Once I walked in, I was greeted by Alex. Alex has such a great attitude and helped me decide what purchases I needed for a few doors that I plan on replacing throughout the house. I will definitely be returning to purchase soon! read more

Big thanks to Alex, who was friendly throughout the process We'll definitely be back!"

Alex from Urban Doors in Northridge was very helpful and knowledgeable and made our shopping experience a pleasure.

I have a beautiful set of wooden doors we purchased many years ago. One of our boys broke a glass panel that is inset into the door. Definitely not a warranty issue, however, the warranty department spent untold hours locating the correct panel and more hours finding a qualified installer to seamlessly replace the glass. The cost was incredibly reasonable and the workmanship was outstanding. 5 stars all the way, and so happy with the company. read more

I would not recommend Urban Doors based on my experience. From the very beginning, the process felt unprofessional. When I went in to order my door, the salesperson was asking me which way the door should swing and which side the glass insert should be on. I expected a door company to help guide me through those decisions, but instead I felt like I was expected to know everything myself. After placing the order, I realized the glass insert was going to be on the wrong side. I immediately called, and I was told it had been corrected. Unfortunately, when the door arrived, it was completely wrong. Not only was the glass insert still on the wrong side, but it was the wrong style of window altogether. My contractor picked up the door and removed my old door before I had a chance to inspect the new one, so by the time I saw the mistake, it had already been installed. When I contacted Urban Doors, they simply told me I was out of luck because it had been installed. Even after going through the warranty process, they continued to blame me for not checking it first. What I don't understand is how a company can take an order, make multiple mistakes, and have no quality control to catch them before delivery. Why wasn't I sent a proof or even a photo of the completed door before it left the shop? A simple verification could have prevented this entire situation. The lack of customer service was the most disappointing part. There was no ownership of the mistakes, no effort to find a solution, and no empathy. My mom helped me pay for this door, and I simply don't have the money to replace it. Every day I use my front door, I'm reminded that it's wrong. Because the glass insert is on the wrong side, I have to awkwardly squeeze through the opening, and it honestly makes me feel upset every time I come home. Mistakes happen, but how a company responds says everything. Unfortunately, Urban Doors was uncaring, unhelpful, and unwilling to stand behind their work. I cannot recommend them. read more

After more than three months of trying to get Urban Doors to simply complete my order, I think other customers should know about my experience. Since June, I have been waiting for a missing piece from my door. I've repeatedly contacted Urban Doors, been given multiple dates that came and went, and sent numerous emails that were simply ignored literally just trying to confirm pickup of the missing piece. The missing piece wasn't our only concern. We paid extra for staining and were disappointed with both the staining and the overall attention to detail and finishing of the door. (There are parts of the door they completely missed staining, some of the metal work is crooked...)We chose to let those issues go--we simply wanted the missing piece so we could be done. Mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is months of incorrect information, missed promises, unanswered emails, and having to continually chase a company to complete an order that was already paid for. It is now September, and I have been dealing with this since June. I would never purchase from Urban Doors again and I caution anyone considering them to check this company's BBB rating and other reviews; I wish I had. read more

Nice variety of doors with great quality but orders take 4-8 weeks. Yes expensive at the same time. read more

I ordered two doors that were not in stock. They told me it would take 4 weeks. I gave a deposit of 50%. 3 weeks later they told me they can't get the doors. They said I would get a refund in 10 days. It has been a month and I still have not received my refund. Evey time I go in to ask for my deposit they tell me the accounting department has gone home. I can't believe only the accounting department knows how to do a credit card refund. Be careful buying from them. read more

Alex was really knowledgeable, nice and helpful. He provided us excellent customer service and it was a pleasure to work with him.

