After much discussion on bedroom furniture, countless trips to I don't know how many furniture stores in Georgetown, Tyson's, etc, and a lot of online Windows shopping (I don't have an Apple...get it? muahhaha), I chose my new bedroom set at Arhaus. Seeing as price is the most frequent complaint in Yelp reviews of Arhaus, let's get that out of the way: this place isn't cheap. But almost nothing of quality is. So, if you can't afford it, either live outside your means and stop bitching about it or go to Ikea. That being said, there's never a reason to pay full price here, though even most of the sale prices are not inexpensive. [Side note, a few actually are if the timing is right. My indecision finally paid off when the gorgeous, solid wrought iron queen bed frame I wanted continued to drop in price until I finally bought it at $449 - $50 per bedroom piece - 5% discount.] Had the prices been a little lower, this would no doubt be five stars. In addition to the Saint Lucia bed, I got several pieces from the Avignon collection for dressers, nightstands and the like. The wooden pieces are of excellent quality. All of these items are from the main Arhaus collections so they're delivered straight from the warehouse in Ohio. They come on a big delivery truck and there was no fee -- likely because I'd spent a substantial amount on furniture...not sure if/how much the fee would have been otherwise. They are very good about informing you via phone precisely when your delivery will arrive -- from a four hour window to a two hour window to when delivery is imminent. Additionally, the girl who assisted me with my purchases, Patty, who is also the manager of the store, did a great job following up after everything was delivered. A lot of big furniture stores have good options in designs, styles, etc while being of superb quality, but what sets Arhaus apart from a lot of other stores is the unique pieces they sale. Each showroom has one-of-a-kind relics that are in great condition. They can't be shopped online but can be put on a 24 hour hold in the store if you need to go home and measure. These items are delivered by a local company, Tobin Transport, that picks them up from Tyson's and delivers straight to you at the flat rate of $99. Patty was nice enough to knock the $99 off the price of one of the special pieces I bought and after a simple inquiry on more discounts, she dropped some extra money off the second relic, too...in addition to the 5% discount on everything that was going on at the time. FYI, she said there's more wiggle room price-wise on these pieces versus the stuff coming from the warehouse, so shop smart. The guys from Tobin delivered my huge bookcase and trunk and tried to work with us to figure out how to get the bookcase up my narrow stairs. We settled for option B and left it in the living room, but lesson learned for furnishing my second bedroom...don't only measure how things will fit upstairs, figure out the angles and dimensions for getting them up there in the first place! One last note, Arhaus is pronounced "Our House." I thought it'd have some crazy German pronunciation or something...until my friend who used to live in Europe brought up that even in German "haus" sounds like "house." Oops. read more

Terrible customer service. I called the store to cancel an order and gave an associate my credit card information. After 1.5 weeks the return was not showing up on my CC statement. I proceeded to call the store multiple times to talk to that employee and never heard back. Today I went to the store to figure out what was going on. I was told the cancellation of the orders were never processed. The lady today upon trying to refund my money ended up charging my card AGAIN. She then had to call another store to have someone help her process the refund because no one else in the store would help her. The woman who I had given my credit card information to over the phone showed up and preceded to tell me that she hadn't processed the refund because she didn't know how and their manager had been gone for the last week. An hour later I FINALLY was taken care of by a store manager from a different store. DO NOT SHOP HERE! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The associate had my credit card information (the numbers/exp/code) for over 1.5 weeks and never processed a refund!!! read more

