The only sandwich that's even in the same conversation is Ms. Cindy's Italian from Ioannoni's, and even that is a close second. This chicken cheesesteak is a perfect 10/10. Why? * Flavor: Outstanding. Every bite is packed with flavor. * Seasoning: Perfectly seasoned. Nothing bland, nothing overpowering. * Cheese Ratio: Exactly how it should be. Every bite has cheese without drowning the sandwich. * Bread: Fresh and soft while still holding together from start to finish. * Moisture: This is what separates it from most chicken cheesesteaks. The chicken is incredibly moist and juicy without making the roll soggy. Most places treat a chicken cheesesteak like it's just a cheesesteak with chicken substituted in. Balboa doesn't. It feels like they actually designed the sandwich around the chicken instead of just replacing the beef. I even texted the owner after eating it because it was that good. I told him: "Flavor. Seasoning. Cheese ratio. Bread. Moist and juicy. God damn." That pretty much sums it up. If you've only ever ordered the regular cheesesteak from Balboa, do yourself a favor and try the chicken cheesesteak at least once.
