Although they are open till 4:30pm, we arrived at 4:27pm with the office dark and locked. Fortunately the operations manager John Darios was walking to his car and asked us if he could help us. When we explained that we'd been caught in unexpected traffic and a 40 minute drive took 1.5 hours, he offered to show us the Pental quartz slabs. Even though we had narrowed our selection down to two styles online, he showed us other options and spent about 30 minutes with us. My wife and I stopped by at 4:10 in the afternoon knowing that they closed at 4:30 but we were just wondering if they had full slabs we could look at which they did. We explained that we understood that they closed and that we would come back tomorrow since it was obvious to us they did indeed have full slabs, but John would have none of that. John Darios took us from the warehouse section, where we entered into the showroom, he turned the lights back on and gave us complete service. We chose a few to look at from the samples in the showroom. He took us out back and even gave us samples to take home. We never felt rushed or that he urgently wanted to leave. On our way out the people who worked in the warehouse were waiting but there was nothing but smiles for us. It was a great experience and we will see John again when we have made our decision. read more

We recently did a garage conversion and kitchen remodel and our countertop fabricator suggested using Pental Surfaces. By following his suggestion we regretted it and it held up our kitchen remodel for over 3 weeks. The sample we chose is called Sahara, which has an almost tan sand look. But when our countertops finally arrived they had black, smudgy, almost stained look to it. While none of the samples we looked at had this look. We called up Pental Surfaces and were put in touch with Cem in sales. We shared pictures with him and he said our complaint would go through a review process. Later to find out that he was the person reviewing the complaint. He took his time and we eventually had to call back a week and half later to get an answer from him. To which Cem said there was nothing they could do. My wife and I went to Pental Surfaces to discuss this in person and while there we also looked at their show room and all their samples, none of which had these blotchy smudgy spots. When we were escorted to look at all the slabs every piece had them. They provided no solutions nor any apologies for their bait and switch products. Located in an industrial area in Van Nuys, you might miss the building because of the street numbers, and it's set back so far from the street. We went in looking for a certain color of quartz and liked it... whiter than what we have. But we also liked a light to medium gray quartz top too. They have large slabs, so they can make your kitchen counters without any seams! We were helped by a nice young lady, who took us to the back warehouse to show us the slabs, and then gave us samples. We looked around some more up front but she disappeared. Another lady sat at the reception desk and helped another customer and they disappeared to the warehouse. One mother was sitting and waiting for her daughter, and the two of us looked around but no one was left in the showroom. There were a few voices down the office corridor, but we were left in our own. Oh well.. we might buy their quartz, or maybe not? read more

Lots of luck with this outfit. First, called to find out about one tile they show online, you can't get through. Try it, give them a call. Next, on one of the voicemails I got to, it said, "to set an appointment for the showroom, e-mail LosAngelesShowroom at "cantel" or something like that, I didn't even understand the e-mail address. Fortunately, there are other great places in the area that have the same stuff, so don't have to waste further time. They really project that "we don't need you." With a lot of showrooms requiring appointments, they make it actually impossible to work with them. Other than that, nice photos online! read more

Pental quartz chips quite a bit at the edges of both our bathroom and kitchen sinks. I am very unhappy with the product

I'm a fabricator here in Santa Clarita Let me tell you why I'll never recommend this company I did a kitchen for a client who found his stone there We did a beautiful job on his kitchen but as the light in his kitchen cast across the stone there were circles under the factory polish. We called Pental they sent a rep out who denied it was a factory defect and tried to put the blame on me Then after going threw the warranty department they admitted it was a defect. So instead of taking care of the issue 100 percent they offered us two new slabs and left me to eat the fabrication and install. I could of passed this charge to my client but for me it was all about perfection so I just took care of him as he didn't have money to repay nor would of i let him When we went to pick up the two slabs , we were now aware of the defects in their product and turned the slabs in every way we could and found 2 of 6 slabs didn't have marks on them . I will never recommend this company nor will I work with their product ever again My advice to anyone considering this company to go to Msi , Vadara or Verona for a better product and a warranty that is honored and not pushed on the client and fabricator. At the end of the day this multi million company didn't do what was right and passed the buck to the consumer and the small business. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this product and this showroom. Renovations are difficult and stressful. Many shops and showrooms are staffed by rude and indifferent people. Many are filthy and laid out poorly, and really have no product to look at -- which doesn't make things any easier. From the moment we walked in the door, we were blown away. Christine greeted us with genuine warmth and interest, and actually engaged us. She answered questions, showed us slabs, pulled out (many) tiles, and gave us samples to take home -- she spent a long time with us. She's just a wonderful person. The showroom itself is top notch. Beautifully done, with large, representative samples. You can really see and touch what you are getting. And you can see slabs -- being able to actually see manufactured quartz counter slabs is not an easy thing to do -- many of the popular manufacturers do not have local shops to see large pieces of product. You cannot pick a counter top based on a 6x6 inch square sample, you just can't. The Pental quartz product is fabulous. It is a high quality quartz counter top, with excellent selections of color and style. Pental also has other products, including many wonderful lines of tiles, back splashes, and a gorgeous collection of quartzite and granite, recycled glass counters, and more. This all started, when I randomly stumbled upon a tiny Pental sample at a kitchen store in Culver City -- it was exactly what I had been looking for, which I didn't think existed: A manufactured quartz counter top, which looks like honed granite, but wears better, and a company with a showroom where I could actually see the product in a full slab, as well in an installation. I found what I needed...and so much more, with Pental. Thank goodness, is all I can say. read more

