Jake was easy to work with, easy to reach, and provided guidance along the way. When other companies were slow or difficult to reach with questions (e.g. paver sizes and pricing), Jake would have an answer in minutes. But I didn't find out till later when the planter box was all flooded like a lake and overflowing like a river to the street. I found the broken PVC right where I instructed his worker to plant an agave fior me. When I told Isaiah's TFH Landscaping that his worker broke the sprinkler line, ISAIAHs said he would send the worker over to do the repair in a couple days which Isaias said was Tuesday, the worker never showed up. When I called him to say the worker never showed up he said he would come in a couple days and he personally will come and be there. Well Isaias never showed up. What's worse is he used to answer the phone on the first ring and was "always there for me" and even said "You know I am always here for you and I answer the phone". But after he didn't show up two times he wasn't answering the phone anymore .... ever. I left many, many messages telling Isaias I was disappointed that not only does he not show up to do the repair that his worker broke, but he deliberately is ghosting me for weeks. He sees from caller ID it is me calling for him to repair something he damaged (I sent pictures of the hacked irrigation pipe in the hole where the agave got blown outta there from the broken line), so he deliberately does not answer the phone ever again to BE THERE FOR MEEEEE, like he told me previously. That deserves 1 Yelp star. So you think I'm going to do business with him if he doesn't even answer the phone ever? Someone told me "because they don't get paid to repair their mistakes and have to take time out from already paying jobs to go to a job that doesn't pay. I never spoke to Isaias again because he didn't care to come back ad fix the broken pipe his worker hacked to pieces. That deserves 1 Yelp star don't you think? I have a new landscaper who has many solid 5 Yelp stars, and so far he has shown up every time I needed him, right on time, even when he squeezed me in. But I have no experience if he will show up to fix something he didn't do right, because nothing like that has happened so far.

We had a lot of weeds and the grass was patchy and mostly non existent. We had a retaining wall that was just loose pavers stacked haphazardly. At the first appointment, we shared our vision with Travis from Always Green, he took measurements, and then he sat down with us on the designs. He also provided an estimate which was very reasonable (we had received other estimates from 3 companies that were all thousands of dollars more). He provided some professional recommendations. In the designs and we agreed for them to do the work and scheduled right then. After he left we iterated a couple times on the design until we got it right. On the scheduled day, the team Xavier, Manuel, Rene, and Juan came and started working building the wall and leveling the yard. The project manager, Tom, also came. I explained the job and walked them through everything we had finalized with Travis. There were a couple things that didn't get communicated from the design team to the builders, but they made sure they were clear with me before starting. The whole process took 3 days. Tom communicated well with us on the progress. Xavier made sure to ask questions if there was anything unclear. Also, they cleaned up pretty well after. There were a couple minor things that needed to be tweaked after, and they made sure to take care of those quickly. Tom provided us instructions on how to care for the yard to make it last a long time. We are very happy with our transformed back yard!

Cesar, the Project Manager, came out on both install days and again at the end to walk it with us. Israel led the crew and checked in with me throughout -- he actually spotted a sprinkler leak before any work started. They leveled the soil first, so the grade came out smooth and even. Two things stood out. They left us a spare patch of turf in case we ever need to repair a section. And the cleanup was immaculate -- you genuinely could not tell there'd been a crew tearing up the yard that morning. Communication was the best part. Email, text, phone, in person -- always knew what was happening and when. No complaints at all.
