This location is fun for all ages; it has an arcade, rollerblading area and a climbing area. I have been here for trips and birthday parties. I recently went to a birthday party in January on one of the coldest days of the year. I honestly didn't get to enjoy it because the party room was unbearably freezing. They had the unit that blew out a b out of warm air but not enough to make the room warm. All of the guests had to be wear their jackets the whole time. We told the workers several times that it was freezing but nothing was ever fixed. I would warn parents to be mindful that if you are throwing a party in the winter, you might have a very cold room. I will return in the summer to see how the AC is and if it is comfortable. read more

My sister invited me to join her to Area 53 since she won two free all access passes to this facility off a contest on social media. The area has a lot in its space which is hard to tell from just the street. The all access pass covers all the harness activities. The light pass excludes the harness activities. The arcade and roller blading is additional cost. The facility has lockers for free as long as you bring your own lock. If you don't have a lock, you can purchase one from the vending machine. At this time of this review it was priced at $8 a lock. The adventure course above was very interesting. After being harnessed in by staff you walk up the stairs to the course. There are several directions you can take which has challenging ways to walk to and from each platform. The highlight of this course is the zip line part. They have a safety light to indicate to the users when to wait and when to go. There are also three sections for rock climbing. In the other side there is a slide section with 7 areas to slide down. The staff member provides the slide sack and directs you how to use it before you head up. There is also a section upstairs that is for toddlers to play in. Also two additional swirl slides where you can access there. Overall we had fun. The price can be a little high for some, so best to try to see if they have any promotions. read more

I wish they were clear that a ticket is not needed for admission. I ended up purchasing 3 tickets to ensure that i didn't have an issue sitting down while the kids played. But come to find out, that wasn't the case. Cool... So, we went here for the lite tickets which included all the slides and the ball pits. The tickets were $29 for 3 hours and it was a good time. The kids enjoyed themselves for the most part. It's a huge spot. They also have a full park ticket which includes the skating, zip lines and rope climbing. The kids i came with were younger so the slides were perfect for them. It was nice. Lots and lots of arcade games. But just prepare yourself for the overpriced things from the snack bar. I'd probably try and come back for the adults only night. That might be fun. All in all, not bad at all. read more

Be prepared for a crowd (even during snow days) on the weekends. I came at 11am & an hour didn't past before it was crowded. Though there's plenty of space and activities to have fun. Been here twice, for fun two Indoor Paintball excursions. This review is purely for the paintball. It's a pretty barebones setup, but it's quite fun and it's accessible for anyone living in NYC, hence the 4 stars. It's not cheap, for what it is; you pay $51 for access to the actual facility / paintball area, and for an initial 200-ish paintballs (sounds like a lot, but is mostly enough for 30-45 minutes of actual game time). You can buy additional pellets for further $20-$35 depending on how many you need. So per person you go roughly $50-$100 for a couple hours of fun. The staff are friendly and helpful in setting everyone up with gear, the rules, and general safety. Nice people there, and nothing's too complex in terms of how the operation is run. You show up, sign in, get your gear, go over the rules, and play. The actual arena itself was twice as large in 2024, but even though they halved it as of 2025 (presumably to make room for some kiddie slides in a separate area), it's still reasonably well designed - you can run into the open, go upstairs, stay downstairs, move through a couple hallways etc. and change up your style of play during the game. The location itself is kinda in the middle of nowhere / feels a tad sketchy, but you can easily reach nice bars and restaurants within a 10-15 min walk from the area. It's guaranteed fun, especially if you're a bit more adventurous and willing to get hit a few times - either way, dress comfortable and wear something you don't mind getting "tie-dyed". It's not the fanciest setup I've ever seen, but it does the trick. Definitely recommend. read more

Fun place to spend a few hours if you haven't been already. Went for adults nughtlm a Thursday evening, so it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. There were no lines. Did the ropes course which was attached to the Zipline. Played some arcade games, some of which were out of service. Climbed some structures and ate some dippin dots. The journey to get there by train included a walk through the neighborhood which was an eye opening experience. This is an interesting place to check out if you are looking for some thrill. read more

