This place is very busy and has a long wait. After a tiring day at the Arches it's definitely leaves you satisfied. The food here was beyond what I expected. The place gave off a very 'at home' vibe. And of course, the food was incredible. The Pad Thai had its original exotic nutty flavor and the lime added a nice tang to its flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was also tender and aromatic. The curry was also very tasty too and the presentation was very exquisite. I also had the Thai Iced Tea which was surprisingly not overly sweet. A common mistake made by many Thai restaurants. From Nor Cal and we have our fair share of great Thai places there, and wasn't too sure about this place in Moab, Utah. But as always never judge a book by its cover the food here is solid. We got the Crispy Duck, crab fried rice, pnang curry, pad se ew. We did take out because the wait was long for a table, and believe it or not even with a 10 min.car ride home the duck was already drenched in sauce but was still crispy when we got home . This place was an excellent choice and hit right where it should. After a long drive to Moab. The food was mouth watering. The chef made delicious curry and decorated the food as if you were in a 5 star fancy place. This place deserves a five star! The ragoons were delicious. My wife got pineapple fried rice that was delicious. And best of all- the staff were very attentive and friendly. They even went out of their way to communicate in sign language simple gestures of thank you and you're welcome. If I ever come back to this area- this place has it for me/us. This was my second visit to Arches Thai. And I can say I walked away pleased with my food. So far I've had their Edamame, Fresh Garden Rolls, Pad Se Eew, and their Panang Curry. I've had these dishes with chicken and tofu, and I like them both. It was somewhat surprising to me that this high of quality Thai food could be found in such a small town like Moab. There are not too many restaurant choices in Moab, but they few that they have are pretty good. Arches Thai is one of them. Really the only thing that I didn't like is that their wait service had been slow on my two visits. Even when I went today and was one of only four people total in the restaurant, I sat for about ten minuets at my table waiting for my waitress to come back and take my order. Blown away by the food at this restaurant. Don't remember the last time I had such a good Asian food. Can't recommend enough.

The food was very very good from the appetizer to the main courses. The staff was attentive. We had a person that seated us and provided things to the table. Our waitress was friendly in aking order and checking back. And a third person assisted in delivering our actual appetizer and food. The shumai appetizer was so good. Firm and tasty. Flavorful dumpling and the sauce was a great complement. The pho was some of the beat I have ever had. The pad ka praow was tasty with crisp diced vegetables. The garnish was beautiful, a unexpected addition to the dinner. The room layout offered safe distancing. The wait for a table was shorter than they originally stated. Very reasonable for a good restaurant. We were in within 15 minutes. Would have waited much longer. It is a block off the Main Street. Normally I would give this place 5 stars. If you are looking for good Thai food in Moab, this is it. But why only 2 stars? I have been a long time patron of this place and was shocked when I saw their prices increase nearly 30%. Most dishes are now over $20. One of our favorite appetizers was their calamari with chili dipping sauce. You used to get a nice plate that was good for a few people. This time, a small portion came in a rice paper bowl with 7 round calamari slices. Yes...only 7. Their portions have definitely decreased in size. I have never seen such a small calamari appetizer from any restaurant. The prices are outrageous and I will likely be getting my Thai fix from one of the other 2 Thai restaurants in town which also are quite good. I am not sure of why the significant increase in prices as this place used to be reasonable with only a $$ price rating. They are now $$$$. For their prices, you can get a much better meal in Moab at a much nicer restaurant. The town was packed and most restaurants had lines out the door. Arches was nearly empty. So it looks like customers are voting with their wallets. I hope they can bring their prices back to a more reasonable level and I will come back. It's just a shame to watch such a decent place lose their way with prices and portion sizes. read more

