Ordered two steaks, offered to pick up. Arrived, had to wait, we paid at the drive thru, left. Immediately upon arriving and parking at home received a phone call to inform me that the order we paid for was the wrong order. We received the right food, but paid the wrong ticket. We paid what we were told to pay. We were informed that our transaction was cancelled and credited but we needed to return to pay the right ticket. Get this: OVER $4.00. Now we have to turn around, waste more gas, time over their mistake and their demand that we make them whole by returning and correcting their mistake, unheard of! Who makes us whole? Now we have been credited for the meal we have not paid for, we are returning to pay for the correct meal (they think), but instead we will return to return the entire damn meal. We are now whole. I'll cook my own steak! At least it won't be cold. So we just went in and they said they would rather have the food back instead of a 4.00 loss...our ticket was 28.00. I've passed by this place several times and never gave it a second thought but the other night I wanted something different so I decided to give them a try. Never in my life have I been so right! I ordered the medium ribeye medium which was a bit over cooked but the mushrooms, grilled shrimp and loaded baked potato more than made up for it. My son got the triple bacon cheeseburger and when a teenage boy can't finish a burger you know it's huge. He said it was amazing. I ordered steak with a baked potato and two kids meals. It was horrible! The steak was like rubber, maybe worse. The baked potato was bad. It looked disgusting. My child wanted to try it. It was so hard, it broke the fork they sent with it. The children's chicken came cold. My daughter's felt frozen in the middle. I called to inform them. They were not polite or helpful. Told me they will talk to their cooks and do better next time. I was staying in a hotel. The woman at the front desk said they were amazing. And to top it off, the pricing is more than listed here. I argued and showed them the price difference and they told me that I can't look a google. I shook my head and said, you need to fix it. After investigating my food further, I opened my cold condiments (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle) to see the saddest, smallest, limp brown lettuce leaf. To call it a leaf is a stretch. Alright. Progress. I admit maybe I was ordering the wrong steak when I ordered the New York strip, I just can't imagine it being so thin though. I really did not want to make dinner the other night and steak express was just sounding soooo good (the old steak express) so I decided to give them another chance. I did an online order and then caked the store and told them I had just spent $60 so it better not be any less than perfect. B, the manager was very understanding and even advised me of a special they had and I ended up ordering that. It was a ribeye this time instead of the New York strip and they turned out perfect.
