My daughter put in an on line order, I ended up with deluxe cheeseburger, I wanted no cheese, she…read moresaid the order said cheese on meat. I have an allergy to cheese. Without realizing it, I took 3 bites out of it and realized that my sandwich wasnt right and had cheese on it. I get very sick with headaches and stomach pains from dairy. My daughter's chicken stripe wasnt spicy like she wanted. I took the food back up there and the manager asked for my recipe, I had food in bag. His energy was strong of ego and making sure he won this battle coming thru the door. As I explained to him my problem, he printed iff my recipe and said she ordered with cheese, not our fault. Im actually a medium, and all the way back to store, I heard dont argue, dont throw the food at him and we r sorry. He refused to remake my food because it was our fault not his. I just gave him the bag of food back and left, drove thru McDonald's and bought a sandwich from them. Did I mention that today was my day off and I work as a supervisor in the Tin Lizard in east peoria Illinois and when a guest has a complaint, I ask them how can I fix this for you and make it better and what can I do for you. Because as a manager that is what you are suppose to do. I live in morton and i will not go back to a place where im treated like this. Let alone the money of 40 there and another 10 at McDonald's

The food itself is really good, but that girl clearly doesn't know how to communicate. Just beware if you go there -- you might have to deal with this careless employee. Ordering online is a safer option. We did order quite a bit of food, but with fast food, that's definitely going to happen -- and big mistakes like this shouldn't.

I did find the bread (I got wheat) a little bit hard after toasting it. Overall, the food was good service was fast and our bellies were full.

Review Visit: September 5th, 2013…read more Potbelly leads to a full belly. Matt, Laura, Tim and I needed a place to go for dinner. I left it to the group to pick the place as I like to take a backseat to having to be the one who always picks. The group ended up picking Potbelly Sandwich Shop as we all hadn't been there before. This was perfect as it was also on my list of places to try out. I don't remember much from this visit but I will try and piece together what I do remember. There was something in the air as I was hungry but nothing at Potbelly ended up sounding like something I was craving. With that in mind, I did end up getting some chili, a bag of chips, and a soda for my meal. Not the entire full experience but since they do specialize in soups as well as other things, I think it counts as trying a place out. The chips were a national brand so those were as delicious as expected. The chili was your standard chili. A little better than normal but seeing as it was your basic chili without any special flavorings, it did it's job. If you look below, you will see a photo of Tim and I. In said photo, I look pissed or upset about something. Looks can be deceiving as this was not the case. Tim and I have known each other since pre-school and have butted heads a million times over the years. But when we butt heads, we do it in a comical way where its not serious. We get all huff-n-puff and argue with each other but it's more entertainment for us than actually arguing. I think maybe we've actually argued less than the number of fingers on our hand (figuring you have all your fingers). I decided to include it just as a fun glimpse at a side of my friendships that no one really gets to see. As for Potbelly, it's a nice place to eat. I would place it in the same class as Panera or Noodles and Company. An upscale subway, if you want to think of it like that. I've been wanting to go back as their menu does look appetizing and they have some sandwiches that are absolutely delicious looking. Funny enough, my sister and I almost came here for her birthday lunch but she ended up opting for Tequila's instead. Someday Potbelly, someday.

Review Visit: July 28th, 2013…read more Super Gyros was Super Good! Our buddy was in town while on leave from the Navy and we agreed to get lunch at Super Gyros. We didn't spend much time inside as we spent more time after lunch talking in the parking lot about random stuff. What I can tell you is that Super Gyros has your typical layout of a McDonald's or Hardees/Carl Jrs. There is a counter with menus up and behind the cashier. They take your order, you get a number, you grab a seat and you either have the food brought out to you or you pick it up at the counter. I am a newbie when it comes to gyros, so I had a hard time deciphering the menu. I settled on a lamb gyro combo. I know soda and I know french fries, but this was my first gyro. We grabbed a table and caught up on times while we waited for our food. It didn't take long as there wasn't too many people ordering food. I actually never see more than 1-2 people ordering from here at a time, so I am surprised it is still in busy as of late 2020. But, it's good to see they are still open. Back on track. After 10 minutes, all three of us had our food out in front of us and I was staring at my gyro like a deer in headlights. I didn't know if I should roll it up like a burrito to eat or fold it in half like a taco. I think I did a half-hearted burrito roll that left more of it on the wax paper than in my mouth. I tell you what... for never having a gyro nor lamb before, this was fantastic. The gyro wrap itself was thicker than a tortilla shell but not impossibly too thick to enjoy. It complimented the meat and toppings well. It sparked a small love in me for gyros that I didn't know was there. Going back to these niche places is hard for me for whatever reason. I've been by this place a million times in the following years but never had I returned, either solo or with someone. Maybe someday I will get to experience it again and all the other places I've been that haven't gotten a second visit.
