I also want to thank Martha who got me a very quick appointment and they were able to replace my door in a couple of days.

Universal Iron Doors has been a dream to work with from beginning to installation. Starting off in…read morethe showroom they have so many options, something for everyone and every situation. There are LOTS of doors on display so Enrique Marquez, sales rep, explained the various options and details to us. After that he let us wander around and peruse on our own, no pressure, just let us know where he would be when we needed him. Once we narrowed our choices down he walked us through the inventory and the available options and timelines for in stock and custom orders. Enrique told us how to measure our doorways, so we did that when we got home and emailed him the info. He had CAD drawings prepared from the info and sent them to us for approval. The invoices and payments were also handled online. Enrique walked us through the entire process. Anytime I had a question or issue he was right there to help out. Even during installation. We ended up ordering an in stock and custom door (due to odd size). For the in stock door, I received a call to schedule installation immediately! The lady that called said she likes to schedule them as soon as she receives the order and she wasn't lying. We scheduled installation for 5 weeks out, which is reasonable. Then 1 week later, on a Friday, she called back and asked if they could install on Monday. I said Yes! The installation team, Vahe and Ahot, showed up on Monday as scheduled and did an absolutely FANTASTIC job!! The door looks soooooo good!! They communicated well, also noticed that the lock was missing on the order and helped me get that corrected with Enrique. They were very respectful of keeping the area clean, making sure everything was clean and all trash/debris removed when they left. Everyone at Universal Iron Doors has been awesome to work with and I look forward to receiving my custom door.

This was a stellar experience from beginning to end!…read more We spoke with Amanda Rodriguez over two different visits and she could not have been friendlier or more knowledgeable. We had tons of questions and decisions about what best matched the original look of the windows from our 1939 house. We finally decided on what windows we wanted replaced and put down a deposit. A second team member came out weeks later to confirm the measurements. And some weeks after that, the installation team of Juan and Erik came out to do the install. (They even started by doing the measurements a third time to make sure everything was correct! And it was.) They had told us that the job might take the whole day, but they carefully removed the old ones, installed the new ones and cleaned up afterward in only about six hours. It was a flawless experience. Everyone we dealt with was extremely kind, warm and knowledgable. And the new windows look stunning - while still matching the look of the almost 90-year old home. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

When we bought our house, it was a faded avocado green, had an old metal fence on one side of the house, and then left the other side completely exposed so that all of the trash cans were easily visible and people had a direct route to accessing our backyard. Now, we have absolutely gorgeous wooden gates on both sides of the house that can lock. When we painted the house, the fact that we still had the old metal gate and the exposed side felt like it didn't match the updated style we are going for. But now, our house is the nicest one in the entire neighborhood. People keep asking us if we're moving because of how instantly updated it feels, and the first comment they make is about the fences. The folks at SFV Wood Builds are artisans. They aren't just carrying out the work to get a job done. They actually care. To contrast, the folks who painted the house were pretty careless and got paint everywhere. After that experience, we were nervous what it would be like working with another vendor, especially during COVID. But SFV Wood Builds restored my faith in people. They actually explained the type of joinery they were using, the reason behind their choice of wood and stain, constantly had us check the quality of the work to make sure we were happy, recommended how we could fix another fence we have further in the backyard (but honestly we just want to have them do it because they are masters at this), AND have us suggestions one how to make a wooden accent trellis on the front of the house and showed us work they've done in the past like that (again, we just want them to do it because there's no way we can ever make it look as nice as they would). Working with SFV Wood Builds was honestly the most pleasant, informative, and frankly enjoyable interaction I've ever had with this type of vendor. 100% recommend for anyone who wants to do any kind of wood project for their house- fences, gates, accents- anything.

After viewing the photos of his work online, I was impressed with his workmanship and thought I had finally found the right guy to do the work. We first made contact in mid-February 2021 and made arrangements for him to come to my house for an evaluation/estimate a few days later. Our interaction was great and I even recommended him to my parents who were looking to replace a few gates at their house. My daughter and my parents were all impressed with Victor and I felt great about him doing these jobs for us. Five days after he stopped by my house, I checked in with him to see how the estimate was coming along. He indicated he would be sending the estimate in two days. One week later, still no word from Victor. I checked in again via text and he sent the estimate for the fence, but not the gates, later that night. I was pleased with the price of the estimate and that we were making progress. Victor said he would crunch the numbers on the estimate for the six gates and get back to me. Two weeks went by and no word from Victor. I checked in with a friendly text....no response. One week later, another friendly check in....no response. Another week later, I checked in again....no response. One month later, I checked in again....no response. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. This is no way to do business and I strongly recommend finding someone else do your wood work.