This place is not far from my apartment. My daughters have been here with their summer camp so we figured let's try it one of my daughters just had a bday. The tickets are pricey, found a groupon . Bought the 3 tickets for the kids us adults weren't participating. It's in such a secluded area actually kind of scary and parking is hit or miss. So much congestion going in. We already had the tickets and signed waivers so we just went straight to the front. There's a security guard . I didn't bring a bag with an las or drinks because I assumed you couldn't bring anything inside like most play places. But nothing was checked we literally just walked in. They do have alot of activities out groupon included everything except roller skating , paint ball and one other thing I can't remember. My 8 year old wanted to try the zip lining, got online put harness and up she went . The one thing I don't like is they let a lot of people go up so if a few ppl are in one area it hard to pass by and she had to move the string connected to the wires the entire time and she's small she had a hard time so she got stuck in one area. And she was doing good until another child yelled at her to move out the way she got so nervous and started crying. that is not the place fault kinds will be kisses But I feel like if they limited the ppl on the zip lining there wouldn't of been so much traffic and they don't explain anything they just hooked them up on the harness and bye. We ended up spending most of the times were the slides were they had a lot of fun there. The ball pitt was fine too. Oh it didn't include the arcade. One concession stand. The bathrooms are up the ramp upstairs and looks very scary like don't let your child go to the bathroom alone. Very disappointed. The way it's advertised all over the internet is nothing like it is in real life. It was super dirty in there and for the price we paid (went on Christmas Eve so tickets were overpriced) was not worth it. There was like 4-5 different slides a couple rock climbing walls and an obstacle course with zip line. For the amount of space there wasn't a lot of things to do especially compared to all the other adventure parks we've been to and not to mention everything else was extra money. I came here because it looked really cool on tick tock but it was only the influencers angles. This place is very dirty, unhygienic,musty it's very crowded small and everything in the place looks used up and not clean. there isn't enough people working and they are probably not getting good pay or guidance by the person who is in charge of this establishment because it is embarssing that people have to go to these places for entertainment due to it's good price when the place is horrible i left after less then 20minutes and that's because i had to use the bathroom which i now need to see a gynecologist to make sure i didn't catch an infection from the bathroom there. Came for a party. This place is extremely fun for all ages. They have the kids area for 1 to 4 years old. And older. It's arcade games throughout the area which you have to purchase a card for an additional fee. The private party room package is a good size with 2 large tables for around 16 to 20 guests. You get to bring your own decorations and decorate the room according to your theme. I honestly didn't enjoy the food. The pizza was very blah not tasteful. I enjoyed it for the kids and pre teen. Who is so excited to bring my kids here has so much potential. Let's start off by talking about the location. Obviously it's in a warehouse area of Brooklyn so it's almost impossible to get to buy public transportation. Because it needs to space. So if you plan on taking the L train you have a crazy walk to get here. Finally getting here we walked in outside was over 90° walk inside here and even though there's a giant fans There's zero air conditioning or air ventilation in this whole place. It smells horrific. As a parent do not bring your kids here unless you plan on getting your kids sick with some type of germs. The ball pit is super disgusting probably the sickest thing I've ever seen ever as a parent. Dont do for little kids. Everything costs extra...wanna roller skate $7 a kid wanna ride the motor cycle $10 for 10m arcade all that is extra. $80 for my two kids to do just a few things and half are so gross i wont let them even near it. The owners should be ashamed how gross it is. Places like this are why disease rubs rampit in brooklyn. I will say though that the staff is pretty cool. No problems there. read more