Once you get to the warehouse and see all the slabs and porcelain they have you're in you're own hgtv remodel show and your the star. STAY AWAY from this pental quartz. I purchased 3 slabs of white lattice 2 years ago for my kitchen. The island chipped last year and they sent someone out to fill it but did a poor job. I now have multiple chips so I called the general office who referred me to the store in Van Nuys. I was told by the manager, Greg that chips are not covered by the warranty. I am hiring a professional to repair the mess. Pental quartz is inferior to other manufacturers. I spent more and went with a better product in my bathroom. We placed an order for 4 slabs and back splash tiles. The slabs were in stock and very easy to pick-up. The person that helped us on the slabs was friendly and easy to work with. The order for backsplash tiles is another story. We placed the order on May 23rd for the black splash tiles and were told it would take a week to arrive. As of today, June 6th we are still being told the tiles are "in transit". They have no idea when the tiles will be arriving and no ability to track the order. Customer service is very weak and cannot tell us anything other than the tiles are "in transit". Good for slabs but I would go elsewhere for items not in stock. Our kitchen remodel is going on a second week of delays due to their inability to figure out our tile order. read more

I recently remodeled my kitchen and we went through a place called Trust carpet and tile. They ordered our quarts counter tops directly through Pental Granite & Marbles. Through texts and emails that I still have to show as evidence Pental promised that they would have my slabs delivered on Wednesday so I scheduled my fabricator for first appt Thursday morning. On Wednesday my guy from Trust carpet and tile reaches out to the Pental Quartz rep by mid-day to ask if my slabs were going to be delivered that day. The sales rep just nonchalantly says,"oh the truck is too full we won't deliver til tommorrow." That's it, nothing else, not even an apology. I picked up the phone and called to ask to speak to management to see what they could do for me since I already have an appointment set up that if I don't have materials for I will have to reschedule to God knows when (my remodel is already 2 months behinde so for this to be further backed up was unacceptable). I call their store and get a secretary that rudely tells me that my slab wasn't being delivered b/c payment in full has not been made in which my guy says is BS b/c he's always done cash on delivery. So at this point this horrible company is lying to me!! I demand to speak to a manager and after 30mins waiting on the phone I get directed to the inventory supervisor who finally tells me the truth. The truth is that their truck does not deliver into my area until Thursdays ( which I would have been fine with had they been upfront with me from the very beginning so I could schedule with my fabricator accordingly). Not once did I get an apology. Instead I get asked rudely,"what do u want me to do about it?" To which I reply,"I want u to deliver my slab today and I want u to retrain ur staff on delivering correct information!!!!!" He says," ummmm, I can't do that. I can only promise u that it will get delivered tomorrow. An hour later I am sooooooooo frustrated with this business and their lack of professionalism that I request to cancel my order from them. Basically if you want honest service and your product delivered on time then DEFINITELY don't do businesses with these unprofessional shmucks!! This is America so there's plenty of other granite/Quartz/marble companies out there. Go give ur money to a place that values ur business, treats you right, and delivers ur products on time!!!!! read more

They have a great showroom/warehouse where you can view all of their slabs. My husband and I found their Quartz to look the most realistic to white marble compared to other places. They only sell directly to the trade (not to the public) and they do not disclose their prices which is unfortunate because contractors can really jack up the prices-you would think the company would want some control of what their material sells for to the public. I found a lot of difference in quotes that I got on their slabs. read more

We are extremely happy with our new Pental Quartz kitchen counters. My wife loves the new brighter lighter look it gives our kitchen. We chose Oyster Polished style. We were introduced to Pental by a company we ended up not doing business with due to poor follow up. I was frustrated as I had contacted several companies to come to our home and give estimates and then have them not show up and not call. I spoke to John at Pental and told him of my experience and asked if he could recommend any installers/fabricators. He gave me three names and numbers which I thanked him for. The first name on the list was Vincent. I called him and set up a mutually agreeable time for him to come to our home and give us a quote. He showed up at the time agreed to and was very professional and knowledgeable. He said he had been redoing people's kitchen counters for 25 years. He made a very good first impression. Vincent advised that our kitchen could be done with one slab. This is significant because the other three quoting companies all advised that the project would take two slabs. The quote that Vincent gave me was significantly lower due to this fact. He wrote up a formal quote, we agreed on a start date and a completion date (very important). Vincent and his co-workers arrived as agreed and removed the old tile in one hour. The project proceeded smoothly and was completed on time. Vincent even made three trivets out of remaining Pental Quartz material for us to use as hot plates. John at Pental was instrumental in making our new kitchen counter project a reality. My wife and I are extremely grateful to him for that. After completion of the project, I paid a visit to John to show him pictures of the completed counters and to thank him for his help. He loved how they turned out and so do we. read more
