Pretty reliable food quality and clean environment. Not inexpensive, but if you know that going in, not too bad.

I've eaten at Jersey Mikes Subs in the Dallas area, but this is my first time at the Abilene store…read more Jersey Mike's is definitely one of the better sandwich shops. The special they are running right now is the #2 sub, chips, and drink for $10.99. An excellent sub and an excellent value. The Abilene store is quite small, so the seating area is very crowded. You are definitely back to back with the next table, so getting it to go might be a better idea. Again, great food and I'm glad they finally made it to Abilene.

No. Just... no. They…read morehave maybe a quarter of the toppings every other sub place offers. No pepper jack, no black olives, no cucumbers. Basically, "choose your adventure," except all the adventures are sad. And then the prep? They build your sandwich directly on a cutting board. A dirty, scraped-off-between-subs cutting board. Everyone else uses paper to avoid cross-contamination. Not here. They scrape, shrug, and start again. This place is DEFINITELY NOT SAFE for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities! They also drench the previous sandwich in vinegar, scrape the board like they're mad at it, and then slap your bread down right on the damp battlefield. Mine tasted like vinegar even though he didn't put any on it. Couldn't have onions, yet the sub made right before mine had a mountain of them... and that mess became my sandwich's foundation. And the price? Twenty bucks. For a "Giant" which was just everyone else's foot long or regular. My coupons are going in the trash, and I am never going back.

The vibes were immaculate from the stunning decor to the chill music, it was giving Sunday afternoon on a Friday at 10:00 am. Chef Alex let me sample the Lemon Basil Chicken Salad which was truly elevated and delicious. (Best I've ever had, by a landslide) so I had to order it on the crescent. I also had the Italiano Panini which was an explosion of flavor! It paired perfectly with the cold pasta salad which effortlessly balances flavors of harissa, black olive, and sweet cherry tomatoes with just enough hint of spice to awaken the senses and make you crave more. Chef Alex does not miss! Believe it or not, the most amazing thing about this place is not the ambiance or the food. What drew me in and will keep me coming back over and over again is the fact that the owners Chef Alex and his wife April have captured the feeling you get when visiting a small family owned restaurant in Italy. The personal service, charismatic interaction with the chef, and a sense of the passion they bring to every detail of your experience! Especially the food. They are genuine and hard working and deserve all the success in the world!

Casual. We sat at the bar and our bartender was amazing! He was funny and attentive despite being very busy! Service: The restaurant was so busy with diners even at 8:30 PM on a Saturday evening. I did not expect it to be this busy in my head. My husband and I sat at the bar since that was open seating and there were no sit down tables available inside or on the patio. The restaurant will add you to the waitlist if you'd like! Food: My husband and I shared the deviled eggs appetizer, and "the burger" with grilled jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. The deviled wggs (satan's huevos) were good, and spicy because we chose the "hellfire" option. The burger was huge! I'm glad my husband I split it because there was no way I'd finish that burger on my own! We both left content and not stuffed.

We looked at the menu online prior to coming and knew that we both wanted to try the cheese steak, so this was a bit of a bummer. They waitress who was very attentive told us that we can't order from the full menu for another 30 minutes so we decided to wait rather than leave. Listen, I get it the idea of having a different menu for brunch, but why not post it on your website and state the specific times for each menu? Also, what difference does 30 minutes make? They couldn't fire up the grill 30 minutes early? It wasn't very busy. Anyways, now for the good part: When we were finally allowed to order our sandwiches they were absolutely amazing. The steak was high quality and the gooey cheese had a ton of flavor. What wasn't amazing however was the bill. $20 for a sandwich and a small portion of fries in Abilene is absolute insanity. What's even crazier is we were charged extra for a side of ranch! I understand you get what you pay for, and there's no arguing the quality of the sandwich was top notch, but at the end of the day it's still just a sandwich. If you're good with dropping nearly $60 (including tip) on lunch, then this is your spot. For me, I'll take my business elsewhere.
