Beautifully organized and really great quality merchandise at super prices! I was amazed at what they had and selected several accent pillows for our balcony outdoor furniture and saw some really excellent quality furniture at great prices. The reason I chose Joybird over Wayfair is the presence of a showroom in DC. I saw the white of this fabric, over a different sofa ... very beautiful and comfortable but didn't want the pressure of maintaining white so I settled for green( which is the color of my existing sofa) I also wanted the barrel sofa .. which is displayed in black fabric at the warehouse .. honestly I couldn't choose between the Bryant and the barrel as both looked really nice. Taynsha my sales rep made sure I went home with a fabric package to help me decide .. it was very helpful. I bought this during president's day sales I'm so happy with my choice. Not only does it look nice, it's also so comfy. I find myself falling asleep for hours on my sofa. Something really foreign to me but thankfully is the main essence of this purchase. read more

Shoutout to all the ladies who assisted me in purchasing the Briarwood sofa bed at JoyBird! They were super helpful down to pulling it out so I could see the back, pulling out the bed, and letting me spend time trying out the mattress. And very patient as I picked fabric as well as the ultimate decider...could I stretch out for nap times? They made shopping a pleasure. The cost was more than comparative. The delivery was flawless too. I love this couch and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Even more important was the sales people who were efficient, patient and made shopping easy and fun. read more

Taynsha Carr was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our buying experience! I'd highly recommend checking out this location if you're in the area and looking for a couch! She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions in a timely manner. Thanks again, Tay! read more

We went in to see if the staff could help us with the return of an online order, and to purchase a new sofa. We were helped by a couple of different staff members, including Brittany, who was absolutely fabulous. She was very helpful in tracking down the perfect sofa/fabric combination, and the ordering process was easy and smooth. It was a delight to work with them all. Had an easy visit and fun transaction at Joybird this afternoon. A friend told us about them. My husband and I have been looking for a new sofa for a while. We walked in, were greated warmly by Brittany, had a question answered, and then we worked our way around the store. When we found one we liked, Brittany came back over to help out. She talked us through the different fabric families and kindly gave us enough space to figure it out between the two of us. Once we had chosen the fabric, she worked up the transaction in their ordering app and that was it. Convenient, pleasant, great service, a decent price, good quality, and a super comfy sofa that will be on its way to us in 6 weeks. I'm sold. I would definitely be back if we need another similar piece of furniture. read more

My wife and I purchased furniture from Joybird on two separate occasions. Both times they upsold a 5-year protection plan that would cover pet damage, which is offered by ServeCo. They ensured us that the plans cover all pet damage. The furniture and protection plans were extremely expensive. Recently, our pets damaged the furniture. This is when we found out the protection plans they sell are crap (we filed a request on 1/9/2026). The plan is piece of mind, nothing more--god forbid you need to use it. ServeCo denied our claims, and we reached out to Joybird for help as they ensured us when we purchased the plan that things like this would be covered. They've also refused to do anything. The best we've been offered is a cancelation of the protection plan and a prorated refund, which we refused because it's a joke--we'd be getting peanuts to throw away any right we have to pursue this through other avenues. Joybird keeps saying what they CAN'T do, but what I really think they mean is WON'T. They misadvertised this plan and sold us it--they CAN do more than pretend to care. At this point we're not expecting Joybird nor ServeCo to do anything, which is basically what they've done so far. We can only hope this post helps prevent someone else from going through what we did. We advise that you don't buy Joybird. If you do, do not purchase the protection plan--you'll just be throwing your money away. If you want other perspectives on that, just look up ServeCo's reviews. I can't believe a place that charges so much wouldn't stick by their furniture and would do business with a company like ServeCo. read more

Our experience with Joybird was great! We visited the showroom twice to try out different sofas. Makayla was super helpful walking us through the options, including comparing those we tried with the ones not on display. She helped us pick the right sofa which we love, and order and delivery were easy. read more

Joybird Furniture looks lovely but be careful. Regardless of reason, a cancellation will cost you 35%!!!!! For me that was nearly $1,000.Couch wasn't even built yet. Course I questioned building every order 1 by 1. Time from order to ESTIMATED DELIVERY is 8-10 weeks. Furniture is supposedly built in Tia Juana. Then driven to the East Coast. I'm checking with Better Business Bureau to see if this outlandish fee is legal given that I wasn't informed about 8 -10 week window till after the order was placed. Buyer do please Beware read more

