I know this store offers exceptional quality, highly customizable leather furniture because I purchased two sets over the past 20 years. That is the only reason I'm giving this store three stars; I wouldn't want to deter buyers from considering this furniture line. The service I received yesterday was unexpected, if not disappointing. The gentleman was reluctant to help us. He certainly answered our direct questions but beyond that made little effort to engage or help us. We knew what we were looking for so that wasn't a cause for concern, just odd. However, when I asked for a print out of the sheet that shows the pieces he suddenly appeared very put off. Was the printer broken? Was it too much trouble? I know this couch comes in many options as far as the configuration goes...because a few years ago I spent $$$$ on a sectional...so in my experience there is lots to choose from. Then I picked out the leather and and asked if he might have a smaller sample I could take home. He handed me one and promptly informed me that "we like to get those back". I'm sure you do but here is the thing, if I'm looking at a $$$$ couch, why don't you tell me about the benefits of the $$$$ leather I've just chosen BEFORE demanding the 2"x2" sample back. I responded "I'll return your sample after I get my couch." At that point I let my irritation show. Not nice of me but I was done. Contrast this to my experience purchasing my last couch in Scottsdale. The woman helping me there went through the leathers and colors with me, sat down and drew out a to-scale sketch to help me consider different configurations for my space. Guided my leather choices based on my needs. Was friendly, attentive and helpful. Then she let me take home the store's large leather sample and provided me a pre-paid addressed envelope so that I could easily return it. And she professionally asked that I return it within X days so it was available to other customers. I certainly didn't require the same level of assistance during this shopping trip. But why am I getting hassled of a single page print out and a 2x2 inch sample? When I requested the quote for my preferred configuration, I was then promptly informed that I could completed the purchase over the phone and wouldn't need to return to the store. I knew that but thanks anyway. Maybe I'm being grouchy and unfair. But when I walked in and told him I was a two-time repeat customer looking for my third set and I brought my niece with me who I explained was building her house currently AND shared that I had told her that if she was considering leather furniture she HAD to visit Arizona Leather, I was expecting we would receive professional assistance. I admit I was not planning to buy that day. So I wasn't an imminent high-value customer that required intensive assistance. But I am a loyal customer who could have benefited from the help of an expert. And my niece was a potential new customer who could have been wowed by her experience at the store but instead, because no one took the time to explain to her what sets this furniture apart from PB and C&B and RH, left feeling like the $$$$ wasn't worth it. My expectations were high and admittedly perhaps unrealistically so. But they were set by my previous experiences with this company. I'll lower them though. And I'll call the helpful woman in Scottsdale to assist me with this purchase. It'll be nice to catch up anyway. read more

We purchased 2 couches a double chair and hassock 3 years ago in the Scottsdale store from Lynn. The leather is pebble grained recommended by Lynn since our two 30lb terriors have full run of our furniture. The leather still looks brand new. The structures are like new. One of the pillow backs has been crushed by me due to my 300 lbs and the way I sit. Just picked up a large roll of heavy duty batting at this location from Gary. Free. Here at home we just made the refill. Now the back pillow is like new. Thank you Gary for such excellent service. P.S. real nice dog you have. read more

We have been trying to get Arizona Leather to deal with a warranty issue with our couch for over five months. We noticed a crack in one of the cushions that is getting worse over time. After four months and eight calls to customer service they finally sent a different company out to look at the crack. This persons said it appeared to be from a knife which makes zero sense but I have attached a photo so you can judge for yourself. They are refusing to cover this under warranty after spending over $$7,500 on two custom couches. Do not go here. They have the worst ever customer service. They do not respond to calls. In general, their furniture (sofas and chairs) are very comfortable and well built. My issue is with the service after the purchase. We have a large sectional with dual power recliners. The first motor went out within 1 year and was replaced under warranty by a third party company (On-Site). It took several days to even get a call back from them and that was after call AZ Leather's main office to get them to call me back. Well, 4 years later the motor goes out again and I call AZ Leather. The motor is no longer under warranty. which I knew. When I asked about who to call for a replacement I was told they use On-Site, but don't expect a call back from them for several weeks and it my be months before they get to you. So, to AZ Leather - why in the world would you stick with a third party repair service that is complete crap, and you acknowledge it??? Even though their furniture is quite good, as I mentioned above, I will not buy from them again. Keeping such a lousy repair service has damaged YOUR reputation to the point of taking you off the list when buying furniture. read more

