Went on a Wednesday night at 6pm after reading all of the terrific Yelp reviews. The restaurant was completely under staffed with only one waitress handling the 14 tables. It took forever for our order to be taken, our water wasn't refilled, etc. I felt stressed just being there and watching the poor overworked waitress. She was so friendly and pleasant despite the chaos. This place needs to hire more staff ASAP. On the plus side, the curry and drunken noodles were pretty good. read more

I felt I had to comment on this restaurant as I have never had an experience like we just had. We went into the restaurant and placed a carry out order, this was after trying to call in and not getting any responses. I was told it would be 45 minutes to prepare. When I went back to pick it up, no one came to talk with me to even ask why I was there. I finally asked three of the staff about my order and got minimal response - I was not sure what was happening at this point. Finally after asking again I was told someone was working on putting my order together and they acted like they were insulted I was even asking about it!! (This was after waiting over an hour for the food). They finally brought the food out - I asked for more soy sauce and the person threw some in the bag. Bottom line is that the service was nonexistent and rude. We understand that it is Covid times and the restaurants in all the tourist towns are dealing with seasonal issues and challenges but that is no excuse for ignoring and being unfair to customers. Actually the food itself was very good - it just spoiled the whole experience to be treated so poorly and to have to deal with restaurant challenges to such an extreme extent when we are supposed to be enjoying our vacation. Seriously I am shocked and burned out dealing with the restaurant issues. Maybe if I knew what to expect I wouldn't have been affected as much. Posting this to give people a heads up. read more

Delicious!! We were hungry after hiking around the BLM dinosaur trails. Milt's was closed (many other cars were also disappointed about this Monday fact) so we ended up at Arches Thai. This restaurant ended up being a huge save after the Milt's disappointment. Portions are large to make up for the typically spendy Moab prices. Food here is great. The business struggles during busy times and have experienced lack of service when they are slammed. We ended up walking out after not receiving service, but came back a few days later. Wait staff apologized profusely and made it right. Friendly staff. Great food. Location is nice. The restaurant was clean and had a nice environment. Service was a lil slow, but that's taking into consideration that my husband ordered duck which takes longer to cook and there was a party of 18 that had sat right before us, so getting food took a lot longer than expected. Food is decent. Service is okay. Last time I was there, I was picking up a to-go order. There was a good 10 minutes of not being greeted, while in plain view, before I walked back to where the cash register was and basically interrupted two servers (who were very busy, to be fair) to even let them know I was there. We went on their grand opening day, accidentally stumbling upon it while traveling through town. VERY impressed. The staff and food are top notch, absolutely delicious authentic Thai food with generous portions. We liked it so much we ate there again on our way back through Moab. They are still in the process of decorating and adding more seating at the time of this post, but the restaurant is clean and cozy. You won't regret eating here. Amazing staff and amazing food bursting with flavor and style . Looking forward to stopping here again in the coming months to see the new decorations. I will start by saying the food is amazing. I downgraded to 2 stars for the service and snobbery toward children. We came early (by 5:15) to eat with our two small children. The place was pretty empty, with only 3 other tables occupied. Our 10 month old figured out it was fun to bang the table and before we could even get a chance to stop him, a waiter arrived to ask us to "tone it down." It went downhill from there, with comments every time he passed us, "I think we have a drummer." It was obnoxious, as we'd already gotten him to stop. The treatment was obvious enough for another diner to come over to our table and tell us she didn't mind our kids and that she had grandchildren their age. (They were actually behaving pretty well... we dine out a lot at home in NYC and they can be insane sometimes.) To seal the deal and inspire me to write this review, the waiter started to hand us the check as he cleared our entree plates and was visibly upset that we instead wanted to stay and order dessert. Great for actual food. Horrible for families. Update: the restaurant contacted me to say they didn't mean to offend us when they told us to "town it down," but that other diners and our waitress complained to him about the banging. This highlights my point. A place that responds with such nervous urgency to a bit of noise from a baby is just not a place I want to dine with my family. He then went on a tangent about the questionable seasonality of the dessert we ordered, which was delicious and fine. It was the feeling of being chased out of the restaurant that I wrote about, not the dessert itself. He was handing us the bill as he took away our dinner plates and had to pick it back up when we vocalized that we wanted dessert. I stand by my assessment. Food is great. Went here on a busy night. Recommend you turn around and walk away if you also arrive on a busy night. No food is so good that you must suffer the chaos of an overwhelmed kitchen. I was told when I arrived it would be a forty five minute wait for a table. I asked if I could put an order in for take out and was told it would be 20-25 minutes. I thought okay, I'll just sit and wait for the take out. Struck up a conversation with a couple women waiting for a table. 15 minutes elapse and they get seated and order. Another 10 minutes go by and the women seated at the table are brought their hot entrees and I'm thinking wait a minute; my order was put in to the kitchen 25 minutes ago and is still not ready? The two women who put their order in 15 minutes after mine went in now have their food. When I asked the person at the register why my food was not out yet she said they focus on the orders of people seated first. I reminded her I'd been sitting in her restaurant for the last half hour and my money was just as good as any of the other customers and if my food was not able to be brought to me immediately, I was leaving, which I did. Walked around the block to Miguel's Baja Grill and had a wonderful meal with the best service. It's amazing the difference from a restaurant that really does not care for your business, like Arches Thai, and one that understands you are the most important part of their business, like Miguel's Baja Grill. read more