Nice Thai place, especially considering the location. The parking is confusing, though. We first parked in the lot next to it but it was for a nearby food truck park. I don't know how strictly that is enforced, but we moved our car to be safe. We arrived about an hour or less before closing but they were busy. We did have to wait but not very long. Another lucky day! This Thai restaurant is authentic and everything cooked to order. We were seated right away and just waited for a few minutes to place our orders. The server was very helpful and made suggestions. We chose Paradise Shrimp & Chicken Curry with green and red peppers plus lychees and Pad Thaï Beef noodles. Both were sumptuous and not too hot as what she indicated. We only wished that they had a little more shrimps (there was only 3 pieces) and it was heavy on chicken pieces. Moab does not have a lot of high quality restaurants, but Arches Thai is an exception. There were ten of us in our party, and absolutely everyone liked their meal. It has a large menu that includes Thai, Indian and Chinese dishes. I would normally frown on a large menu, but they do an excellent job of preparing all three. The food was delicious but the hostess and the "waiter" were extremely rude. The hostess made absolutely no eye contact and was just plain rude. The "waiter" wasn't even paying attention when my husband accidentally spilled his cup of water. My husband said "hey, can you get some napkins?" and the waiter felt hurt because he thought my husband offended him by not addressing him properly. Well, when you have water all over you, I'm sure you aren't worried about addressing somebody properly. The "waiter" wasn't even concerned and didn't even help to clean it up. Another waiter came and moved us to another table and took the rest of our order. Even though the food was delicious, it would've been a pleasant experience if the staff had some decency to appreciate their customers because without happy customers, you won't have a business and the hostess and "waiter" wouldn't be employed. read more

After a few days of eating heavier meals while in Moab we were craving some good Asian food. We saw several Thai restaurants and decided to go with Arches Thai based on the menu options and reviews. We were seated very quickly and our server brought out the water and utensils right away. It took a little while for her to return to take our order. When we did start to order we felt like we were being rushed. Our food came out and looked amazing, minus the Beef salad, but more on that later. We ordered Pad Thai, Nam Tok, Tom Yum, and Beef salad. All of the dishes seemed really light on both lemongrass and kaffir lime, and the flavor profile was off for what I would consider to be good authentic Thai food. The Beef salad didn't finally make it's way out until we were all almost done with our meals. Outside of seating us and taking our order we didn't see our server again until we were all done eating and had been waiting for a while. She never checked to see how we liked the food or if we needed refills or not. We had to flag down one of the other servers to get us To Go boxes and the check. Right afterwards our server showed up for the first time since we ordered our food and asked if we needed anything. We then had to wait again for the other server to come take our check. I realize we are in a tourist driven town, but the food was quite expensive for average Thai food. I have never paid this much for a meal for 4 for Thai food in my life, and that includes some pretty amazing authentic places both domestic and abroad in Southeast Asia. Then to add insult to injury all parties of 4 have a 20% gratuity added to the check. We always tip well for good food and good service, but felt like we paid a 20% gratuity for what amounts to no service. I can't say I would recommend this place. Outside of the modern decor and interior design, the food and service was below average, especially considering the price. read more

As bad as it can get. Started with the seating - we didn't like the table and asked for a different one where there were several available. The guy pretty much asks us take a hike and when I said that any reasonable restaurant would accommodate what we asked for, he relented. I should have listened to my years of experience and left right then and there - but given the reviews, my wife really wanted to eat there. Then it continued to ordering. Inspite of the owner posting here that they have vegan dishes, the person taking the order pretty much shut us down - he said you want vegan, here is one dish for you - that's it - everything else is cooked with oyster sauce including the eggplant which was supposedly bean sauce. More than the possible lack of options, it was how this person was treating us - throwing a printed menu, pointing to one thing and trying to run away as if he was missing a flight or something. At at this point we had enough of this terrible service and walked away. If I had to rate this place on service from a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 0. We ended up walking to Singha cuisine - the food was really good but the service was so much better - they were willing to work with our dietary restrictions and steer us to the right items. read more

Yelp's 4.5 star rating for this Thai restaurant is perfect. Arches is not a normal looking Thai restaurant. We liked the wooden interior, and the fireplace inside the restaurant. They were busy when we arrived earlier this evening. Fortunately, we only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. It took a bit long to receive our food, but considering how busy they were it was acceptable. It helped that the service was fine, and they kept our water glasses full. All the food we ordered tasted way above average. The prices were a little higher than I am used to paying at Thai restaurants, but the serving portions were fair for the price. Really the prices were not bad at all for a resort town. Sure beats another Thai restaurant we tried in Moab a few years back. Personally, my favorites were the Chicken Penang Curry and the Chicken Pad Thai. Our other family members enjoyed the Beef Satay, Won Ton Noodle soup, Pad See Ew, and the Sticky Rice with Mango. 5 stars for our time tonight at Arches Thai Restaurant!