Just made my first Joybird purchase at their DC location with Brittany. She was so helpful and allowed me to test out the two different sleeper options and answered all my questions regarding the couch. Can't wait to get it delivered! Wilder sleeper sectional in Mocha Mousse! read more

I checked all the usual places (Room & board, Crate & Barrel, etc.) and then someone tipped me off to Joybird. I went to their store on 14th Street and Makayla greeted me and made the shopping experience so smooth & easy. She was well informed on the nuances of fabrics, delivery, warranties and guided the decision without stress or concerns. But just as importantly, the selection of contemporary sofa's was among the best I saw in DMV but at a price that is affordable-- especially given the top notch quality. If you're looking for furniture - go to Joybird and definitely ask for Makayla!! read more

Candice Stewart at this Joybird location transformed my experience with Joybird! i mistakenly ordered online without seeing the couch and 6 weeks later when my couch arrived it wouldn't fit through the hallway of my condo and the online customer service options were rigid and inflexible; holding me accountable for 50% of the couch + shipping despite the couch not being able to fit. I was devastated. by the recommendation of a friend I called this location and immediately asked for Candice. my the grace of God Candice was able to get me a refund approved, invited me to the store for a fitting and found me the couch of my dreams that will fit through my hallway and still give me the comfort and elegance I desired!! I'm so grateful to have met her and urge you to go visit Candice in person before your next couch purchase. read more

Beware "Restock" Fees & Poor Service READ THE FINE PRINT ON RETURNS. Or better yet DON'T SHOP AT JOYBIRD at all. This company is the perfect example of why people are hesitant to make furniture purchases online. Although they splash "90-day returns" all over their website to alleviate the nerves associated with making large purchases online, they hide the details of their astronomical ***50% RESTOCKING FEE.*** We purchased a sofa from Joybird and were enormously disappointed to find out that we would need to pay Joybird ***$1,200 PLUS SHIPPING TO RETURN IT.*** While the 50% "restocking" fee is on their site, a customer has to dig at least 2-3 pages deep to find this information that should be prevalent throughout the buying journey. Compare this to competitors like: 1. Article, which offers a generous free returns policy (minus cost of shipping) OR 2. West Elm, which makes blatantly clear they do NOT accept returns on Made to Order products at all on both the product page and the point-of-purchase It's clear Joybird falls short of industry standards for transparency and reasonable return/exchange policies. Further, in my call with the rude customer service representative, they went on to tell me that Joybird does not resell returned items but instead donates these items to shelters. While that's lovely, WHY AM I PAYING A "RESTOCKING" FEE FOR AN ITEM THAT WILL NOT EVEN BE RESTOCKED? I'm basically being asked to pay the price for Joybird's "social responsibility" initiative, which means they are likely touting their "good deeds" while exploiting their customers with unnecessary fees. When I asked what the restocking fee consisted of, I was told this information is not available to Customer Service. Of course it's not, because it's bogus. Next I offered to do an exchange, but they told me they don't except exchanges at all, even though this information is also not prevalent on their website, including their Returns page. Again, the customer has to dig deep to find this. Unacceptable. If you're going to have bad policies, at least be transparent about them. I'm disappointed in Joybird for burying the fine print on returns/exchanges on their website while exploiting "90-day returns" like it's some wonderful customer benefit while charging an astronomical "restocking" fee that is clearly just a money grab, and offering absolutely no compromise when I called to discuss reasonable alternatives such as an exchange. I will ***NEVER SHOP AT JOYBIRD AGAIN*** and will make sure everyone I know hears about how horrible my experience was. P.S. Joybird, don't bother responding to this review with a canned response just so that you can try to manage your brand's "reputation." If you want to reach out to me, I advise you to do it directly and to offer a reasonable return or exchange to make things right. read more

We bought our sofa at the DC location. We had looked at their furniture online many times, but did not want to buy a sofa until we were sure it would be comfortable. We worked with Makayla and she was amazing. We spent about 2 hours looking at their styles and fabric selection. We probably sat on every sofa in the showroom. They have so many amazing fabrics to choose from. We ended up buying the Hughes Loveseat in Heather Rose. It was a very pleasant experience. Makayla was very patient, as we changed our minds many times. I would definitely work with them again. Oh... I forgot to mention that we bought the Sofa during their Memorial Day sale. We definitely think the price was unbeatable read more

