Their check-in process is ridiculous and you have to check in on your phone instead of walking up and talking to a human being. You never see the same doctor. This arbor Pediatrics bought out my old phoenix pediatric units and now I feel as if these offices are scrambled. I changed locations to this location since they were bought out bc all my kids are already in the system and I've been coming here for 9 years but this place is unorganized and really sloppy. I waited in my room for 40 mins after I was seen by the doctor waiting for my 2 months shots and no one even noticed. I finally came out of the room to address it and they said they didn't even know I was waiting and it was pretty much the doctor's fault. I don't know what they need to do to get this office in shape but it needs to be addressed asap. read more

Usually a five star! I have been coming here since I was a kid ! Love alllllllllll the doctors they are so overly through , if that makes sense haha . Not a fan of Dr. Bartlett , I am a RN and want a critical thinker and to rule out all the bad not just assume . I was told my kidddo is "not that sick " and let me know / it's a concern when you cannot awake or arouse my child ... no thanks trying to prevent that . Good news is I followed my instincts took him to phx children and he was indeed very sick needed additional antibiotics etc and had a very contagious pneumonia. this place has always been the best and recommend to EVERYONE But the doctors are getting to retirement age and I pray for the kiddos sake they are picky with who they choose , pick only the critical thinking , good listening , ruling outer ones haha. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do not trust this place with your kids health. Doctor Iorio is completely rude and condescending. He will leave your child in tears by the end of their visit. Doctor Seitter seemed okay at first until we ran into the same rude, condescending bedside manner. He became very rushed and irritable whenever we came for any routine visits or sick visits. These people are quick to collect your money but want to give less than poor service. There are plenty of other pediatricians that will not overlook any health issues your child has and whom are more knowledgeable and actually caring. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Have been taking our kids here for years, it's true that the office staff was horrendous a few years ago, I don't doubt that the negative reviews from then are genuine based on our experiences at that time; HOWEVER, Pediatric Medical Associates has since turned over their office staff with an entirely new team of very friendly, welcoming, and common sense people who echo the caring environment of when we first started taking our kids here. They are so kind, helpful, and delightful. I can't speak for any of the doctors other than Dr. Saba, and he is a hero. He has given his expertise to the community for decades to assist in the healthy rearing of countless children. Dr. Sietter is hands down the BEST pediatrician. My husband and I are so incredibly happy we found him 3 years ago! He's amazing with my 2 boys and always reassures me, as a new mom, that I'm doing great. Dr. Seitter is rude to his staff and his patients. I called the office to let them know I would be a little late due to work and traffic and they said as long as I was here in 15 min they could make it work. I arrived right at the 15 min mark and his office staff asked him and he flat out said no. Kind of ironic when he made us wait 45 min to be seen last time and watched him yell at a staff member. Dr. Seitter has been our pediatrician since we moved to Mesa in 2003. Our daughter was pre term so I was stressed that I had to change pediatricians. I quickly relaxed once meeting Dr.Seitter. He is the most knowledgeable, caring doctor I have ever met. When our son was born, Dr.Seitter came to the hospital to check on him. Our son is now 17 and Dr. Seitter has been there the whole way with our children. I used to come to office visits with a list of nervous mom questions, Dr. Seitter would go over each one with thorough answers, never making me feel like my questions were silly. I've never felt rushed with our visits and his nurse Kelly is so very gentle with shots and blood draws. They are excellent at getting us in for a sick visit same day and giving quick test results! Anytime our kids have been sick Dr. Seitter always finds the cause and gets them back on a healthy track quickly! I recently told Dr. Seitter, I'm going to be so sad when our son ages out from his office. We truly feel like family there. Sadly we are moving away and won't be continuing care there but definitely feel confident in recommending establishing care for your littles there. After our final visit, I took to Google reviews to warn other mothers especially first time mothers to stay clear from a pediatrician who can not even call you or your children by their name and do not provide any sort of comfortability or reassurance as a mother. My wife just got back from my 4-year-old's yearly checkup. We chose Dr. Iorio based on recommendations from a neighborhood group, as we just recently moved into this part of the valley. She did not have a great experience. Dr. Iorio was super abrupt and condescending. The office treated my little girl like she either wasn't there, or was doing something wrong because, being 4, she took a while to take off and put on her shoes. They didn't even give us her growth chart or percentiles or anything that our previous pediatrician gave us. I am quite unhappy that this doctor and office made my wife feel like crap, and didn't treat my little girl with love and care. She's been excited for her doctor visit for some time, even playing with a little play doctor kit at home, and to have a pediatrician treat her poorly is not cool in the least. This is the first and last time our little girl will be going to this doctor. read more

