When I left Bay nails, with the exception of having two people working on me at the same time (one on hands and one on feet) which I was not thrilled about, my mani and pedi looked good. Within two days, the polish was chipping off. I watched the woman doing my hands put thinner:/acetone in the polish bottle. That degrades the polish. Sure enough in one week my toenail polish started coming off too and now there are dark spots on my toenails underneath the nail. I will never go back and do not recommend! read more

The quality of the polish work is sub par. They do not go the entire nail. They leave exposed nail strips showing on the sides repeatedly. Especially the older short hair main person who takes over during the pedicure and works simultanously. The pedi is great but I am going elsewhere to get better quality mani and color. read more

I've been frequenting Bay Nails for a year now. It took me about 3 visits to find Tina and now I always ask for Tina. She is kind, thorough, and I've never had an issue with toenail regrowth with her pedicures. She actually massages your feet and calves too! Her gel manicures last up to 3 weeks. I found the Bay Nail spa while riding through on my way to the beach and I wish they were closer to my house. I enjoyed my experience with these ladies. The spa was spacious and clean. I was attended immediately and got the athlete pedicure, which included a great massage on my legs. The staff was friendly and I was offered water during my mani/pedi. They have color matched nail polish so it takes the guess work out of your coordination but also prevents you from picking personalized colors. I got a traditional mani/pedi, so I can't speak to their gel service, which seems like their specialty. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

I spent $24 for a regular manicure with 2 coats of clear polish, telling the manicurist that I needed my nails looking good for a photo shoot of my hands. The next day, I woke up with half the polish peeling off and my cutical cut and in pain. I was embarrased and lucky that I wasn't sent home because I'm a model. She cut them too short as well. I immediately went to the salon the next day and showed my nails to the manager who was giving me, a repeat customer, excuses--most people get gel, was it our polish? She wanted to "fix" them but I didn't have time and didn't offer even their $5 gift certificate. She had a horrible attitude, no apology and was rigid and totally unempathetic. I was running late to my appointment and three of the girls stayed late just to do a manicure and pedicure on me and a pedicure on my mom. Dip manicure was not good; Removal of previous dip ok, no cleaning (when asked twice ;full manicure), drill and filed nails more then needed (when brought to attention first denied then admitted and fix with more dip over area) lump and bulky application, no smoothing of dip after application. She is warm and friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. She pays close attention to detail and makes sure you are comfortable and pleased with your service. I am giving this salon a star because of Ruby (nail designs) and Tracy (amazing massage with pedicures). However, management could care less about their customers and after three strikes with pre-booked appointments and no effort on management's part to correct or apologize I finally had to give up. When I've been a customer for over a year, prebook an appointment, come in and choose my color, sit to wait and am told I have no appointment and am then shown the appointment book to 'prove that I am wrong', that was the final straw. Previously I had booked appointments for my usual gel mani with pedi and had to rebook and return for one or the other twice due to 'misunderstandings'. The only misunderstanding is on the salon's part for believing that their customers' time is of no value and that they have no options. read more

Literally just left the salon and I want to cry. I called and made an appointment for 1:30. And when I walked in no one greeted me and there was only one customer there. I got gel on my toes and she did a horrible job. I got a full set of acrylics. I told her I wanted bubble bath and I want my nails almond shape and thin and natural looking. She literally took two hours on my nails and I can tell I already didn't like it. The acrylic is on the side of my nails and it was hurting, I told her and she said she'll fix it. She didn't. After sitting there for two hours And you can clearly tell I wasn't happy. I called my boyfriend and told him I was almost done and she started to rush. She started to put the gel base on and it was just rushed and sloppy. And there was another nail tech waiting to paint my nails. She didn't say one word to me. She painted one nail and I can tell it's not the color I asked for and she huff and puffed and at that point, I didn't even wanna continue with the service. I'm sure the manager was there but she was working on someone but you're in charge and you should really check on your clients. Especially knowing that I walked out of there not satisfied. read more

The last time, I was clearly not happy with my nails and the lady just let me walk out. No discount, no offer to re-do them. I have tried to give this place a chance 3 separate times. I gave it one star because it is clean and new. The first time I went I was pretty satisfied and didn't have an issue. The second time I went the lady cut my toe with the grinder and it kept bleeding. She kept saying " no big deal" but everything she put on it stung. The third time I went I took my mother. We both got our nails done by ladies who could not understand what we were saying. We asked for the basic pedicure and they started doing the expensive pedicure treatment. Then my toe got cut again! I've been here multiple times and lately it's been a hit or miss. I made an appointment not with anyone in particular however, was very happy with the first part of my appt. Tracey is amazing with pedicures and massages! Very meticulous and took her time. Absolutely loved her work. However, the second part of my appt I got a new person for a gel manicure.The gel manicure was pretty terrible. It took forever and for no good reason. I could tell that the manicurist was new. The shape was all uneven, barely any work was done on my cuticles and the gel was not evenly distributed on my nails. I actually had gel polish debris on my skin when I left the salon. She did not even bother to check on it. My advice for the owner is if you're going to put new manicurists out on the floor make sure they are being supervised by experienced ones. It wasn't super busy when I got in. Customers shouldn't be acting as training hand models when they are paying for full- service. read more

I've never had a worse experience at a salon. The nail tech assisting me, "Quin" or "Quyen" was extremely rude. She made my experience so unpleasant. She spent the first half of my visit trying to convince me to do dip instead of gel. Once I stated i'll do gel like I usually do she made several remarks on how her clients usually all do dip. I felt pretty uncomfortable at this point & stated maybe next time I will try it. She had an attitude throughout my visit & to make things worse she told me "next time someone else can do your nails because yours take me too long to do". I was getting just basic gel french tip nails, no design or anything. Lastly, she got up without saying anything before finishing my nails, had another girl finish & went to help another client. I'm just very confused by the whole thing. I never once was rude or said anything. I came to this salon because it was recommended to me but left very unhappy and confused. I paid in full & even left a tip. Not to mention my nails were done pretty sloppy & one nail chipped 2 days later. Save your money & go somewhere the nail techs are happy to assist you. read more