The staff was great and kid friendly they were roaming around answering questions. They have 1 snack vendor but it looked sketchy I ordered popcorn and bottled drinks instead. With the right group this place is super fun. But regardless of a hype crowd or not it's a complete ripoff. The space is super tiny. The food cost more that an amusement park. The arcade games cost more that any arcade place and on top of that the "bonus" credit is useless and nontransferable. A few of the games were out of commission (no signs). The skating space is super small especially when it gets slightly packed or the kids rent the scooters that don't work and get abandoned in the rink. The plus is they allow outside food to be delivered (not that what we ordered was any better than what's served:/). Highlight for the kids was the zipline although does not work well for those who are scared of heights. There's also rock climbing and an inflatable stage for any ninja / wrestling activities. I went here to celebrate my friend's birthday. The place looks way smaller than they portray online. I only went to the adventure park section. In addition to paying $58 per person for entry, you would have to pay $8 for a lock to store your belongings if you don't have your own lock on hand. When I arrived, the lockers were all filled up, so my friends and I had to wait for a locker to be available before we can even play. The arcade is extra and skate rentals are around $6. I only had a slushy, and that was good even though the flavor I wanted was not available. The machine was messed up. For the $264 my friends and I spent combined, I think this experience is definitely over priced. read more

Overall, they have a decent operation going given the challenging of being in NYC and the insane high demand as the only paintball place in the city. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU COME HERE: a. Wear hiking boots (or else you will slip). b. Wear full sleeve and full pant camo (or buy their onesie) - or else you will be easy to see and shoot c. Buy extra ammo (either come with it before hand or expect that you will need to buy some) It is a bit steep for $49 per person on a weekend for paintball, but things they do do well. 1. Safety management - I appreciate how they make sure people are safe 2. Relatively new equipment and gear - I mean the gear looked in decent shape 3. Layout - it was unique enough and challenging enough at the same time Some things that I wish was better, but I kind of understand... 1. A/C - its indoors! A small warehouse turned indoor attraction tucked in Brooklyn. I felt like a big kid at a small amusement park. Admission is a little pricey, but I did have fun. After paying and checking in, you can utilize their lockers to store away your belongings (make sure to bring your own lock or pay $7 to rent one). Staff was really helpful and courteous. They made sure no one was cutting the lines. We went straight to the obstacle rope course in the back. You have to get strapped into a harness first and then wait on line to go up the stairs. The whole time you are attached to a sliding rope that attaches to the course. Not gonna lie, some of the "courses" were challenging. If you're afraid of heights you might reconsider. You won't fall down cause you're strapped in but it does get scary looking down. One complaint is how crowded it was. There should be some crowd control because it was crowded and congested. The zip line, albeit short, was really fun. Rock climbing was tough. I tried the medium level and was struggling. There's no instructions on how to get down though, you just have to kick off the wall and slowly come down. We then played the battle beam. Which was fun as an adult. A lot of the arcade games were out of operation or broken. But there was a good selection of games. The slides are too windy and small for adults. Last but not least was the indoor roller skating rink. Boy it was tough! People were falling on their butts left and right. Kinda remind me of the stranger things episode. It's was $5 for rentals. I probably won't come again, but if it's your first time, come with a group and have fun being a big kid again. read more