Stop! Do not do not spend your money here! I've purchased a chair 3/2919 recurved it 11/6/19. One excuse after another and found tthey never turned paperwork into production. Chair is good excellent quality but terrible awful service! Stupid me order a second chair, 11/13/19 told it'll take 14 weeks (due 2/20/20. Just received a phone call telling me it won't be here until mid April. Please I beg you all do not purchase from them. Liars, could care care less except you get your money! 9/7/2020 - Here is what was CUSTOM about it! All 4 pieces had scuffed leather (CEO says that's normal). They colored it with a marker! The loveseat frame crooked and tilts to the right. One of the recliners has the wrong motor in it (CEO said we were not right about this even though the repair team were the ones who told us) The other recliner frame crooked and tilts to the right and the electronic connections are half buried in the seat. After tech spent several hours identifying the issues, we asked AZ Leather to pick up the furniture and issue us a refund. They refused stating it was a custom order. At delivery, we were given the opportunity by the delivery team and their supervisor to accept and pay balance or decline all furniture and make no payment. If we had known EVERYTHING that was wrong, we never would have accepted delivery; however, that is no longer an option according to the CEO. They now want the tech to spend a full day, or more, to come and repair the damages/incorrect motor/faulty parts. Company CEO offered no apology for extremely poor craftsmanship and solely stated their "no refund policy for custom work". With this much wrong on delivery, one can only imagine what more we will find and how much more time we will be spending to pursue. We have reached out to BBB, CreditCard Co, and we have been advised to seriously consider contacting AZ Channel 3, ("3 on your side). Please beware of ordering Custom furniture from AZ Leather! 8/26/2020 We ordered 4 pieces of living room furniture on 2/29 for over 11,000. With COVID-19 our original delivery date was extended which we had no issue with. Upon delivery on 6/25, all 4 pieces (couch, love seat and 2 recliners) arrived with various "scuffs" in the leather which the CEO told us is normal! We also reported the base for one piece was not level, one cushion covered the controls for the chair and the motor for another piece was not working. Once the repair person came out, we learned the motor was incorrect for the piece and two of the bases would need to be replaced which could take up to a month to get the parts and, along with fixing the scuffs, would entail a full day of repairs. Once we learned of all of this, given the fact that for high-end furniture we certainly didn't get quality craftsmanship, we faxed our concerns to the CEO, advising we want to return the furniture for full refund. CEO did not respond to our fax and after 2 weeks when we called him and advised of the issues, he told us we were wrong about the incorrect motor and faulty bases and that a refund simply was "not going to happen". In addition, he wasn't aware of our fax, nor offer any apologies along the way. Overall extremely poor craftsmanship which never should have left their warehouse, along with non-existent customer service and lack of professionalism by the CEO, this is not a company one should not want to do business with. read more

We were disappointed and ticked off that the Tempe salesman didn't help us. We had invested an hour driving there and waited around for the salesman to come back after asking him about the sale. He pointed to a swatch table and walked away. We think he didn't bother with us because I asked him about the "sale" and the "Phoenix" group of leathers. That's a tell tale sign that you will only spend about $2200 on your sofa. We think he ditched us for some other people in the showroom that maybe he thought wanted to spend more. Maybe a different salesperson would have been helpful. My sister went to the Scottsdale store and bought a sofa, chair and ottoman and said that the sales women there were very helpful and kind. We had such an amazing experience with Gary and the team, starting with our visit to the store. We were greeted immediately when we entered and Gary gave us some info on the store and the furniture, and then let us browse around. We never felt pressured to buy or like a sales person was hovering around us all the time. Gary was so helpful in guiding us through picking exactly what we wanted... we picked the type of leather, color, style couch, cushions, everything. We felt this couch really was exactly what we wanted. The process was so easy and non-stressful. Then four weeks later our couch was delivered, exactly during the delivery time they told us. They helped us remove our current couch, and did a wonderful job in setting up the new sectional and making sure it was right where we wanted it. We really feel like the team all around cared about their product and service they were providing, even Gary asking us to send him pictures showed how personally invested he was in each customer and that he loved seeing the final products. I will admit that the sale part of the transaction was great but now that we are asking for help from the service department over some quality control issues with the recliner couches they are completely absent. My wife and I were looking for a leather sectional for literally 2 years. We hit every department store and furniture store we could find. We ran into such poorly constructed furniture. I mean we would shake it and it would feel like it was on the verge of falling apart. We would read reviews and there would be a host of problems. We nearly bought one knowing we would be replacing it in 7 years. On a whim we went into Arizona Leather. We spent hours in the store with Michael that answered every question we had. We shook furniture and sat on every one of the sectionals n the store multiple times. Then we went back the next day and did it again and asked a lot more questions, I have to say the Michael was awesome and was patient as heck with us. We finally bought our sectional and it was delivered in February. I will admit it was nerve racking waiting for it to be built and delivered. Also there was the fear of, "will the quality and color match the show room?'. Plus we ended up paying a little bit more than we had budgeted but there is no doubt in our minds that this will last for the next 20+ years. Each one is built here in the states and the quality shows. Michael is a superstar and we are totally in love with the sectional. Also all of our boys and dogs are hanging out more in the living room and the sectional is taking the abuse without a scratch! We have been entertaining the idea of getting a really good leather couch for years after our crappy couch from Ashley Furniture is literally falling apart. We happened to be in town and decided to simply pop in the store and browse and get ideas. Mike made us feel welcome, and didnt pressure or hover over us at all! Being new to leather furniture, Mike took the better part of a few hours giving us a ton of information to think about on just leather! We had'nt even thought about the style of couch yet! He wrote down everything that we had basically decided on and never pressured us into buying anything at all that day, which was the one thing that I was dreading. After a night to think about everything, my wife and I went back the next day and finalized exactly what we wanted. Mike spent about another hour and a half with us before we even did ordering paperwork. He even worked on the price to bring it down a little more! The overall experience was outstanding to say the least! I was expecting car sales tactics, and got a no pressure pure customer service experience!!
