For Moab UT....not bad. This isn't the best Thai food I have ever had but I was pleasantly surprised. After a long day of jeeping this really hit the spot. We order yellow curry with shrimp, Tom Kha soup, and Pad Thai. They are a very good. The Tom Kha was a bit creamier than I'm used to and so was the curry. The shrimp in the curry wasn't fresh at all but I suppose that is to be expected being in Moab. Overall If I wanted Thai food and I find myself in Moab I wouldn't hesitate to come back. read more

Loved the Tom Yum fried and panang curry, both with chicken. Ask for the chili sauce/Siracha if you like spicy food. Didn't like the curry noodles; was just extra food at this point and noodles became soggy as it absorbed the curry sauce. Wouldn't order again. -------- Updated to 5 stars but I do want them to pay more attention to overall cleanliness. ------- Finally some flavorful food in Utah!! 5 stars for the food. -1 for cleanliness. Saw the person cleaning the tables use the same towel over and over again. And then lay the plates (with his hands on them). In Moab for 2 days - would not have expected much from a local Thai restaurant in Utah, but walked away satisfied and impressed. Massive portions and great flavor in your traditional Thai dishes. Based on the reviews, my husband and I gave the restaurant a try. The restaurant was spacious with nice decor. Ultimately, however, we were disappointed with the food and the service. Thai is one of my favorite foods and our dishes were somewhat bland and not spicy although we requested spicy. Their spicy tray consisted of red pepper flakes which was another disappointment. I would have liked some diced spicy red peppers in fish oil. The service was S-L-O-W despite it being a Monday night at 8p with the restaurant less than half full. I'd recommend trying one of the other Thai restaurants in the area. read more

Southeast Asia in Southeast Utah What a nice restaurant. It is housed in a charming building that, while quite nice, doesn't seem to evoke Thailand. Anyway, the food was really good overall. Service was generally good, but the restaurant got slammed while we were there and we could forgive a few missteps. We really enjoyed the Shumai dumpling appetizer and the Tom Kha soup. That was quickly followed by the "2 Best Friends" entree which was great--keeping the scallops and shrimp tender is hard to do. We also had the mango curry with chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was somewhat tough while the flavor was very nice. Servings are large and we took a fair bit of it home. I would happily go again to Arches Thai. read more

Delicious food. The wait was insane. 45 minute wait and then a 15 minute wait to get our drink order taken. Then another 20 minutes to get our food. Next time I would call my order in. You can get the heavenly aroma of Thai herbs and spices even before you enter the place. We love Thai eggplant and are pretty discerning about it, we were delighted by the eggplant with chicken dish. I am usually quite tolerant to service, but this time, it is just EXTREMELY slow. If you are coming to this place for dinner after 6:30pm, I would recommend you have dinner somewhere else before coming, because we are talking about 1-1.5 hours of waiting before getting your food ready. The tap water has a strong odor of bleach. One waitress is nice and others are not so kind. Overall, I would say it is a good place to kill time and bring your card game with you when you wait for your dishes so that you don't get bored. read more

We had to wait 15 Minuten although there was a Free table without any reservation and though they prefered to let us wait until they cleaned up a dirty, used table. This Thai place had solid flavors and a clean spacious dining area. But the food is really not worth what you pay. Portion sizes were very small for the price. The steamed dumplings tasted great but there were only 4 tiny dumplings and it cost $8. (Most places I go serve six dumplings for $5 or $6). Pork pad Thai was average. The mango with sticky rice dessert was a joke, mango was not ripe and the amounts of rice served was about 3 tablespoons (cooked!). The rice was tasty but again it was incredibly over priced for the amount of food received. read more

For our party of three weary travelers, bumbling around the Utah desert, perhaps the only way to describe Arches Thai is an oasis of delicious food- too good to put down or take home, forcing most of us to eat past the point of fullness and push on until we could barely make it out of the door and onto our ATV tour. In all seriousness, the food was absolutely delicious and light, and tastes "healthy," so even at the end of a large meal, you feel great. I got the spicy basil with Tofu (a great vegetarian entrée), while my friends got chicken fried rice and chicken and ginger respectively. Book your dinner dinner early. We got sent back out when a guy said they aren't taking any in when they still had about 40 min til closing. Why not put a damn sign out front or mention it in their ad. We drove a long ways just to be sent out not to mention the hassle to find parking and waited inside 10 min. for nothing. They guy wasn't even polite either, appeared like some cook. Whenever I see a business ran unprofessionally, I don't go there again regardless how good they think they are. Not judging the food but it's Utah, so I wasn't expecting great, I just wanted to eat something besides the usual steaks we've been eating there in the city before everything closed up early. read more

This is possibly the best Thai I have encountered. It is just that much better that we found this gem in Moab. It was possibly the best meal we had during our 6-day trip. Being Indian, I have had my fair share of samosas, but the samosas here are out of this world! I highly recommend giving them a try. We had also gotten pad thai with tofu and basil fried rice with chicken. The service was absolutely impeccable!
