On tsp Smithwicks Beer was lukewarm. Wings are always excellent. Fries were crisp. Nachos were soggy.

    BYO BURGER

Went in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. It wasn't too busy, but definitely filled with some regulars. The bartender came right over for a drink order and offered me a menu. The menu is a decent size and I land on the Burger and Fries. Food was hot and delicious and the beer was cold.

    Meatball and Mushroom Pizza

I recently met up with some friends for lunch and we decided to go here and right off the bat I liked that there was ample parking as there usually isn't in this area and it's easy to find as well. We went in and were seated at a nice booth in the bar area, I liked how we could see the pizzas being made and the smell of the oven. Our waitress was fantastic and really made an effort to make sure we were taken care of. The interior is nice and comfortable and not over done. We all ordered pizzas and I had the meatball and mushroom which was fantastic, I honestly cannot believe I ate the whole thing but it was that good! It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful and light and crispy, the oven makes a nice crust and great flavor I haven't had anyplace else. If you are in the area do yours favor and stop by for some great food and service, you won't be disappointed!

    Guinness Beef Stew

Arigna's is a fantastic stop no matter what. Have come here for St. Paddy's Day, New Years, and just for fun many times. Their pizza is phenomenal, the fish and chips are some of the best we've had in New England, and their new menu has some incredible hits on it. The Guinness Beef Stew was especially good, the Honey Hogs, "Pork Wings", were fantastic as well. Always recommend coming here, it's a great spot and the service and quality is synonymous across both their Pawtucket and NP Locations.

SHEPHERD PIE Takeout (pic is what's beneath the potatoes)

Fantastic shepard's pie for takeout!!! I used door dash and the food was ready right on time and piping hot. ($16.60 w/ tax). The mashed potatoes were fluffy and the sauce was on point. They also gave a nice amount of meat which was also very good.

    Raw CAESAR salad

So I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken via GrubHub this evening and I get this; A few pieces of romaine, RAW chicken and no cheese or croutons. I have no idea how they charge $20 for this. Ridiculous!

Tuna melt, not well melted. Fries were great tho.

I'll be generous and go with four stars but I'd say more like 3.5 really. We came here after a hike at the Caratunk Wildlife Refuge. They have an extensive beer selection but sadly they were out of both of our first choice beers. I was hoping for a Shipyard Pumpkin brew and my bf was hoping for a Chubby Unicorn brew from our favorite local brewery, Smug. I settled on another pumpkin beer I never heard of and bf got a Fat Tire. The unknown pumpkin beer was quite tasty but served in a smallish glass. There are no prices on the beer menu (wtf?) and when we got the check the unknown pumpkin beer was $9. Again, wtf? Anyways, for food we both got tuna melts which were huge and served with fries and a pickle. We could have ordered one and shared it because we could each only eat half of our plate. The fries were very tasty, thick and fresh out of the fryer. They had malt vinegar on the tables, which I always appreciate. The tuna melt had tasty ingredients but sadly was not very melted. The bread was toasted but the interior was kind of cold and the cheese not melted. Part of why I wanted to take the other half home was to properly melt it. Service was totally fine and we were seated and the food came quickly, although I would have appreciated a bit more cooking time on the melt. When we first arrived there was a very loud table near us which was kind of annoying but once they left, the volume returned to normal levels. We saw several other groups just enjoying a mellow lunch so maybe that was an anomaly. Very traditional pub decor and aesthetics.

    Buffalo tenders.

A working owner - I love it - and the joy and pride was very evident. The menu is extensive - serving burgers and salads - and entrees that are very different and appealing. The apps offered were also such good options that the appeal makes you want to come back. I ordered the potato kegs - which were good - could have been a little crispier but the taste was there. For my entree I ordered the spinach parm crusted chicken and it actually was delicious. It was a nice chicken breast topped with spinach dip and mozzarella - served with a delicious medley of mush - onions and peppers and mash potatoes. The mash potatoes were definitely homemade. I do wish there was a gravy to top them however really not needed but it would be a great accompaniment. Overall - and I mean it- 4.5 stars !! I wish I lived closer but this will be a place I come to visit more often. Cheers!! If you haven't been come and visit Nikki - the awesome owner.

Service was good, no issues with Waitress on her first night on the job. Ambiance seemed a little "off", no decoration inside main room on walls or tables--barren! At least two of the big screen TV's in main space not turned on and a third was showing a re-run of last night's NFL game--until we asked for it to be changed to tonight's Live NFL game! It feels "cafeteria-like" the way the tables are arranged in main area. There was a backhoe parked behind the building so we assume they're still finishing renovations. We were absolutely blown away by the quality and taste of all of their dishes -- everything was packed with authentic, bold flavors that had us savoring every bite. To top it all off, the service was outstanding. Tyler, the manager, was so welcoming and gave us some incredible recommendations. We ordered the nachos with everything, who put balsamic vinegar on nachos??? Not a great choice and the guacamole was very salty. I ordered the smelts that were supposed to be served with a vinegar based sauce and fava beans. I like both so why not. It came with seven smelts and three fava beans but plenty of cold vinegar sauce and onions. The sauce should've been warmed up, not so greasy and more beans. I think the smelts were $15, which was fine if it was what was listed on the menu. I'm hoping it was an off night, I know food costs are through the roof and I don't mind paying for great food but this wasn't it, tonight. Maybe the new owner wasn't onsite, we will give it one more chance.

We kicked things off with a Cosmopolitan in honor of our guncles Mike & Bob before diving into an amazing meal. Hubby's must-have is always the Portuguese clams. It is the perfect amount of clams, chorizo & beans in a deliciously spicy sauce. I can never resist the chicken tenders tossed in Mozambique sauce. We also shared the sausage, rabe & beans pasta, which was hearty & comforting. The portions here are incredibly generous - we left with enough food for two people to enjoy two full meals! Even better, appetizers are now half-priced from 3-6 pm, making happy hour an even sweeter deal. And if you visit on a Wednesday or Thursday, be sure to say hello to the wonderful Celeste. We were the only customers when we dined there for lunch at noon on a Wednesday. I guess it's more of a dinner place. Both my dining companion & I ordered Chicken Francaise ($22.95) on pasta, which was good but not exceptional. The serving was generous enough to bring home leftovers. It would have been nice to have been offered a bread basket, but that seems to be going the way of the dinosaur in restaurants. Our server was fine. The restaurant, while basic, was clean. The entire menu is available during opening hours. I thought the prices were a bit high for a tavern. Perhaps smaller lunch portions of the entrees for a reduced fare? I did consider the Portuguese steak sandwich, but at $18.95 thought it too expensive. I have friends who absolutely LOVE this restaurant, but I was underwhelmed. I'd consider giving it another chance during the dinner service.