PROS: The furniture is beautiful. (And according to at least a few women the jewelry is also, but it didn't do anything for me.) It's mostly wood furniture - a mix of Asian and US country-style designs - made of a range of dark, medium, and light woods. Fabric-covered pieces have a wide range of options. The in-store employees (as well as the delivery people and traveling technicians) are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable [-ish - they seemed confused and frustrated by the upper-level customer service issues I mention in the next part...]. CONS: Everything is very expensive. (It appears that you get what you pay for in quality though; at least in heft and design, but I can't speak to longevity.) A key problem is that somewhere in the headquarters part of the company there is a severe lack of customer service, basically a lack of consideration for customers, bad enough to drop to a 2-star what would have been a 3-4 star rating - customers are not kept informed of delayed orders (including significant, multi-month, delays . . . for instance, caused by redesigns of ordered furniture that the customer was not notified of); no one on the phone will take responsibility, which results in a parade of transferred calls (often without any acknowledgement that a transfer is about to take place) to the lowest stuck-ee when bad news is to be passed to the customer (death-by-transfer for bad news, but good/simple news is always answered immediately...it's fascinating); problems take a ridiculously long time to be addressed, and no compensation is available to the customer, leaving cancellation of the order as the only option . . . IF you're willing to do without the wonderful piece you just ordered after weeks of looking for something just like it. (Hypothetically, of course...) Whether the pros outweigh the cons is a question each customer should consider for themselves. So far I would say yes...even though I'm on my fifth month of waiting for an entertainment center to be installed correctly - and it only took four months for delivery, after an initial promise of six weeks. (I _really_ like the design of the piece I bought, however at some point too much more of a delay may change that opinion and I'll take advantage of their refund/return policies. But, man, they've got some neat furniture!) read more

Bought a beautiful bedroom set here about 6 years ago. Apparently quality is severely lacking, the drawer rails on 3 of drawers have fallen apart or stripped out of the wood. About 1 yr after owning it I had to use their so called lifetime warranty. Had no problem, they came out and installed new rails. Now 3 more ate broken. Called to have it fixed under the "lifetime warranty" to find that they " are only legally obligated to keep my information in their database for 6 years at which time they likely delete it and then I have to provide my invoice (from 6 years ago) in order for me to get coverage under the lifetime warranty". How convenient for them. I'll never buy something from these people again. I don't support companies that scam or play games with their customers. read more

Beware when ordering online. The return policy is only 14 days. I live in Texas but work in Mexico City at least two weeks every month. I ordered a sofa online in December from Arhaus while I was in Mexico City. It was close to $2500. The sofa was delivered in January 2016, and I had to have my niece be at my apartment for me to accept delivery as I was out of the country the entire month of January. When I returned home for a one-week window at the first week of February, I saw the couch in my apartment for the first time and realized it was not going to work for me. I contacted Arhaus to see about returning it, but they said I was past the 14-day return policy. I explained that I hadf been out of coutry, no one has lived in my apartment and thus even sat on the sofa. I even offered to return for store credit. They told me I still could not return this sofa even for store credit. I am extremely disappointed with this company's lack of flexibility. That February, I went to a local furniture store and ordered about $15,000 worth of furniture. It is Arhaus's loss that they would not work with me under the circumstances I had. I was interested in purchasing more from them. Not now. Not ever. Additionally, Arhaus, do you think I will have anything good to say about your company to friends and family in the future? read more

Arhaus does not stand behind the quality of their furniture. Their customer service center informed us that the warranty for their product does not cover the fabric or leather. We purchase a dining table and chairs and one of the chairs "leather" covering peeled off of the fabric backing in multiple places including locations that could not be due to wear. They replied to our request for a replacement telling us that fabrics are not covered by the warranty. This was not explained or communicated to us at the time of purchase so beware when buying furniture from this company. This review is our only recourse so please consider this before you make a purchase! read more

I don't trust their sales staff or the quality of their furniture. In my last two orders, I have had serious problems with the couches, wooden desk, and upholstered chairs. Their furniture is for the most part cheap quality and imported from China. The sales staff try not to disclose this information. We are NEVER going back to Arhaus. They have completely lost our trust. read more

