He estimated repairs would take about two hours, but it was done in one. He even reinforced the leg to make sure it wouldn't collapse like it had before. (It had very ambitiously been stapled into place and it's a miracle it lasted as long as it did.) He was even able to put a new dust cover into place since the previous one had gotten shredded by the leg and then my cat. There was no mess left when he was done, and he walked me through every step as he was working. 10/10, definitely recommend. I also booked an heirloom coffee table to be picked up and refinished. I cannot wait to see it come back to life like my armchair did.

There were 2 holes about the size of a pinky and the cavity is about the size that could fit my thumb up to its nailbed. I reached out to a few folks and got quotes. Given my prior positive experience, I reached out to Mauricio to see if this could be done. I also noticed 2 holes that I'm not sure if it was there when I first got the furniture or if something else bore out. These were about the size of a dull pencil tip but on the underside of the furniture. Mauricio was extremely patient with me upon getting the details as I was considering getting a second opinion from some local exterminators on the risk of another emergence. Eventually, I figured out some details and booked an appointment. Everything was quickly scheduled with Edgar who arrived on time promptly and quickly went to work fixing the 4 holes. By the time it was finished, I could only vaguely guess where the holes were. To someone who didn't know about the holes, it would look almost natural. All in all, this took roughly an hour or so to complete. Edgar was sure to clean up after himself and laid out some paper padding to capture any mess left behind and prevent it from touching the floor. Both pieces had nostalgic value as they were passed down from family members. One of the chairs had a leg broken off. Don came to our home inspected both chairs, explained the problem and the solution on initial review. We agreed to the estimate to repair and to our amazement both chairs were returned to us in 48 hours. The chair that had a broken leg you cannot tell was ever broken and looks great. In order to fix it a brass rod was installed inside that is totally invisible. The other chair was also repaired that had become structurally unsound during our move. Don is very personable and extremely knowledgeable of wood composition. He is a wood carving hobbyist and he can be found attending various art exhibitions in and around Livermore. He also is an accomplished musician playing rock & blues on keyboards in a band. You may also run upon him playing music at winery tasting rooms from time to time.