This Review is strictly about Adventure Park. The concept of this spot in Brooklyn is really cool. It's located in an industrial park so though may look sketchy, it's not. What they have: --Zip lining --Small Roller skating rink (with rentals) -- Several Rock Climbing obstacles --Rope Course --Slide --"Gladiator" Battle Beam --Ninja Course --Lazer Maze --Arcade Food They serve food as well, but more like snacks and they have lockers as well (you can bring your own lock or purchase one, which I wish I knew initially). My Experience/Why My Rating (Went on a Saturday Night) I don't think I felt unsafe, but I can see why someone could go unchecked because so much is going on that someone could be missed. I made sure I was checked before moving on, but little kids are running all over the place here, and it's hard to keep track sometimes. The rock climbing and rope course I felt okay at in terms of people traffic on a weekend(they were my favs actually!). The Ninja Course, Lazer Maze, and Battle Beam? Ugh... There is no regulation in that area and little kids are literally running at you and hitting you with things, not caring who you are. I went here on a date and though we both had our own fun, but the lack of structure when it came to these activity stations it made them not fun to do. I totally understand that it is up to parents to watch over their kids so can't fault the business there, but having no employees in certain areas can make it so dangerous and really not fun for everyone else trying to actually do the activity. Again, still had fun and took it all in stride, but with the expensive of weekend pricing, having to buy a lock on site, and little kids running all over with no employees watching at certain stations, it gets a bit chaotic. Oi vey. I've thrown about 20 children's birthday parties in my lifetime, including at the other Area 53 location on Bridge St. This Area 53 (on Scholes St.) is by far the worst venue we've encountered. Support staff are remarkably disorganized and indifferent. We arrived early only to wait about 20 minutes to be helped by our so-called party hostess (so-called because she was not present for 99% of the time). Front-of-the-house, who were justifiably busy with other customers, did not try to help us track her down beyond sending an initial message. OK, understandable -- and no biggie by itself. But then there was another half an hour wait after our party time was supposed to have started because the hostess / venue could not locate more than half of the waivers that parents of minor guests had sent in previously. We had triple verified with these parents previously that they had filled out waivers and they verified again on the day of. Half an hour into our allotted party time, we were still trying to herd 15 antsy children in the crowded lobby while re-filling out 100% non-legally binding waivers for minor guests. The venue nickels and dimes in incredibly ridiculous ways. I'm all for conservation, but we had 15 guests and were given exactly 15 plates and 15 cups and 15 napkins, which were expected to be used for both savory food and ice cream cake and drinks, and in between paintball rounds (which made it hard to identify your previously used cups). When we asked for more serving ware, we couldn't track down our hostess in person or by phone. We left a request with another staff member and did not receive any help for another 45 minutes. Guests were reduced to using torn-up empty pizza boxes as plates. "Party rooms" feel like Siberian prisons. The subterranean spaces are freezing, held at around 60 degrees; filthy with sticky walls and detritus on the floor; tiny; and ugly, the sticky, pockmarked prison-cell walls adorned with little more than some epilepsy inducing strobe lights. (We had brought some decorations, but of course were unable to set them up beforehand as we were not allowed into the party room until 40 minutes after our party time had begun.) While this is not uncommon at party venues, be aware that if you want to feed your guests, you will be forced to order refreshments from a junky, low-quality, and overpriced menu of hyper processed foods. There are no juice, fruit or veggie options -- only yellow / red dye saturated Minute Maid "lemonade" and sugar soda; cold mystery meat nuggets and fries; bad pizza with white rubber in place of cheese. They do not make reasonable accommodations for dietary needs based on religion or disability -- e.g. if you need kosher/halal food, if you have celiac disease, etc... We were told we could not bring in two gluten free cupcakes for guests without incurring an enormous surcharge, which was something like 75% of the party package cost. Be aware that unless you rent out the entire space, your pre-teens and children even younger than that will be pitted against 20+ year old adults who sometimes come in full body armor. Face masks and other equipment do not appear to be sanitized between use. Our passive aggressive party hostess "forgot" to give us an arcade card that was supposed to come with the party package. We had to chase her down to ask for it as we were leaving. I could go on, but in the interests of not reliving this trauma for any longer than I have to, suffice it to say that I can't remember the last time I wrote a one star review. We came here for my youngest sons 20th birthday. It's not a large place and not very crowded but we came on a Monday. I'm not sure how crowded it gets during the weekend. There were mostly teens and younger kids here. 90.00 seems a bit steep for 2 people with full access to everything for 3 hours. In addition, you have to put money on a card to play the arcade games which seems like a rip off considering you paid 45.00 to get in here‍ and everything else is included other than the food. And spectators have to pay 15.00 just to sit and watch if they don't want to participate in anything The food prices are ridiculous and the parking is horrendous. There's literally NO where to park and you have to park blocks away & the neighbor looks sketchy even during the day. I would never come here at night. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