Terrible customer service. Just awful. Bought a bluestone dining table and it took THREE deliveries (and three afternoons off of work) to get one that wasn't cracked or defective - AND, it's still a little wobbly because they did a poor job of assembling it. (Although at that point, we'd had enough of dealing with them - see below.) The delivery folks were not skilled or professional. They showed earlier than the delivery window, and then acted like they were doing us a big favor by waiting around. THEN, they dented the wall of our freshly painted house with the stone table top. Lots of back and forth with Arhaus - who wanted to send their own repair guy to fix it. After a ton of arguing, they agreed to let us have our original contractor come back to fix and repaint the wall. (And that was just the first delivery attempt.) To top it all off, the bluestone, which was supposed to be super durable, shows a lot of water stains. Not sure if it was supposed to be sealed and wasn;t. No matter how nice some of these pieces look, they are totally not worth the headache and hassle - not to mention the expense - especially when the customer service people treated us like dirt after THEIR people repeatedly screwed up. read more

Terrible customer service! Spent several thousands on furniture. Two pieces were shipped damaged and had to be repaired or sent back. Purchased a clock that was called an "Iron Clock" that was covered in rust on the back side and was not sealed correctly on the front. Called Concierge Services and was told that the manufacturing process was being looked into. Never heard back from anyone until after several attempts. Was promised that something would be done. They offered to refund our shipping cost which was never done. Ended up giving us 15% off of the clock only. The rust ruined a pair of shorts. The drawer on the media center was broken. Very disappointed with this company and will not be purchasing their products any more. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! I ordered the copper top table with a black base. On the first delivery the base looked like someone hit it with a sledge hammer. On the second delivery the base had a crack from top to bottom. On the third delivery (which I was told was inspected) they sent me what can only be described as an "acid washed" base and stated that it was the correct base (probably because there was no crack in it) even though the base I saw at Tysons was solid black. On the fourth and final attempt Arhaus finally got it right and delivered a black base without a crack. Unless you have an unlimited budget for poor quality furniture and endless free time to wait for deliveries week, after week, after week -- I would suggest you do not purchase Arhaus Furniture! PS The only bright spot is that the delivery guys were always friendly and very apologetic about the quality of product I was receiving. The sales people in Tysons quickly "dumped" me into corporate customer service after the THIRD failed attempt to deliver the product I paid for -- so don't be fooled by the smiles and assistance you get when you go to the Tysons Store. read more

THe products they have are one of a kind, but ridiculously expensive- granted you have to pay for quality but we've been burnt twice by them. We unfortunately didn't learn our lesson after the first burn. We bought a beautiful leather couch , waited 14 weeks for it to arrive, while making payments on the Archarge card! When the piece finally arrived, it had scratch marks all over the couch!!! You would think someone would notice that. So that purchase ended with us returning the couch and then it took us over a month to settle the refund issue and get our credit for the monthly payments. After that we wandered back into the beautiful store and found ourselves drawn to a beautiful dining table - the Pietro dining table, had a wonderful old world feel, excellent dimensions and we were in love. We decided last folly was a one time thing and went ahead with the purchase. This time the dining table and chairs were in stock and arrived in our home. We were ecstatic with our purchase but we found a massive crack on the underside of the table top. So we called customer service they gladly arranged for an exchange without even asking to see pictures of the defect we were reporting. The delivery guys came with a new piece a week later and immediately we noticed a crack at the same place. They made another attempt and we were thinking hoping for third times a charm but didn't happen! The third piece also arrived but with two cracks near the table top, despite assurances from the customer service person of being checked by their quality control folks! Needless to say we have returned the dining table and are yet again calling the credit card company and arhaus store to sort out the refund issue!!! One would think that a company like arhaus would learn from their mistakes but that doesn't seem to be the case! So just beware. We have bought a wonderful bookcase and towers which we use as a media center from them and that purchase worked out fine. Looks like big items run into major quality issues with them though! So beware!!!! read more

