I have been a loyal client at LaVang Nail Spa for almost three years, but my most recent visit was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had. (I used to bring my mother there as well as she lived the pampering treatment...unfortunately she recently passed away.) The behavior of the owner, Kim, was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I had an appointment for a manicure and pedicure and clearly told Kim I needed to leave shortly after 2 PM. Despite this, she insisted she could complete both services. As the appointment progressed, it became clear that we would not finish in time and I subtly reminded Kim that we were running short on time. Kim then had her daughter assist by working on my feet while Kim did my hands. During this time, they spoke in their own language right in front of me, including comments about my nails and scars on my feet, which I found extremely rude and disrespectful. The polish I initially chose did not provide full coverage (how would I know this, they are the nail professionals they should've let me know that prior to applying the polish). When I requested a different color, Kim's daughter located a slightly darker shade of blue polish and applied it on top of the first coat, creating excessively thick nails that looked unnatural and unappealing (like chiclet's). My hands were also poorly finished, with uneven sparkles and ridges, and Kim blamed me for "rushing" her. The following day, I called to have the issues corrected. Kim was friendly and initially agreed to fix my nails but then rescheduled a few times, each with delays and tense interactions, when I arrived for my 3 o'clock appointment, I had to wait 40 minutes while she finished with the customer she was working on. I'll also add that while I was waiting, she spoke in a low voice to that customer, letting that customer know that I rushed her a few days ago and that's why she had to redo my nails, I guess she thought I couldn't hear her, but I heard her very loud and clear!!! When she finally redid my nails, she displayed clear frustration and made me feel unwelcome and belittled. By the end of the second visit, she refused to address my thick, poor-quality pedicure, sending me home dissatisfied. While I was waiting for my ride to pick me up, Kim began working on the next customer which was a 12 year old girl and to sum it up Kim did not finish her nails the way the mother had asked for them to be done, the girl was not happy and quite upset. Then Kim began with her unprofessional behaviour and started talking about the customers in her own language and then said "I will take it off if you don't like" , having her "a little 5 year old temper tantrum". In conclusion, my nails started chipping and bending within two days due to the poor quality and workmanship--and I now have to get them redone elsewhere. Additionally, Kim's daughter was rude and unprofessional, and I witnessed her treating other clients inappropriately. This experience was deeply disappointing, especially after years of loyalty to this salon. I strongly urge (You) management to address these serious issues with yourself and the staff's (primarily the owner's daughter) lack of professionalism, communication (English), and service quality so that future clients do not endure the same disrespectful and substandard experience. read more

LaVang nails is my go-to nail salon. I've been a consistent customer for about three years. I actually live in Miami right now, but I drive to Largo every time I need my nails done! It's always really clean and super cute inside (probably great for a small party?) Everyone in here is so kind, patient, and talented. They have a full selection of colors to choose from and can accommodate specific designs. The staff are incredibly attentive. I've never left feeling disappointed, and although I'm definitely picky about nail shape and color, I've RARELY ever had to say anything because the nail techs are detail-oriented. It was my first time here and i wanted an acrylic fill. And they first of all pushed my appointment back 15 minutes and it was supposed to start a 5:00 pm and end at 6:30 but it went until 8:30!!! It started with the normal filing of the old color and gel and they kept nicking my finger with the drill and when I confronted them they said ok and then did it again (my finger was bleeding).Then they switched me with someone else and the said my nails were lifting and when I said no they aren't she took the thin part of the acrylic and started picking it off and she got to my middle finger and completely took it off. She added the new tip and I did not get expected to be charged for the repair sense she ripped it off. She does the acrylic and shapes if for a very long time and kept pulling my arm when I would try to get comfy. Then I got switched to the same guy that made my fingers bleed and he did my gel there were hairs it it gel was one my fingers and It burnt. But was really weird it that the vibe was off like they would not look at me talk to me or ask me if I liked them. finally it was time to pay and I was charged $70.00 for what was supposed to be a fill and when I asked them why it was that much she said the repair and the amount of time it took...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! read more
