The food was great, just what I needed after two days of road trip fast food and gas station snacks. I ordered beef pho and gyoza to go. Everything was fresh and had nice flavor. It was also packaged well for takeout, but be sure you check your sauces. There was no soy sauce, and I specifically asked for it. They lost a star because the woman who took my to go order seemed incredibly unpleased about me being at her restaurant doing something so inconsiderate as ordering food. I even had the nerve to add broccoli and carrots to my pho, an obvious pho pas , judging from her reaction. She literally rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, okay" when I asked for sriracha and soy sauces. Eh, we all have bad days. Coming from a Californian native, I have tried Thai restaurants that were close to authentic, so I already have an idea how Thai food is generally supposed to taste. For a small tourist town like Moab, I kept my expectations low for Arches Thai. I could already tell from the moment I saw the diverse staff members and their menu items being catered to accommodate American tastebuds, I already predicted how their food would turn out. Presentation of food was nice, but that was it. Pad thai, crab fried rice, and eggrolls were mediocre, but I wasn't bothered much since I was hungry. I'm so disappointed that they gave overpriced, small portions. The only item that saved me from putting only one star was the Fried Battered Tilapia with spicy chili sauce. He liked the other one better but online reviews show Arches Thai rated higher. My friend also told me the food wasn't very spicy here. That said, we ordered 2 meals, each at spice level 3 of 5. Good heat but not too hot. To do again, I'd try heat level 4. We ordered a Pad Thai with Tofu, a Best Friends (shrimp/scallop) and a Garden Roll with Shrimp appetizer. We came here after a long day of driving for a late lunch/early dinner. We were surprised to find an authentic Thai restaurant in a largely tourist town. Overall the food was great. Parking: We had some trouble finding the city lot, and there's a tiny hand drawn sign outside the front of the store that I never even saw until we were leaving. Enter the lot from Center Street, just around the corner Service: Service was fine, they gave our party of 4 an extra pitcher of water for the table so there was no need to search for refills Food: we ordered Drunken Noodle with tofu, Ginger Chicken, Veggie Delight with Chicken, and Prik Khing. We came here after driving back from Canyonlands. We were so exhausted and were so excited that it was open until 9 pm. It wasn't busy as it was 8:00 on a Wednesday night. We were seated right away. I got the panang curry and the boyfriend got chicken pad Thai. I thought I ordered him drunken noodles but I was exhausted so it was a solid mistake. My curry was good. It hit the spot since I was carving curry. And the boyfriend really loved the pad Thai. I had a bite and it was actually good pad Thai. So I definitely would recommend. If I had to pick a last meal, it would be Arches Thai green curry with an order of egg rolls. This place is a gem in the desert for so many reasons! My husband discovered it on his first visit and took me there a few months later when we stayed in Moab for winter hiking. The restaurant is family owned, and they take obvious pride in their food and customer service. Everything from small requests to issues with an order are quickly addressed and with a friendly attitude that ensures customers are happy with their experience. The menu has many options with a variety of dishes. From traditional Thai cuisine including curry and noodles to more American-familiar dishes like fried rice, they have something for nearly every weary traveler looking for a tasty, filling meal! We went twice during the five days we were in Moab (a testament on its own to how good it was) and I ordered two dishes. The green curry with chicken was superb! The flavor was spot on with just enough spice at the lowest level, and it tasted so fresh! The curry fried rice was my second dish, and I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor. It had the right balance of curry without overpowering the rice and vegetables. It was paired with fresh sliced cucumber and a lime wedge that, when all combined, was an explosion of flavor! I ate until I could barely walk out of the restaurant. The only caveat is that they have a small staff and are well-known in town. So there can be a wait for a seat if you don't get there early, and the wait for you're food can be longer when the rush is on. So try to go before 5:30 through the week! While a little more expensive than a burger joint--and understandably so--the cost is well worth the experience! We cannot wait to eat there again the next time we're in Moab, and it's the number one spot I recommend to anyone staying in or passing through town. read more