Alex was the only reason why I bought my doors here. Great doors but the customer service was beyond. Happy that I went here and got Alex as my assigned Rep! read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had from a supplier from start to finish. When putting in the initial order I had to call 6 times because no one returns the call. When I went to pick up the order and asked if it would be wrapped in case of rain, or just to protect it in general. They told me it would be, it was not, when I spoke to the gentleman loading it he said "they promise a lot of things and don't do it. I just stopped now to check in the door, and even the glue on the glass is sloppy. This experience earned a 1 star all the way through, customer service, product, and any sense of pride in business. read more

Urban Doors is 100% the only way to go for doors. I'm doing a full remodel and purchased all of my interior and exterior doors from Urban Doors. I did have an issue with one of the 10 doors I bought and worked with Helen to file a warranty claim. The claim process was straightforward and simple. I followed the process outlined on the instructions and within a few business days had a replacement order placed. Helen was super cool and easy to work with. I love Urban Doors and my sales rep Jenny was amazing from start to finish. Rebecca in the office is also great to work with. My doors are absolutely gorgeous and by far the most impactful yet understated aspect of my remodel. Their pricing, quality, service and warranty can't be beat - highly recommend! read more

Had the absolute worst experience. Ordered a custom size door. The door was delivered damaged and unfinished on one side. After several attempts to rectify the issue I finally gave up. No one in customer returns calls, I was told I wouldn't get anywhere with contacting the owner. In addition I have a message from an employee that they would replace the door. They still are not honoring their work. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Biggest mistake I've ever made. Absolutely zero in customer service. read more

Value and quality is good doors are unique. They are open on Saturday's they have a huge show room in northridge.

I've had so many compliments about the doors we bought for a home rehab project. The only thing people may not realize is that the labor to install these doors cost more than the doors themselves. The doors are not prehung.if you order prehung, it's a three week wait read more

As an architect, I have extremely high standards for the products I specify, and Urban Door completely failed to meet them. The door they presented as an exterior door started developing severe cracks just a few months after installation. Not only did it crack, but it also shifted, making it nearly impossible to open and close. And to make matters worse, when I reached out, they refused to honor the warranty, claiming it was due to "extreme weather." This is absolutely false--California weather is mild, and there is nothing extreme about it. Clearly, this door is unsuitable for outdoor use, and they do not stand behind their product. I will never recommend Urban Door again, and my firm will be canceling any future orders. read more

These guys are great if you don't care when your order arrives (weeks or months late) and you don't need any communication from them, and you are okay with taking care of any problems in the order yourself. Awful experience!! Deadlines were incorrect multiple times, zero communication through the process, Constant run around when I tried to reach out for answers. Day after day I would call and they would tell me my sales associate was busy and would call me back, I never once received a call back. I would give this place zero stars if I could. read more

We visited Urban Doors in Orange County and selected a number of entryway doors we were interested in possibly purchasing. Shortly after we found a closer location in Los Angeles. I called and spoke with Erica. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Erica also helped by recommending installation companies in our area we could speak with. Our purchase experience was good from start to finish, in large part because of Erica's assistance. read more

My husband and I just went there today First time here and we were helped by Rebecca she seemed very nice at first and as we came back to return the doors we had bought because there was a bit of an issue she told my husband "why do you have to be such a pain in the ass?" Straight up like that. This is so crazy to me that their employees feel as they can treat their customers however they feel like it it's insane. We didn't even give her any attitude we were just waiting for her to give us a solution that is all As if it really bothered her that we would return the doors that would affect her commission or I'm not sure if they do get paid that way or not but the point here is this is part of their job to help I'm pretty sure they will run into so many customers who return doors every single day this shouldn't be anything new if this is the job they choose to do This is unacceptable behavior read more

Going through a remodel and had to buy doors for my home. I was struggling tremendously with finding doors that I liked. Went to so many places and nothing stood out to me. Home Depot & Lowe's doors were very bland and I was losing hope. That's when my mom told me about Urban Doors and as soon as I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Urban Doors is truly door heaven and has so many great options! Interior, exterior, different woods and metal doors. And all at such great prices, I almost couldn't believe it. Mckenna helped me pick the perfect ones for my home, she is so helpful and friendly - couldn't have got through this process without her. If you are searching for a place to buy doors, go to Urban Doors and ask for Mckenna! Also, Lance & Annabelle and the rest of the ladies in the office are all so wonderful and great with processing my order :) read more

