My husband and I come here often. We usually order ahead because it can take some time ordering in store--mostly if they're super busy. We really like the drinks. The vibe is really nice if you wanted to stay with friends, study, etc. They recently changed their menu. I am a bit disappointed to see the steak sando no longer an option on the menu. It was our favorite thing. I'm in the process of giving their new menu a chance. I did try the new breakky sando. I can see how people may like it, I didn't like it personally. I do see that sometimes they offer brunch or more fleshed-out dishes, but information on that doesn't seem readily available and I wish it was because I'd love to try it! The coffee itself here is pretty acidic and not entirely my favorite. The matcha has always been pretty decent, and no complaints about clumping or bitterness here! I come here mostly for the flavored/seasonal drinks. Lines are commonly out the door, but go quick. Waiting for food/drinks can take some time, however. This location is called the "bakehouse" so it's good to get a pastry while here : ) I got the blueberry cardamom scone which is very tasty and not overly sweet. I also got drip coffee, which you can get free refills for if you're dining in. With a clean interior, aesthetic outdoor seating, and delicate portion sizes, the Bakehouse is my favorite eatery at the Canyon Crest plaza to grab a fancy brunch. It's convenient to swing by after a morning of errands and grocery shopping, and parking is abundant too. Arcade is a farm-to-table style cafe that boasts fresh and quality local ingredients. I don't usually order drinks so I can't speak to the quality of the coffee, but the food is true to their concept. Items run quite pricey, so lunch here is a treat rather than a habit. My favorite items are the brekkie sammie and the chorizo hash which come out crisp, warm, and buttery. The many savory flavors in these two dishes combine wonderfully, but the dishes tend to be heavy with oil. I've tried other items as well. The seasonal french toast is always fun to try, but absolutely must be split with another person or the large portion size, which looks impressive, quickly becomes too much. The french toasts are very sweet and buttery, so for a lighter sweet treat, the Bakehouse's a la carte pastries hit the spot well. The Steak "Sando" was okay-- I would recommend skipping it as it was dry and also just not a sando. The name desperately needs to be changed, as the word sando is not a cute abbreviation of sandwich but refers to the Japanese style of sandwich made with shokupan, and absolutely not focaccia. Weirdly enough though, the best part of the dish was the focaccia, which you can order a loaf of on certain days. I tried a potato and pork belly one, which was delicious toasted in the oven, albeit a little too oily. Overall, I would recommend checking the Bakehouse out, but definitely peruse Yelp for pictures of the food first. read more

Arcade Coffee and I are best friends at this point. I am completely SAT for this establishment. Aside from a Starbucks coffee (which I still appreciate) you can definitely taste the difference between commercialized coffee to a well crafted coffee. The excellent quality is derived from their fresh coffee beans roasted weekly! This location is "The Bakehouse", a charming cafe where you can chat, enjoy coffee, and study. The music does play a bit loudly here, so if you find music to be bit distracting, there is a patio area right outside. Free wi-fi, so that's great. And the menu is displayed from a projector. How cute is that? Firstly, their Steak Sando is nice to pair with their iced draft latte. I've only gotten to try one flavor of the month (rose vanilla) and it's delightful with hints of floral and slightly sweet. I can't speak for the food since I only had drinks. I got a decaf latte and a decaf dirty chai. The decaf latte was pretty awful and probably the worst one I've had on this journey. The dirty Chai was okay but the flavors just masked the sad decaf coffee. I had passed by this cafe twice, but had already eaten and thought I would come back and check it out. Yesterday, I was in town and excited to check out the previous home of Jam and Bread. I don't think I cam win with pre conceived ideas, since I had seen the menu online. I did go on a rainy day, but the seating outdoors was tolerable because it was covered. ALL of the seating was taken inside, all college students and while some were eating. Most were just occupying the seating and no room for incoming customers. The food: Let me start by saying, "the presentation" was there, but the quality relative to the quantity of the price for purchase does not justify presentation. I got a Yuzu green tea, it was fine, but overpriced. I also got the avocado toast. Nothing special about the sourdough, just store bought. The avocado "dip" was half an avocado mashed with old purple onions and pickles, not cucumbers and a sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning. The toast was fresh toasted the avocado dip was premade. My friend can and had a latte and the said with with fried fish skins. She only at half, I think she was grossed out by the "presentation". It is a bit hidden and the Google maps didn't send me to the correct location but still within the shopping mall. I went around 10:30 and was able to find booth seating where I was able to do work. I ordered a gingerbread latte which was seasonal and their chocolate strawberry scone which I tried at the downtown location and loved!