Came here for lunch in May but as it was a weekday they weren't having a busy day. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu which is something I always appreciate. As they weren't busy they were able to make vegetarian masamman curry for us( the regular one has fish sauce, so they had to make it from scratch). Both the curry and drunken noodles tasted great. Our little one enjoyed the lo-mein from kids menu. Thai iced tea was refreshing. Kids meal was expensive considering the fact that didn't come with a drink or a side. read more

Review for service charge and customer service : Take out orders is 15% Additional service charge: not posted on its Yelp listing First time I hear of such fee. The cashier lady rudely remarked that this was posted on Arches Thai's website, when I questioned her about it. I used Yelp and if its listing had the 15% added service charge notification for take out , I would have gone somewhere else. I did not see any notification. The amount of food for take out is definitely less than when we dine. Lady who took the phone order was rather abrupt and unmanneredly when I asked her to repeat what she was saying since I could not understand her. I am Never coming back to this place for take out. Fortunately for the rest of my 9 family members and friends in our group, they went somewhere else. I would title this, The Good, The Bad, and The Yummy. The good was it was open until 10, and we had just driven 4 hours from Salt Lake City to Moab and we were exhausted, and starving! The bad was my Garden Rolls and Edemame. The garden rolls were bland, and the Edemame was tough, with shriveled up beans. Then for main course I got the Drunken Noodles and my husband got the Arches Fried Rice. Both were delicious and the portions were generous, especially after a long day of hiking. In Moab for some epic hiking and trail running with friends. We wanted a delicious and filling meal to fuel our adventures. We were able to sit outside in the courtyard. Although it was crowded and they have limited staff, service was fast and friendly. My Thai basil chicken 4/5 spice level was perfect! Arches Thai is serving some of the best Thai that I've had. Had the pad thai, drunken noodle, and yellow curry. Would definitely recommend all three dishes, especially with shrimp. The portion sizes are big so definitely don't order more than one entree unless you are planning on sharing. They ask spice level 1-5, and I ordered a 3 on my curry but didn't taste anything. WOW this is a popular spot. And while it was good, I don't *quite* understand the out-of-this-world reviews. I picked up takeout from here on a Saturday night, and the place was completely packed. There was a line out the door as well as groups gathered out front, and I was glad we'd opted for takeout instead. My friend and I got the pad thai and fried rice, and both were huge portions. Just one would have easily been enough for two! My only disappointment? Both were super, super mild without the spice I've grown to love in thai food -- best to request it if you like spice! But both dishes were well executed and flavorful, and best of all, warm on a cold night. Maybe dining in is the missing ingredient? Or maybe other entrees are more where it's at? The food was tasty, the place was eerily empty when we arrived but soon got busy thereafter. The vegan pho with coconut cream was really tasty. Noodles so silky, lovely tang to the broth and plentiful chunks of tofu. That said, it was a huge dish, it's not nice to leave food behind but so hard not to do so with such a sizable portion. About half that would have been ample. The veggie rolls for starter were amazing too, so fresh, fresh as is claimed on the menu, the accompanying sauces were delicious. Liked the way they were cut into halves and made into accessible finger food. The pork shrimp shumai (like dim sum) and green curry with chicken were both enjoyable too: though I had ordered wings and green curry with shrimp. So while a markdown is important to note, the shumai was delicious, fresh, tasty, not over seasoned, boiled and then flash fried in places. Like the veggie rolls I could have eaten dozens of them... Not much more comforting for me than a Thai green curry. The protein here didn't do it for me, perhaps just defrosted(?) I did miss the freshness that shrimp brings to it. Very tasty green curry but definitely not as spicy as true Thai food. They do not offer the basic Thai condiments that most Thai restaurants offer in the East Coast, we wanted chili oil to add to the soups because they needed some heat. I assume this is because of COVID but it does not make sense because they offered Siracha sauce which is not a Thai essential condiment or fish sauce. My friend is half Thai and her mother prepares all her dishes with fish sauce sour and sweet elements that she said were missing but still tasty enough. The Thai beef salad was delicious on its own, we got the green coconut curry and the drunken noodles which were tasty. We ordered the samosa curry puffs to go which were shaped like mini empanadas, not the best I've had don't recommend those. read more
