If I could give negative stars I would. OVERPRICED and poor quality! This was my second and last visit. I wasn't happy with the service the first time decided to give them a second chance since they were recommended. The first time I went there was 11/19, I treated myself to a pedicure, gel manicure (with tips because not all my natural nails were the same length), brow wax and tint. The cost $145! The pedicure was okay, the gel manicure was okay, she cut the nails on my right hand shorter than the left, and left the nails too long. And she left my nails too long, I went back a week later to have the nails trimmed. Second visit, the pedicure was okay, my toenails were cut uneven and angled (I decided I wasn't coming back). The the gel manicure. I asked for a trim, so the tips were off. She cut the right hand too short, again! My nails were about a 1/2 inch long (from the tips of my fingers) when I left they were barely past my finger tips. (No way I was going to come back!) The came the bill $102.00!!! That's right, they charged me $72, for a gel manicure because they cut my cuticles. ARE THE KIDDING??? I've been getting gel manicure for years and no one has every charged me for a "manicure" with the gel. The only difference between a manicure and a gel manicure is the type of polish used. Google it. "A manicure is a beauty treatment of the hands. Your nails will be cut, filed, and shaped. You will then have your cuticles pushed back and tidied, and then enjoy a hand massage. These ladies are definitely the best I've come across in Clearwater Tampa area. I've gone to many other nail salons in Tampa and none of them know how to do proper stiletto nails. I contacted Tammy for an appointment for a fill and pedicure last minute and was able to accommodate me. When I arrived at the location there was plenty of parking which is always a plus. As I walked into the salon I notice the friendly staff and spotless salon. I was immediately seated for a pedicure. Tammy assured me that I'm about to receive the best pedicure, which I did. I had the Gelly Pedicure and it was amazing!!!! My feet and toes were perfectly pedicured. Tammy then educated me on the positives of switching from acrylic to Bio Sculpture Gels, I decided to do it and was not let down. I was there approximately 2 hours for both services. Seriously, haven't we all been to a thousand nail salons. Some are okay, some are good, a few are awful. Nothing makes me stick around like being recommended an excellent product that actually holds up to its claim. The first time I came in to have my gel nails redone, Tammy recommended the Bio-gel nails. It's a nail enhancement product different to dip nails and acrylics in that it bonds gently to your natural nail. I had NO lifting, peeling, or chipping of any kind. I am HARD my nails (hairdresser here) and regularly get about 10 days in a set of enhancements. Tammy told me bio-gels will not catch in your hair, ALSO I can have come in for a simple polish change at 2-3 weeks before having a fill. Sold, but skeptical. Let me tell you, absolutely true. I will never have any other manicure. This place is a gem in a minefield of nail salons. I can walk here from my house and everyone is super nice. Thank you Tammy!!!! read more

ABSOLUTELY WORST SERVICE!!! Buyer beware and stay away. They say they take walk-ins and even advertise it big with a sign in front of the store, but they will push you away if you do not have any Appointment. The manager pushed me away and told me to come back in the morning because she was "too busy". (Mind you when I walked in on 3/4/22 at 12:30pm, no one was there, and she was getting a foot massage from one of the other techs!!!) I figured, okay I'll come back in the morning as she stated. I came back again this morning 3/5/22, right at opening time, and she again was sitting on a massage chairs with 1 tech working on a customer, and again she pushed me away stating she is too Busy to take me! And mind you, another male tech was there and available! The manager stated the next Client wasn't expected to arrive for another 20 minutes, so I tried to negotiate with her by asking for a quick color change instead and she shouted "No, Go!" The way she shouted "No Go" while pointing her finger at the door at me made me feel like she was throwing me out like a dog. The owner here is super rude and belittled me in front of the entire store for changing my nail color. She then mocked me and questioned me over and over asking if I was okay with the new color because she wouldn't be changing it again. Wanted to buy a gift certificate for a Christmas gift. She said it would be $25, slid my card. I go to sign, and it's $28. She then states, "its a $3 charge for a gift certificate." I then told her to cancel it, I would rather not buy. She immediately took away the $3 charge. I went to Lavish Nails & Spa because I had been to all of the others on Gulf to Bay Blvd between US 19 and McMullen Booth Road and was fed up with the shoddy service I received at those places. I was in need of a gel manicure and decided to try Lavish nails. I am so glad I did. Tammy the proprietor is very friendly and welcoming. It's obvious she takes great pride in the service she performs and also in keeping her salon clean and tidy. My daughter and I have been loyal customers for some time now.The last few visits have been horrible but I've still been going because Tammy does a good job on my nails.I get the same exact thing every time which is the color acrylic I just change colors.Every time my price is different (it keeps going up)50,55,60,65.I got a full set paying $65.I called made an appointment with Tammy. In a word - AWESOME!!! I went in for my every-other-weekly gel manicure, and the owner told me about Bio-Gel Nails. They are incredible! I would already recommend this place to anyone, but now I must INSIST that you go the Lavish Nails and Spa so you can get Bio-Gel Nails. They aren't available anywhere else. They are a teensy bit more expensive, but for something that's all natural with no chemicals, they are totally worth it. I love coming here.Everyone is very friendly.I have had my nails done at other places but this is the first place in which the artificial nalis did not hurt or lift. Nor has the technician I use ever accidently hurt me. This is very important. Yes, I have been to other places where the techs have filed too close to my skin and cut me. Just got my nails done and she did an amazing job. They changed ownership and it was absolutely amazing. Super happy would definitely recommend!!! I found my new nail spot yay! Ok so follow up I've been back like 4 or 5 times and each got worse and worse. She starts great and then starts nickel and dimming you. She makes up her prices depending on how much your spending that day. I've been charged all different prices and I truly believe it's based on how much she's getting out of me that day. Her demeanor got less and less pleasant. Then she made up some excuse to not do my nails one time just to lass me off to a new man she has working there. He was not good either.