This play space is the perfect spot to spend on a rainy day. We really had fun here. It's a bit pricey for what you get since it's about $60 for 3 hours on the weekend, and you don't have any option to get only one or 2 hours. There's a ropes course with a zip line, a bunch of rock walls, an area with some ropes and ninja like obstacles, jousting. They also had paid roller skating, arcade games, and laser maze. It's a bummer that the laser maze was an extra fee, but you can go in the room and it didn't seem all that. The staff working here were very friendly and helpful. I would have liked to see a prorated cost option since you may be done with it after an hour. It doesn't take that long to do the ropes course, and the rock walls are very hard to do since they don't provide rock climbing shoes. read more

Indoor adventure park with paint ball, games (skee ball, air hockey, etc). They also had binge jumping--which I'm a little scared of, but some of family members indulged in. I came for my cousin's birthday party- I live pretty far away and had a long drive, so I missed out on the majority of the activities. However, all the kids seemed to be having a grand old time. I'd say the place is ample, in terms of celebrating a birthday here, but it seems the costs are a bit expensive and the place is very out of the way. Maybe not for everyone, but definitely for me. I'd say one of the only benefits of the are all, is that the block appeared to be a dead end--so you could get a parking spot on the same block and you won't have to walk too far. read more

This review is for the adventure park. Great concept, very poor execution. Not worth the $42 per person (weekday pricing), at all so save your money and go somewhere else. Especially considering how out of the way this is for most people. Tip -- if you do go, be sure to bring your own lock to avoid paying ~9 for a lock to use the lockers I'll list out what I noticed and impacted my experience one by one: COVID precautions -- they did not check for vaccination ID at the front nor did they enforce masks. I didn't see them cleaning the equipments (harnesses) or wiping down the rock climbing area or even the dining area. Actually, the only workers I saw were the ones manning the diff stations. There were hand sanitizers spread around but many were empty. Customer service: The employees were friendly but very clearly could not care less about how the business was run. They were not flexible (ie I had my harness on and went to the roller skate area to get a game card and was planning on taking it off after. I waited in line and got to the front only to be told I cannot get served until took off my harness. Same for getting a lock from the front desk) Games on second floor: many of the games were not functioning properly like the air hockey games were missing pucks and one of the basketball shooting games looked just like the others that functioned perfectly but was not releasing the balls! However they all were taking our credits just fine Safety: honestly did not feel very safe with the harnesses. I've been to quite a few zip lining and rock climbing parks and this one was the most flimsy and has no safety instructions. Additionally, for some of the rock climbing sections, you had to hook YOURSELF on!!! My friend had to help some people who figure out how to hook on but not how to hook off. What a mess. I came here for a friend's birthday party, and she had booked the private paintball session--but it was nothing like what was advertised. First, the location is sketchy. It's about a 10-minute walk from the L train, over an unlit metal pedestrian bridge, past abandoned freight trains. But that's not even why I'm giving this place one star. The private party session was supposed to be three hours, starting at 8:00 PM. However, we weren't even let into the party room until 9:00 PM. Our group was patient and understanding, but the disorganization was beyond frustrating. The package we booked promised three games of play. Since they started us late, they also seemed to have overbooked the time slot, so instead of rotating with three groups, we were stuck with four. After our second game, they suddenly brought out the birthday cake--an **ice cream cake, no less--**and told us we had three minutes before our last round started. Obviously, that's not enough time to serve and eat an ice cream cake before it melts. The staff had previously assured us they would extend our time because of the delay, but when we asked, they kept passing the blame, eventually admitting they gave us "false information." Then, instead of making it right, they started the last game before half of our group even made it onto the field--while also trying to upsell extra paintball ammunition in the process. On top of the complete lack of organization and rude, dismissive staff, the prices here are ridiculous.
