But I won $4! ...on a $20 ticket...BUT ANYWAYS~~~ It really was a cute and fun experience. I waited in the line, and a few news channels were there recording segments. The owner and his son that work there are always very polite when I go in. The only problems I have…read morehad with this station are one time someone skim my debit card after I had pumped gas there, and drained the money out. Luckily it was restored after a fraud investigation. The other problem I have here is the pumps are difficult to use sometimes, and they tend to pop off while you're pumping your gas. The last time I went by there it was under construction in January 2026. Hopefully when the repairs are made, they won't have these problems anymore.

I then ask for her managers number and she says "they'll be here on Monday". Sure enough... my gas gauge was blinking upon leaving my workout location LOL. I had to quickly find a gas station. Well, the nearest gas station was at least 5 minutes from where I was at. It was between Chevron or Shell. Guess who won? You got it... Shell! Funny, as I was driving to Shell, I saw Chevron, but it was on the other side of the street that I was driving on so I said I'll just stick with Shell. Great corner location on Del Mar Blvd and Arroyo Parkway. Clean exterior. Prices were several cents cheaper than Chevron... yay! They also have a food mart, but I didn't go in. I prefer to pay at the pump unless I really need to go inside. If they run out of paper, I just make myself a note on gas cost and be on my way and not bother going inside to get receipt. There was only one person in front of me. He was redeeming some scratchers as well. When I got up to the counter, I was greeted by a really nice gentleman. Thank you sir! He asked me to scratch off the bar code. I didn't know what he was referring to because I've never been asked to do so. Anyhoo, he said he's not allowed to scratch for the customer.