Stay AWAY from this store! They do not value loyal customers at all! We PURCHASED A "ROWLAND LTH 33IN REL GRAPHITE" from Del AMO Mall IN REDONDO BEACH, CA, THAT NEVER REACHED US! ARHAUS is telling us too bad, that we should have reported upon delivery?,., Well, we had no way of knowing until 6 months later because along with ALL the other furniture we purchased from ARHAUS ($30,000+) we had delivered to our storage so we wouldn't have anyway of knowing if something was missing upon delivery until everything was delivered to our newly constructed home! *I was present for the delivery to our storage facility but couldn't make out what all was being delivered. Some items are boxed, wrapped etc. Sadly, my husband n I stumbled across Arhaus while frequenting my sons football games in Columbus. I fell in love with Arhaus ...big mistake! Fast forward to, they furnished our entire upstairs. Our house was under construction so items were delivered to our storage facility. Its a private, family ran facility. Renters hands NEVER touch the keys...only the owner, his son (General Manager) and managers, even they sign in and out. Well known, well respected in our community! ARHAUS told me to SEND my storage facility a INVOICE TO PAY FOR MY RECLINER even though ARHAUS DELIVERY GUYS/DRIVERS WERE THE ONES THAT NEVER DELIVERED MY RECLINER!! THEY TOOK OFF WITHOUT LEAVING A MANIFEST! The delivery guys were in a very BIG hurry as they kept stating they had a delivery to make in Fullerton, Ca. I'm going to reach out to a few members of my #buckeye family to gain more insight on my experience since ARHAUS is based out of Columbus. I/We have never been treated so poorly! Forget the fact we spent $30,000+ in 6 months! Money doesn't grow on trees! That Rowland recliner that ARHAUS is REFUSING TO MAKE GOOD ON wasn't cheap$2,000! read more

Their furniture is magnificant. Well priced, great quality and customizable. That is the extent of my praise. BUYER BEWARE - Make absolutely, positively sure you read the teeeny tiiiiiny print (if you do decide to finance) . My fiance' and I bought almost an entire living room set. The manager told us that there would be no interest paid for the first full year, after that interest would be set, etc. etc. What actually happened - Before we had a chance to transfer the entire remaining balance over, we were charged $1600. That is the full amount of interest for that "one year". Here's what's interesting - The furniture didn't arrive until three months after we financed it. And would you believe, we didn't start making payments until that time. We sifted through the contract and found in the smallest print imaginable, that to avoid the service fee (as they call it) the entire amount would have to be paid off by this date - XX XX XXXX . For us, that was two weeks ago. If you look at the date in which we bought the furniture and tag a full year to it - that didn't fall into their deadline. Ridiculous. Their customer service was awful over the phone. They had no response for their fuzzy math when it came to the "full year" agreement. I was told, "yeah its somewhere on the contract or website, you have to look for it....uuuuh I'm sure its there". We were than told to mail a dispute letter over to some random address in Ohio and pray they come back with a response before your next bill is due. We were also told that if we paid off the entire amount (including the back interest) that we would be admitting fault and a dispute would not go in our favor. Meanwhile - we would still make a monthly payment of $1600 above our remaining balance with 26+ % interest added. Great. Hands down, by far the worst bamboozle I have ever been a part of. read more

After shopping around at other furniture stores....Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, Ethan Allen, and Crate and Barrel...I always end up back at Arhaus. The selection is just so different than the others. I always feel inspired to start a project. The latest one was my basement/ rec. room. I always love instant gratification. So, Stacey helped me find the 3 main pieces I needed that were in stock and then she helped me with the rest to pull it all together. Sofa, chair, tv unit, done. Then lamps, end table, rug, and artwork for one wall. Well, I had everything delivered within 2 weeks. It looks amazing. I did end up exchanging one end table, but that was easy. I always feel like the people working there really want your room to be the best it can be. Stacey called to make sure the delivery went well too! And she asked me to send her pictures because she was dying to see the room finished. I felt like I was on my own HGTV show! Thank you!!! read more