Thoroughly impressed with how this office always makes time for us (even same day appointments) and never has terrible wait times. All three of my children have been seen by Dr Seitter since they were born (oldest 10 years old). Dr. Seitter is always thorough, answers all of my many questions no matter how silly, and takes the time to listen to my children's concerns. My kids ask a lot of questions and he always answers patiently and thoroughly. In the singular event that we needed to be seen on a day Dr Seitter was out, we saw Dr Saba who was equally amazing and attentive to my children. The nurse Kelly is always sweet and my kids love her even though she gives the shots. Cannot recommend this office enough. We would never see another pediatrician. read more

Ever since our first child was born we've been seeing Dr. Seitter at Pediatric Medical Associates and have been so appreciative of the knowledge, care and service that we've received. Dr. Seitter is incredibly helpful and will answer even what seems to be the silliest of questions. The staff have equally been as helpful and gracious, especially when we have had to get shots for our little one! In addition, the facilities are always clean and we never have had to wait too long to get in for an appointment (we've even gotten in same day with Dr. Seitter, when we had a potential concern about our child). We first starting seeing Dr. Seitter when our daughter was born, he was a referral from my sister as her two sons also see him. He has been a wonderful doctor to her and our younger son as well. He's extremely knowledgeable and kind to us and our kids. And has a great sense of humor as well! He's thoughtful in each diagnosis and doesn't rush to throw prescribed medication at everything. Kelly is really good as well, since she's the one that does all the 'pokes' as we call them she most times gets the tears but she makes it precise and quick to limit the awaiting anxiety that comes with getting a shot for kids. We have been taking my son here for three years so it was only natural that we take our second one as well, the care we receive has been amazing, quick and to the point, the doctors take the time to answer all our questions when we ask. Every time we call on a Monday to get out children in they have an opening same day and even though we call first thing when they open like every other parent does the wait time is not bad considering the volume of calls they get the first business day after a weekend. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I unfortunately had to come during my sons scheduled nap time due to them being booked our for weeks. I showed up 10 minutes before my appointment and they had me waiting for over 30 minutes PASSED my sons scheduled appointment time. 40 minutes in the waiting room. Multiple people who showed up AFTER us, got called back before us. Meanwhile, my son is having a meltdown due to being tired. You would think the staff here understood and would try to get us out as quickly as possible so I could get him home, but instead they would rather us wait, and my let my son scream his lungs out before helping speed up his appointment. Staff lies and doesn't actually tell Dr. When you call in and tell them your child has a high fever. On Tuesday my daughter came home with a fever of 101.8, we gave her Tylenol and it went down right away so we continued to monitor. Wednesday it went up to 105 so we called pediatric medical and told them what was going on. 6 hours later they called back stating Dr. Saba said to alternate Tylenol and Motrin and if it gets to 104 take her to urgent care. Fast forward to Friday she has still had a fever between 101-102ish that goes down with medicine. I called again to get in to see Dr Saba before the weekend as something is clearly not right. I was told to come in at 10:45 (which I was 5 minutes early) I sat in the waiting room for 63 minutes listening to the front desk staff complain about patients parents, how annoying it is when parents cancel appointments, give attitudes to the three other families before me that asked about the wait time being so long.I finally walked to the front desk to ask how much longer the wait would be. The short haired staff member completely blew me off then started talking to another person that walked in and blew me off again so I just yelled across the office that I had been waiting over an hour past my appointment with a sick toddler and how much longer would the wait be to which she responded she had "misplaced" my child's chart and then suddenly someone else claimed she had been calling my name for 10 minutes. I was literally sitting right next to the door where they call names and no one had walked in in over 15 minutes. Only people leaving! Finally get into the room and a student gets dropped off with no other information other than her name and starts poking thing in my daughters ears and mouth making her upset of course then says Dr Saba will be in to do the exact same thing ha basically? Why torture a sick toddler more than necessary? When Dr. Saba came in he in fact did the same things and a few others asked about her fever and when I told him it was 105 and I called and they told me that he said to give Tylenol but nothing about coming in he seemed shocked and said "they must not have told me because I definitely would have said to come in" Thankfully I trusted my gut and insisted I come in because even when I called and said I was told if she wasn't better by Friday to come in they still tried to tell me to just give her Tylenol. I like Dr. Saba but not enough to trust his horrible, rude, incompetent staff with the health of my child. We will not be returning to pediatric medical associates read more

