shouted to my 8 year old. He kicked us out. He said, your kid needs a mask. Get out! Get out of here! Geez, relax mister. Lay off the hot sauce it's making you a nervous wreck.

My son loves all things hot and spicy so of course we had to stop by. We saw a few things we might be interested and I decided to ask the gentleman working what his favorite salsa was or what was a popular item. He brought out a few more bottles of his ghost pepper salsa because he said it was so popular he had to restock. He advices us he gave samples so we of course had to try! It was delicious. I'm pretty wimpy when it comes to hot stuff, but it was worth every bite. It was hot, but still to a point where I could enjoy it. We left with a jar for home. Cute little photo op area inside as well.

Our salsas and hot sauce! Plus some local oil & vinegar from another Jerome business!

I just need to come on and rave about how great this company is! My friend has told me to visit Jerome Ghost Pepper co, when we visited Jerome. Unfortunately, we missed them a few minutes after closing. I decided to order some of their salsas online instead, but had a little trouble with the shipping cost changing on me (totally okay, a fluke that happened, no one's fault). But not only were the owners extremely responsive when I ask if the shipping charge was correct, they gave me an extra salsa for my trouble and even refund the shipping altogether! Above and beyond for sure! My package arrived 1 day later and delicious doesn't even begin to explain it! This place is the epitome of customer service done right and I am very thankful! Definitely support this wonderful small business!

Always on the lookout for a good hot-sauce so was pleasantly surprised to find a specialty hot-sauce shop in Jerome that also stocked a Barbadian option I've had and enjoyed - thanks to the owner for the great tip

This place was very awesome! They have ton's of selections of different peppers, and spices. I was pretty amazed by the display inside this store. The woman working there had a ton of knowledge when it can to the different peppers and how they are prepared for all the sauces. I love the fact you can taste test all the sauces for free. I tried the Carolina Reaper pepper sauce, and the ghost pepper sauce. They were both hella hot! Love it! The prices for the sauces is very reasonible for sure. If you ever find yourself in the Jerome area, you should definietly consider stopping in here.

I love salsa, but am a bit of a wuss when it comes to heat, but knew I needed to check out this store before I venture back down into the Valley. As you enter the store your eyes are on sensory overload due the bright Mexican inspired colors on the wall, but it gets you super excited for what you are about to encounter. My friend and I were in awe of the extensive collection of hot sauce, salsa and barbecue sauces that aligned the shelves in the two little rooms that makeup this store. You will also notice some local artwork (including this really cool aluminum mirror), pottery, and glassware that are available for purchase. We were warmly welcomed by Marc, the owner, and quickly introduced to his store that carries multiple brands of hot sauce and salsa that are available in mild, medium and hot. I let him know of my inability to tolerate severe heat and Marc gladly told me which products to stay away from, which would be the ghost peppers that are available in quite a few jars. We were then lead to the front of the store where he offers complimentary tastings and details about each salsa we were sampling. As my friend and I were munching away and savoring every delicious bite of salsa we let Marc know how happy we were that we decided to change our road trip plan and head to Jerome. Marc then casually enlightened us as to way Jerome is way better then that six letter S word north of Jerome and we couldn't help but agree. We ended up purchasing three different salsas. A Mango Chipotle that is sweet and tasty, the Fire Roasted Salsa that has a bit of a kick, but nothing I can't handle, and the Black Bean that reminds you of mixing the salsa and re-fried beans when you are at a Mexican restaurant. Definitely check this place out for great salsas and conversation. Thanks Marc!

Bought me some ridiculously hot sauces. Expensive, but hey, it's a storefront that just sells hot sauces and they have some wild stuff.

I love general store old fashion candy and popcorn. When you first step in the smell of butter and caramel popcorn immediately hugs your senses in a warm embrace. There are rows of bagged candies, rows and rows of truffles in the glass case, and retro candy scattered throughout. It would be a bit overwhelming if I wasn't a popcorn / candy nut. I skipped over the gummies and candy you can find anywhere, skimmed over the retro offering and beelined to the popcorn. I settled for the large bags of caramel and kettle which were reasonably priced. Another customer behind me commented it was too high priced but you get high quality ingredients. Easily taking a tie for the second spot for best popcorn I've had in my life. Both the caramel & kettle are crisp, few to no kernels, and is the perfect level of sweetness. Our family snacked on the bags days after and it stayed crisp and delicious to the last bite. Regrets were made on not buying more; lol. My cousin and I were lucky enough to swoop right in before the kitchen closed. We shared a grilled and cheese sandwich ($10.75) + ($4.50 for the ham). To be honest, I felt a little impatient waiting for our sandwich because given the space and kitchen, I just expected a simple grilled ham & cheese situation. Instead, out came the most glorious grilled ham and cheese I have ever encountered. It was beautifully crafted - 2 types of melty cheese (cheddar + havarti), a thick slice of honey ham, topped with fresh spinach all sandwiched between two toasted slices of garlic butter-ed whole grain bread. It was unexpectedly gourmet and a perfect treat after trekking up and down the hills of Jerome. I'm pretty sure I met Chad during our quick meal. He's nice. And Flatiron is the perfect pit stop.

There are places you go for the wine. And then there are…read moreplaces you go for the people--and somehow the wine tastes better because of it. Caduceus Cellars, perched improbably in the bones of Jerome, is one of those rare joints where hospitality is not a script, not a brand exercise, but a lived, practiced craft. The kind you don't learn in a seminar. You earn it over years of showing up early, pulling shots, wiping counters, listening to locals, and remembering faces. We walked in right after opening--early, quiet, the town still rubbing the sleep out of its eyes. And then something extraordinary happened. Allen looked up, smiled, and recognized us. Not from last week. Not from last season. From eleven years ago. That kind of memory stops you in your tracks. It's not clever. It's not performative. It's human. It says: you mattered the last time you were here. From there, the hour evaporated. Life, travel, how Jerome has changed and how it hasn't. The ebb and flow of a town that's been rich, abandoned, rediscovered, and reimagined more times than most American cities ever will be. Brian and Allen don't rush you through a tasting--they invite you into a conversation. The wine is the anchor, but the exchange is the point. Before the cellars, these two ran what many locals still swear was the best café in Jerome. That's where they learned the real trade: how to read a room, how to listen, how to make people feel welcome without making a show of it. Coffee and espresso are brutal teachers--there's nowhere to hide. That discipline carries over beautifully here. And the wine? It's the kind that demands attention without demanding obedience. Thoughtful, expressive, unapologetically rooted in place. You come for what may very well be the best wine in the West--and you stay because someone remembered your name. Caduceus Cellars isn't just a tasting room. It's a reminder that the soul of travel isn't novelty--it's connection. Go for the wine. Stay for Brian and Allen. Leave with the feeling that, somehow, Jerome remembers you too.