We ordered unfinished pine doors for or French Door project. When our contractor picked them up there were all kinds of jagged wooed pieces that shouldn't have passed inspection. The doors in question were sent back. We also left struck instructions we will be installing a 3 point locking system so they only needed to install that basic plate hardware because our contract actor will boot where he needs to. The 2 sets of doors came back now with hardware installed making it impossible to use our 3 point locking system. At this point we were living. Granted we have then strict instructions what d to do and what not to do. So, finally we got out doors, although they tried very rough boring when we Rolf them we would bore it. Our contractor days he could handle it. Noe that we're ready to instill we found another errr. They put the hardware at the top that would accept the locking rod on the wrong opposite side of each door. Out contractors working now to correct it. These constant errors are not even as horrible as their customer service. The guy the is supposedly the head honcho on the office area was arrogant and not willing to try to fix their error he never even apologized!! My recommendation, don't even lose your money or time here. Rate S.S. read more

They have an impressive array of doors and service was good on the day we visited. However, the cost of delivery deterred us from buying for a home far away from their location. However, if we were local we would definitely have bought all the doors from them as many of their designs are unmatched elsewhere and I would be prepared to wait for the order. Since I did not make an order I cannot say anything about post slaes servcie. read more

Oh, we got at the front door that looks very nice, we installed it and the minute we installed we noticed there is some cracks on the door. We immediately got in touch with the office. They said they're not responsible and it's not their issue because we installed it obviously we didn't see it before they are not answering our calls not our emails and no one reaching back to us. Very disappointing. Obviously it's a very low quality definitely not recommended. read more

An absolute horror of a company. I went in store around October and fell in love with a front door--the door was the last one and broken and had to be ordered, the problems start here. In December, Ted the associate who helped us, called me informing me that the door arrived broken to the store. I wasn't in a rush so I let him know to order it again. The problems continued when I kept calling asking for an update on the door and kept getting the run around from Ted. I even resorted to going in person and asking for an update there, to which I always received a "next week" and come that day receive another date, this continued until February when I received my door finally. You'd think it stopped there, in less than 24 hours of my new door being installed, the door cracked in the exact same place as the original door I saw in store in October! Clearly, it's an engineering and quality issue now. I let Ted know and he said they will take care of it and replace it, to which I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I had ordered 12 other doors and had no issues. (It is now mid July and I've been given the run around again for months regarding my door. I also have to add that by this point my door has started to peel and bubble which shouldn't happen in less than 6 months on a 1.3k door) Tired of being ignored, I reached out to the owner/CEO Zem and made him aware of the situation with this door and he said that they will expedite it and I will have it in 2 weeks! The two weeks came, and I didn't get the door and received yet again, another "in 2 weeks it's in production". It's been two months of calling and driving to the store and I am not getting a response from anyone including the owner. I've called countless times, sent emails, went in person and I'm still waiting for my front door that I bought in October, 2024. Two thumbs down, would not recommend, if I could give negative stars I would. read more

I purchased two sets of exterior wood-and-glass doors from Urban Doors, and this has been one of the worst purchasing experiences I've had. First, it took months to receive the doors. There was very little communication, and the delay was far beyond what I was originally told. Second, they do not deliver the doors themselves, and they require you to sign a waiver stating that if your door faces a certain direction, there is essentially no warranty coverage. They also require that you seal the doors immediately after installation. I followed their instructions and applied two full coats of sealant right away. Despite doing everything they required, I had major door gap issues. Their initial "solution" was to mail me sticker pads to try to correct the problem. When that didn't work, they sent someone out who blamed the issues on my installation rather than addressing the product itself. Now the doors are taking on water, leaking, and there is visible water trapped inside both panes of glass. At this point, the product is clearly failing. I even reached out and acknowledged that their warranty exclusions are so broad they likely wouldn't cover anything, and simply asked them to refer me to a vendor I could pay to repair the doors. They wouldn't even provide that. I've since spoken to multiple professionals, and no one wants to touch these doors because of how problematic they are. I'm being told I will likely need to fully replace them. These doors were expensive, and the quality and support have been unacceptable. I would not recommend Urban Doors to anyone. read more

If you read no further, hire Jose Hernandez to install your doors. This review is for their OC location and more specifically for Jose Hernandez, who is one of their recommended installers. Jose was the only person I called who came out and measured the doors and filled out the order for me at Urban so we'd make sure we got what we needed. When the invoice and order was created, I sent it to him and he caught a typo. His advice, expertise, experience and overall kind and helpful demeanor were invaluable. Urban is a good place, reasonably priced and delivered in time, despite some delays in the order process. If you take nothing else away from this though, call Jose to get your doors installed.