The people who were worth coming to this practice are long gone. NO one is personal. NO one is friendly or tries to make your kids feel at ease especially Dr Iorio. They rush you in and out without even saying hello. I've waited on hold multiple times from 10-20 minutes to make an appointment just to be told there are none. Ive called and left voicemails that haven't been answered til the end of the day. I've been told I'm better off going to urgent care and made felt like sick kids are my fault. Rachel was the only caring PA here and she is gone. Don't settle for anyone who won't listen to you or make your kids feel at ease. read more

I was referred to Pediatric Medical Associates by my Obstetrician when I was pregnant with my first child. She had a list of only two physician groups she referred her patients to, based on quality and experience. Dr. Seitter was already on my list when I was deciding on a pediatrician, and her referral helped finalize my decision. My sister's children, who are now adults went to Dr. Setter and my niece now takes her infant son to him. My nephew was working at a restaurant and he was Dr. Seitter's server one night. Well, he was also a former patient and Dr. Seitter left him an extremely gracious tip. In addition, to being an amazing pediatrician, he is a kind soul. I've been a nurse for many years and am very particular when choosing healthcare providers. Dr. Seitter is a top Doctor and will always do what's best for your children. He is simply one of the best! He cares about his patients and directs their care as if they were his own family. I'm a nurse so I typically will research my own specialists prior to getting the recommended referral and every time he's referred us to the same doctors and I've never had to ask to go somewhere else or tell him I already looked that physician up. I know longer feel the need to do this. Dr. Seitter has only referred us to top doctors when my children needed a specialist. He understood my new parent anxiety and answered and explained any questions I had about vaccines. He also was supportive and helped me space out immunizations. I've never had an issue getting a same day appointment when my children are sick and they have office hours on Saturday! He diagnosed my son as an infant with an uncommon birth defect and was spot on with the diagnosis and outcome. I completely trust him and am grateful to have found him. He takes the time to explain things and answer questions. I also liked that this group of physicians will see your newborn in the hospital after birth and I believe they are one of only two practices that do this. I like the continuity of care that healthcare has lost in this day and age. I've also seen all of the other care providers and if I can't see Seitter I'm happy to see anyone in the office. I believe my family is fortunate to have found Pediatric medical associates and Dr. Seitter. I recommend establishing care with this group if they're taking new patients. read more

I've been taking my 2 children to Dr Irorio for over 8 years (since birth). I like how he's direct with information and quick in the exam room. His blonde nurse has always been a little cold shouldered but she's never been rude to us. The office staff is willing to work with different types of insurance, lack of insurance, and payment situations. It's helpful that there are many doctors and a RNP in the building, making it easier to get a short notice appointment. The location of the office is also convenient for us. read more

I would give LESS if I could! We chose Dr Iorio for our 4 yr old son after having just relocated from Florida. I knew it was a slight gamble based upon reviews, but I was prepared for battle when I went in since reviews had noted his crappy bedside manner, but again he had a lot of experience, etc. so we took the chance... No idea what we were talking about, but nothing even remotely close to where it would have been appropriate for him to make comments such as "Obama Care this Obama Care that" with a negative connotation.. I was shocked to say the least - not by his opinions, but the fact that it was 110% unwarranted and unprofessional!.. There is a girl with blonde hair that administers shots/takes blood - BEWARE!!!!!!! This girl COMPLETELY traumatized my son while getting his annual shots. He has NEVER had any issues with shots and this girl had ME in tears she was so awful! THEN he had a reaction to the chicken pox vaccine - no big deal, but when I go back the following week to make sure because he had a strong reaction to it - automatically say oh no! Blah Blah Blah, but it CLEARLY was... but forced my son to endure another round of trauma from the same girl! I hate being a picky person and like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but they wanted to run a full panel of blood tests on him... He recognized her and was still trusting ME for it to be ok and it was WORSE the second time with them threatening to send him to the hospital if we didnt get the blood drawn.. At one point this girl tried to STRADDLE my son to get him still enough and I LOST it at that point and demanded someone else... Everyone else was great minus those 2! read more