Arhaus we are done for life. Shame on you for having sales associates who would lie and trick customers into buying defective items in the store. Not a fan of furniture shopping. For me it's tantamount to going to the dentist, painful during but looks great afterwards. So when I walked into the Tyson's store I was thinking root canal. But low and behold I saw a bed that I liked. Chris the salesman was great found the fabric to make it perfect and before I knew it I was racking up nightstands, lamps, a dresser and even a chair. Whoa......Chris knew how to bundle it all up and it was on sale. Two weeks later it was delivered. The bed had an issue and will have to be exchanged. The delivery guys could have been a little more gentle with my walls. But all in all it looks great and wasn't so painful. Chris called afterwards with a followup and I am a very happy customer. read more

Filmore Fit Queen Air Sleeper in the Theater Night fabric is a "No Go". The seat cushions and back pillows wrinkle and sag. They are not taut and do not reshape after sitting on them. We ordered bedroom furniture and bedding from Arhaus and as soon as this order is completed (yes I'm still waiting on some pillow shams and a pillow) I will never order from them again. I placed this order at the beginning of September and didn't get my furniture until mid January but only because I called them to find out what was going on. I understand there will be delays from time to time and I'm not an unreasonable person, but I do expect some sort of communication and I got none. Last week I finally got notice that a pillow had shipped and would be here today. Well true to fashion, I got another UPS notice today saying Arhaus changed the date until a full week from now. What? So why did they request a shipping label from UPS and not bother to send the merchandise? I own a house, a cabin and a rental and I've purchased lots of household items and furniture from many different companies and I've never experienced anything like this. This company seems horribly mismanaged. I was asked to fill out a "How did we do?" questionnaire and I listed all the issues I had had....too many to put in one review. I fully expected someone to reach out to me about my experience but I got nothing. I do like the furniture I got but will never buy another thing from them for the way I was treated. Don't say I didn't warn you! Yikes! read more

I could write a very long review about this company but to save time I will keep in short. The furniture is grossly overpriced and it is a guarantee that half of your items will arrive damaged AFTER waiting 3+ months for delivery. I spent $40k on furniture and am completely unhappy with this company. 1. The sales rep will completely ignore you afer the sale. Little to no follow up. 2. Color selection- good luck with this. You buy pillows, custom tables, etc and you have no idea what color will arrive and they wont do anything about it. I sent back over 10 items because of this. 3. Delivery- this is where you'll literally want to sue this company. They have the WORST delivery I have experienced. 3+ months for arrival is where your problems start. Once the products start to arrive, you'll receive damaged products over and over again. Good luck scheduling a time and date for your delivery, You have ZERO control over when the delivery arrives. They will NOT budge and they will NOT work with you whatsoever. Because of their lack of customer service I am returning as much as I can. if I am going to spend this kind of money I require acceptable service and execution. Arhaus has none of this. I would not recommend this company to an enemy. read more

I purchased the Garner sectional from Arhaus- looked lovely in the store- I never thought to check the construction of the back of the sofa sectional- the fabric is simply stretched between the frames rather than supported by a solid back- so that means that the SLIGHTEST pressure against the back, you lean over the sofa to grab a pillow, etc- and the fabric stretches and you have permanent indentations- so a 6 month old 5k sofa now looks like a discount store purchase- SOOO disappointed and disgusted. literally just in Costco and they have a lovely grey sectional for $800 with solid wood back support for the fabric- so frustrated that I wasted 5k at Arhause and even more disappointed this is what they call quality and luxury! read more

Our Brentwood sectionals were actually delivered in 4 weeks versus the 10 to 12 which was quoted. I must say the delivery was very organized and efficient. The delivery guys were very cooperative as they moved our old couch and love seat down to the basement for a small tip. The sectionals looked great in our family room , except for one minor issue . The width of the seats seams smaller than what I remember seeing in the show room. The seating cushion width is 27 inch but with the back cushion very dense because it is new it makes the seating area about 22 inches which is smaller than our old couch.
