I get my nails done at Aqua Nails at least twice a month. All of the technicians that I have gotten service from do very good work. Lucky and Betty are my favorites. I recently got micro bladed eyebrows from Lucky. I'm very happy with the service and the results. All of the employees at Aqua provide excellent customer service. read more

Never one to complain, but....Literally the worst set of French Nails I have ever received in my entire life! Even told her that they were uneven and didn't look good and nothing was done to correct it. White tips were so uneven with paint. Very pleased with my pedicure! that was fantastic, but save yourself a headache and don't get a manicure. at least french cause they're awful. SO uneven didn't even put a full thing of clearcoat across the nails and you can very much tell in the sun. You can see all the lines left over from the nail file. Usually go to the Belcher location (they're great) and I'm so upset at myself that I chose to go to the Gulf to Bay location this time. Will never make that mistake again!!! What a waste of money. Why is it so hard to find a good nail salon in Clearwater area?! Not all techs are equal. This salon may be ok but there should not be a big difference between techs. Walk in for a regular pedicure. Man at counter was quick to get me scheduled and friendly. The color wall for regular colors is very disorganized and lot of bottles old and dried up. He was helpful still to help me find one I wanted. My nail tech was Yen. As I am watching other techs with their clients, realized it was not a salon issue. This was the tech. It was like her first pedicure. Hardly pushed cuticles back, I had to ask her to file a couple rough edges and my heels more and buff nails. I look forward to the calf and foot massage and this was ...meh. Classic pedi was $32. I may give the salon another try but request a different tech. read more

I really don't like giving 1-star reviews. My review history is a testament to that. But I left with one of the worst manicures and pedicures I've ever gotten... and it wasn't like it was rushed, because I was in that salon for over three hours. Started with the pedicure, and my technician asked what color I wanted. I hadn't had the chance to look at the wall so I looked at their gel colors since I was doing that for my nails and showed her the purple color I wanted from there and asked her to find a matching (or close) regular polish for my toes. Just to give you and idea of where this is headed, my toenails are jet black. It's not even remotely close. The pedicure (I chose the milk and honey one) took FOREVER. Granted, I really enjoyed the foot/calf massage, don't get me wrong (it was the one thing she was really good at)... but I had other plans for the day that ended up getting shot. When she finally started to paint my toenails, I could see this wasn't going well. Even from my vantage point, I could see bubbles in the polish, and it looked lumpy. I asked her to fix them, and she did somewhat, but she just wasn't very good at painting nails. By the time I got up to do the manicure, over an hour and a half had gone by on just the pedicure. I had gotten to the salon at 3:30, and it was about 5:10. I had higher hopes for the gel polish, but those were quickly dashed. Besides the color not matching at all, she just wasn't very good at painting fingernails either, it turned out. Again I saw bubbles and streaking in the polish. She applied the top coat extremely unevenly so there are gaps all over them. And even this took well over an hour. All in all, I was stuck in this salon for THREE HOURS. Mind you, I had plans at 6:15 and thought getting started at 3:30 would've given me plenty of time. It SHOULD have. But I truthfully could've done a better job at home in half the time. I'd like to believe this was a fluke and that my experience was a total aberration compared to all the glowing reviews. Even so, I won't be back to find out. read more

I first visited this salon several months ago after a long hiatus from getting pedicures because of COVID. I was very pleased by their appt. protocol and cleanliness of their salon. I have been back several times now. My nail technician Val is thorough and friendly. The salon services are very reasonable and offer a variety of pedicure treatments. You can also sign up for a frequent customer reward program. The nice thing is they electronically keep track of it for you. ( We are still new to this area ) First time I went there this girl did great! Second time I went there this lady didn't do a good job at all. Parking is easy. Interior: the decor is cute. It feels like a cozy upscale spa instead of the usual strip mall nail salon. Sanitation: very clean. Place does not smell like chemicals. Foot basin is lined with plastic that is changed after each client. Technicians wear gloves. New pack of tools are used for each client; they rip off the packing in front of you. Service: Minh does an excellent job on my pedicure. He does a thorough job especially fixing my ingrown toenails. Honestly, I probably would just come here to get my nails trimmed and don't really care about the color. T.T. Is the manicure specialist. She does an amazing job on gel manicures. Beautiful inside, very classy Very friendly male who answers the phone & I think runs the salon I made an appointment because they seemed really busy Leann was my girl for a pedi & a gel or no chip manicure. I do not get my nails done often and to have to worry about not having a clean experience after another salon gave me a nail infection is just not okay. Dang! Another one bites the dust. After checking yelp reviews and hours of operation and confirming walk-ins are accepted , I arrived at 6 PM on Friday evening. They advertised closing at 7:30 PM. Upon arriving I was told they could do my pedicure but they can't do my manicure. Furthermore they advised me that due to Covid and CDC regulations they Technically allow walk-ins, but they must put them down as an appointment when you enter, so technically they don't allow walk-ins. So the gentleman at the reception desk was trying to explain to me why walk-ins werent acceptable even though it was still advertised as such on Yelp. Not sure if they are trying to still attract service by saying walk-ins are acceptable, but whatever the case is, I've been disappointed by another nail shop. He was insistent that they could do the pedicure, however I don't want to go to two separate locations on two separate days to get the two services. It was pretty inside, but certainly can't tell you how the services were, since they were denied an hour and a half before closing. Attention management if you're reading this review, it would be advisable to describe your last walk in time acceptable. I made an appointment for 6:30 for a dip removal and manicure no polish. i was not seated until 7:00 where one nail tech started the process and another finished it. the second nail tech was rude and didn't even say hello, she proceeded to shape my nails into small almonds and cut them shorter than my actual nail bed. They still charged me for the whole disaster and ruined my once long square natural nails. I also got a lousy $2 coupon for my troubles. read more

This is definitely the best nail place I've ever had. I've been going here about two years and have never been disappointed. Every technician I've tried here has been great, and I've never been to a nail salon that has such friendly techs who will talk to you and actually care about what you're telling them. I've added a bunch of pictures of designs I've gotten here because they're just that good. They're super responsive to feedback and will stay there and do things over until you get exactly what you want. The prices are reasonable and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I made that mistake once when they were busy and I literally left the other place and came back here so they could fix it and I left with an amazing ombré French design. I read the reviews on yelp and thought for my 21st i want to pamper myself. This place was perfect for that. This place is a bit pricey for monthly upkeep. I think you are paying more for the experience. The massages were very nice. The girls are amazing. They keep you entertained, I got the whole place singing happy birthday to me, and they all speak good english which is a plus for me. Its hard to hold a conversation with someone your working with for a long period of time that they cant understand you or you cant understand them. They do amazing designs here. I think the best designs in the area. They have lots of patients and will help you with anything u need. If you have lots of time to enjoy yourself and just relax you have to go.