Our children's doctor was awesome even though we saw him about 5 minutes at most per visit. Whereas their nurses and front office people are the most rude and disgruntled employees I have ever seen. I don't understand how they could treat children so poorly. They could at least smile, but they look so mad all the time. The front office workers were the worst. We had issues with billing and insurance but that was all taken care of but they continually send notices that the bill will go to collections. This office should really analyze their front office and see why patients are leaving. We won't be going back. read more

I saw Dr. Iorio and he acted as if I was such an idiot (I'm a new mom and had a lot of questions) very uncalled for! He literally walked out of the room while I was in the middle of saying something to him! I had to call and make a payment and The woman Jay who is over the billing department was so unbelievably rude on the phone it took everything in me not to freak out at her over the phone! I like the doctors here but the wait to see the doctor or PA for a sick or well visit is just ridiculous. I brought my sick baby in and waited 45 minutes with a crying a child for the doctor to see my child. Last time we were in for a well visit waited 40 minutes only to spend maybe 3 minutes with the doctor. Not okay to make parents and small children wait excessive amounts of time. read more

We started going to this office from the time my son was born until he was about 18 months old. I am SO thankful we don't go here anymore, what a difference! Dr Lorio did our sons circumcision and first visit bc our chosen doctor, Dr Saba had a family emergency. Dr Lorio shouldn't be around new mothers or children he's extremely rude and unfriendly. Rushed me through my questions and was extremely condescending. He gave us zero after care instructions which lead to my son getting such bad adhesions that we had to have them surgically cut at PCH. Dr Saba is a nice man but I honestly felt like we were strangers every time we came in, he never went over any milestones, discussed his growth chart or anything with us, it was a very rushed 5 mins with him ( which was frustrating after frequently experiencing long wait times 40+ min ) Each visit he would ask me the same three questions about if we had a pool, pets, or stairs at home. As a first time mom I was hoping for more guidance on milestones etc. His nurses and office staff were cold and unfriendly and referred to my son as a girl at each visit even though I spoke up each time about it. I even asked them to make a note on his chart to refer to him as a boy bc I wanted to make sure that they had the correct patient chart and for 18 months they couldn't get it right (my son was always dressed very boyish btw no room for confusion) The final straw was when my son had a high fever for days on end and i was pregnant and sick as well. We saw their PA ( who was a wonderful breath of fresh air and so friendly and personable) We had already waited 40 min before being seen, then she wanted to run some tests to determine the cause of the fever one of which was collecting a urine sample ( from an 18 month old this is challenging) it either requires a catheter which we weren't going to do as he had already had blood work done and was so upset from being poked. Option b was a bag that is attached to the child with adhesive and you wait for them to fill the bag. The nurse who took his blood and who attached the bag was a miserable, unfriendly woman. She has the worst bedside manner especially for a sick scared toddler who was being poked and prodded. She put the bag on and left with no follow up. We waited 30 min inside the room before another nurse came in ( at this point we had been there almost 2 hours ) she wasn't coming to check on us just to get supplies out of the room we were occupying, I told her it had been awhile since we had been checked on and asked if she could send someone in. Waited 20 more minutes before going into the hall and asking another nurse to send our PA or nurse back in.... wait 15 more minutes in the room before packing outlet stuff and heading out to leave, I was done. As I went to let the front desk know we would be leaving and not to charge us for a urine sample bc no one ever came back to collect it they finally got the nurse back to see me. I was visibly upset, fighting back tears after trying to entertain a sick toddler for 2 hours and 45 min at the doctors office, the nurse took zero ownership over forgetting about us in the room, showed no signs of being apologetic at all ( meanwhile the PA was very sweet and apologetic, admitted they were overbooked and had forgotten about us at the end of the Hall ) That nurse was my tipping point, I never stepped foot in that place again. We have since found a wonderful pediatrician whose staff is beyond friendly. I wish I would have trusted my gut earlier and switched. If you want to be treated like a number go here, honestly our veterinarian remembers more about our kids than Dr Saba and his staff did. read more
