We were craving Thai food after a cold wet hike to the Delicate Arch plus it started to snow so we wanted something warm and spicy, but boy did this place disappoint! First off the decor and the setup were looking like maybe it had been a former Mexican restaurant then the sign said "thai + pho" so we were a bit hesitant. But then again were we expecting authentic thai food in Moab?? Maybe? First, we ordered curry puffs that needed to be heated up a bit more. The filling was cold and the puff portion needed to be puffier and crispier. It tasted like we were biting into white bread-- and I would've enjoyed pb&jelly more. Chicken wings were okay. One of the wings just had a lot of clotted blood with no meat in it so I stopped eating that. The Drunken Noodles had only a few noodle pieces with mostly bamboo shoots thrown in. The flavor was okay but it definitely needed more noodles. Also we asked for level 5 spicy, this is a level 2. Lastly, I ordered the green curry which I couldn't eat after one bite because it was basically gooey coconut milk with a green color. I tasted absolutely no curry. Then the waiter recommended that I order the jungle curry instead because they "use no coconut milk" in that hahah as if I don't like coconut milk. I like coconut milk but when I ask for curry I expect some actual flavor uhh perhaps some curry! Anyway the jungle curry was basically just a teaspoon of curry and water turning out to be curry soup that got poured over a cold salad, chicken and of course the bamboo shoots! I would never come back here again. The waiter still charged me; didn't even offer me a refund for the nasty green curry dish. I mean I would have paid either way but at least offer if you see a customer's utter disappointment. We definitely do not recommend this place and we regret eating here.... In fact we stopped eating and went to Subway's for a footlong. It was a much better experience! read more

First time to Moab, we wanted to eat healthier and choose a Thai restaurant. The Arches Thai was alittle difficult to get to but worth it. I had a Thai salad which was so fresh and crispy. My husband had a red curry special which I helped him eat. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Most people visit Moab because of the national parks - Arches and Canyonlands. (If you haven't been to either, it's a once in a lifetime experience. I had a separate review on Arches NP.) Amazing views with amazing Thai food = amazing trip! So we initially wanted to try a super hyped up Vietnamese fusion place but due to their indifferent service we found this place on yelp and came here instead. SO GLAD WE DID. their food was bomb and service was prompt and friendly. Their Tom yum soup was perfect for a cold day, and the drunken noodles were spot on. Their mango curry was out of this world. Highly recommend the curries - so rich and flavorful. Perfect for after a long day of altitude hiking. So many unique options too - we had the curry noodle w chicken, green curry w tofu, and crab fried rice. After road trip food, this super satisfies the craving for something different, rich and hearty. Appreciate they use fresh and organic ingredients as much as possible which really makes the flavors pop. When you travel to a national park, you have to brace yourself to be far from services and variety. Happily, when you're vising Arches National Park or Canyonlands National Park, Moab is a flourishing town with lots of options to make you feel like you're close to civilization. Prices may be a bit higher but you're in the middle of the desert! Arches is a nice Thai restaurant that will really hit the spot, especially if you've been on the road visiting the other of Utah's Mighty Five national parks. It's nice to have warm noodles or other Thai dishes available after days of fast food, chain restaurants, or hole-in-the-wall places you find near other national parks. Flavors are good and authentic. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. Open until 10p -- which is pretty late for such a small town. Staff is friendly. From placing the order and receiving the food the waiter said "20-35 minutes". We waited over an hour for the food for takeout. I don't care if your sign says "not fast food" but you need to have some customer service etiquette when it comes to expected wait times and delays. At least offer water or a discount for people's troubles. Poor customer service, not even authentic Thai food, better off going somewhere where no one lies about wait times and does not even check on waiting customers to update changes in times. Lots of selections on the menu including most traditional Thai dishes such as pad Thai and red/green/yellow curry. We got the Thai fried wings with special sauce, the eggrolls and the jungle curry with chicken. I added a side of sticky rice for myself while my friend got the white rice that the entree comes with. Although they tout that the jungle curry is not that spicy, it actually has a kick to it and builds up after a few spoonfuls. Recommend letting them know youre not able to tolerate spice so they can adjust the level for you. We visited the week before Labor Day weekend and tend to eat early, so had the restaurant virtually to ourselves. We enjoyed this enough to go back two nights. Although the restaurant was pretty empty, we noticed quite a robust takeout business going on. The restaurant was clean and well layed-out. Service was very quick, food came out arranged very attractively and our waiter was quite attentive. We enjoyed the food, particularly the well-done flavor and that the vegetables were not overdone. I'm eating four stars only because the sauces were a little overwhelming (in quantity) compared to the noodles / vegetables. Were the dishes served with a less sauce, they would be perfect. I asked if the chicken satay was gluten free. She said yes. I ordered: chicken satay, edamame, and fresh spring rolls. It was actually a good light meal. Everything was solid and perfectly simple. The reason this is a 3 and not a 4 star is because I felt terribly bloated after my meal. I suspected that the peanut sauce was made with regular soy sauce that includes wheat. I think what really irritated me was that there was Guest WiFi available to connect to but the server said that it was no longer available. Sounds silly, but take down the WiFi if it's not longer available to customers? Also, they automatically add a 20% tip if you dine in and you can't opt out.
