Edie cried about it every day. My wife tracked down the same bunny online, but it had been discontinued and the personalized embroidery was no longer available. We bought a plain one and brought it to Twisted Stitches, hoping they could recreate the name. The staff treated it like it mattered as much to them as it did to us. They helped me match the font and thread color to the original, and even carefully removed existing stitching from the ear so the embroidery could be placed perfectly. When I picked it up, it was flawless -- indistinguishable from the bunny we lost. When I asked what I owed, Mel, the owner, refused payment. She didn't ask for anything in return. She simply said she was hoping for the best for our daughter and was happy to help. Edie has slept with her bunny every night since. I stopped by and a kind staff lady brought me the part but unfortunately neither of us could easily slide the telescope wand handle. She was honest and said it wasn't worth purchasing. I wouldn't have bought it either and appreciate her transparency. While I was there, I browsed through the sections of the store. I discovered embroidery machines, quilting patterns, supplies and a room full of fabrics for sale. I'm sure this will be a source for goods for patrons of Joanne's Fabric and Craft stores. It is sad that Joanne's is closing 800 locations after filing bankruptcy this past January. If I sewed or did any of the above I would be excited to visit here-but I'm not the sewing type. i even find sewing a missing button on clothing a chore! Cool place but some weird quarks to be aware of…read more 1. Shoes are wrapped in plastic to ensure when you buy a shoe it's 100% new and clean (or as close as it gets). People who buy shoes here are collectors. It makes sense. You cannot try them on. They do measure your foot. Personally for me this is the end of the transaction. I however am not the targeted market. My son is and he knows his size in the shoes he buys. His friends know their sizes. Different world of buyers. 2. They don't want food or drinks in their store. They enforce it and tell you upfront. From what I seen the rules apply to everyone. Looking around, buying five pairs of shoes, young kid, grown man, attractive college girl, doesn't matter. Eat and drink somewhere else. I watched them enforce the rule three times, with respect, it's posted. 3. They asked everyone in the store if they needed help or had questions. I look pretty homeless a lot, oil stained clothes from work and hobbies. I skip designer clothes, they have no value to me. I don't care about $400 plastic wrapped Nike tennis shoes above MSRP. My son does though and I buy them as gifts. The staff asked me, two college girls, a kid and his parents, and a few people wandering around if they needed help. Truthfully I was impressed with the customer service. I am 100% confident the young sales guys would rather spend time talking to college girls than me, you couldn't tell from their approach. They will ask multiple times while you look. They seemed really excited to talk about shoes. Again, I'm not the targeted market, I just want to buy shoes and leave. 4. I don't know about the return policy. You might to check it if this is a concern. I would bet it's strictly enforced. Overall, I was treated respectfully and got the help needed. They enforced the posted rules. This stuff is collector priced and hard to get. You just have to decide if this place makes sense to you according to what you want to buy.