Sorry to read the poor reviews here, however I had a perfect experience with Joybird and the DC showroom. I was reluctant to buy a sofa without being able to sit on it and luckily the DC showroom was close by. After trying the sofa for a good feel, I purchased the Hughes Reversible Sectional. Took about 6 weeks to be made and delivered. The delivery was exceptional. Guys were professional and the couch was fully wrapped in plastic protecting it from any dirt or marks. The couch has a great firm feel and is a perfect match for my mid century home. Not one thing to complain about with this experience. read more

Received my couch and the color is beautiful but the delivery guys that put it together, didn't do it properly and the pieces keep separating. I'm disabled and cannot fix it. I reached out to customer service and waiting to hear back but so far disappointed, sectionals shouldn't come apart every time you move, and also the cushion on the ottoman is not attached and moves every time you touch it. read more

Should have listened to the bad reviews. Needed a new couch and was attracted to the cool vibes/colors from Instagram advertising. Went in to the DC store and sat on the couches until I found the perfect one. Ordered it. Shipment took two months- no big deal. The sectional cushion was delivered with a stain. Called customer service, sent several emails 6/21. They wanted to send someone out to clean it. I did not stain the couch- it was delivered that way and they wanted to clean it instead of replacing it. By 6/29 I couldn't get a single person to call me back so I called the joybird DC store. Cynthia was helpful in getting someone to fix the problem that day. New cushion was ordered. Took two months to deliver the new cushion yesterday. And you guessed it- stained again. Worst than the first one. The delivery men don't wear gloves and they handle the cushions directly. I should have learned the first time and just not accepted the delivery but they refused to take it back. I've called the store, the main number and sent an email again. Seems as if they only care about the sale- and if you have any type of issue there is no way of getting a hold of customer service. 5 stars for cool colors and vibes, 0 stars for customer service. Stand behind your product and do better. (If you look at the reviews of the Lewis sectional online- they are all 5 stars. What I didn't notice is that they are all from 2020 and older. And they don't publish bad reviews- mine is still "pending" which is just fraudulent practice.) read more

I went into Joybird DC last weekend with my family and had a great experience. The showroom was well laid out with great color combinations and sofas in a great range available. Brittany was our consultant and she was very helpful without pushing us into any decisions or choices. We selected a really cute small sleeper sofa that we're very excited about for my office room and we feel like we got a great value. I'd recommend Joybird to anyone that wants a good shopping experience with some excellent options. Well done Joybird and thanks Brittany! read more

From the shopping experience, to keeping me in the loop about the process of my order, to the white glove delivery, I can't say enough. Even on delivery day, within the window, they sent me a text with a specific eta so I knew exactly when it was arriving. I purchased my Wilder Sleeper Sectional in-store at the Logan Circle location in Washington, DC. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted and received a ton of help from their staff! Truly the worst. Joybird claims my wife accidentally ordered a 2nd ottoman and delivered two when we wanted one. They claim to accept returns but their 50% restocking fee plus shipping only amount to 15% of the purchase price, so a $681 ottoman can be returned for a refund of $103, but the showroom said not to bring it there plus the delivery team wouldn't take it back either, so unclear how to even receive a 15% refund. The furniture is overpriced and uncomfortable. Would never buy from them again. read more

We wandered in here on a rainy day looking for small sofa bed inspiration and were delighted to encounter the lovely Ruthchama Jean-Baptiste who patiently directed us to designs suitable for our space, before we settled on the Briar Sleeper Sofa in the Banks Oatmeal fabric. The ordering process was seamless and afterwards Ruthchama continued to provide insightful counsel regarding pillows and other accoutrements. The men handling the delivery were careful, professional and quick. Now we just have to decorate the rest of the room, and a matching ottoman from Joybird is the logical next step! read more

My partner and I were visiting DC from LA just before the Joybird showroom opened there. We dropped by the store to sit on some of the couches since we needed a new one. Dela was a fantastic representative of Joybird. She gave us pointers on size, fabric advice and generally treated us like a customer from DC even though we weren't planning on buying from the showroom. She helped us order a swatch kit to our home in California and gave us insights on upcoming sales as well. She encouraged us to visit the new showroom that was opening in LA the next week to place our order. When we got home, she followed up to make sure the swatches arrived and see if we had any questions. We never felt pressured to order, and when we did we decided to call Dela even though we could have walked to the new store in LA. She was extremely thorough and made sure everything was to our liking. I write this review from our new sectional just delighted with our experience with the DC showroom. We had a very slight issue with the delivery guys not knowing we had paid for white glove delivery, but they were very accommodating and gave it to us without even asking us to confirm with a receipt. Thank you, Dela! We definitely hope to patronize you again, even if from afar! read more
