The nail tech was nice the reason for the two stars. I went 3 times, nails never lasted 2 weeks. Broken nails and a lifted nail every time. I have been going to one nail tech for over 10 years, my nails last 3-4 weeks with no issues. He always listens to me and never makes me feel weird for my color or design choices like I've experienced other places. I went there with my mom and not even a simple French tip and the lady couldn't even draw a proper heart. When she was putting on the acrylics she cut my cuticles to far down and now they hurt, they were so rude yelling at my mom for no reason! Only one lady does nail well. Unfortunately, I forget her name (maybe Nancy). The one who talks to customers, idk manager or owner, sounds very unpleasant. She is very snappy and mean to the other girls if they have people requesting them. She is the boss so she thinks special requests should only go to her, but she is not better than them. I was seating there and waiting, but left without saying a word to them. The tech I wanted to do my nails is not even available. I was there and hear nothing but people asking to have things fixed. I can find better service and customer service elsewhere. I'm bringing you my business what is the matter with the tone of your voice? Idk how they are still in business. This lady is always rushing people and she is rude to customers who are not her customers or who request other people. I doubt this woman is the owner. I think she is trying to ruin this business to the ground. I really think they need to go. They are just taking people's money. They are in a good location and not enough people read Yelp. tldr: don't make an appointment here if you are pressed for time. I made an appointment for today during my lunch break expecting to be there for 30 minutes to an hour receiving a gel manicure. I came in to a pretty lukewarm greeting and to be asked if i was getting a completely different service than the one so requested over the phone (i wanted a gel mani and got asked if i wanted a dip mani and pedicure instead??). I arrived almost five minutes early and still waited for nearly 15 minutes. At this point, I decided to leave as I had received zero instruction other than where to sit and was left to wait for whenever they were finished with other clients. I expressed that I had waited too long and would not be able to stay to complete the service along with making it back to work on time. After expressing this, a woman repeatedly assured me that they would start now but she hadn't even started painting the toes of the woman in front of her. She wouldn't address my concerns or even apologize just kept repeating that we could just start now and they'd go quickly. I understand they may be short staffed or had a busy afternoon with the three clients in the salon but this experience put a bad taste in my mouth and i probably won't be back. I expected more communication about how long my appointment would be running over or if they even had the staff to properly assist me. I felt pretty ignored prior to speaking up and that my time was not valued. read more

To be honest I've been coming here for 6 years never had a complaint until last few months. Since new owner took over you can feel the tension in there. I really like the new owner. Very nice guy, but all the old girls are gone except a few. My nails have never been done so horribly until November until now, last time I went they put me in pedicure chair for over an hr and didn't even fill foot bath (I understand they are short handed but then tell people to make a appointment for later then) my sister and I were rushed through (and this was my Mother's Day pampering to myself which I didn't enjoy) that last time I had my eyebrows done they made me look like I was surprised or scared all the time. I drive all the way from Dunedin to have a girls day to go here with my mom and sister. I'm going to a new salon as of today, and the lady actually asked if I tried waxing my brows myself! I told her how I wanted them she said it's going to take a few sessions to get them back to what they were because I even have bald spots from last time I had them done. I go and get my nails done to relax and be pampered and to feel good about myself. Not to be rushed through and tensed up by time you leave. I had pedicure and fill in on 5/7/19 it's been a wk. my nails were trimmed no white added because of being rushed and I wanted them off (the pink and whites. I wanted just nail polish on my nails) and was talked out of it. He had my nails done in 20 mins. My pedicure: nail polish so thick it pushed back after I got home and it would cost more in gas to get it fixed. read more

I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. It was only after four days after getting a full gel set with the gel color that the polish chipped on four nails. As a professional, I can not be at work and look down to see missing polish! I pay for the higher price of gel so I can have nails that are professional and neat. I should have known when I went there and tried to explained what I wanted. I went to Concept Nails a few years ago but then tried a few other salons. I went back after they changed management because my daughter and her friends go there. Ann usually does my powder nails and does an awesome job. Also, have had some of the others do powder and they all do a good job. I like my the powder thin and Anne (& Vi) does a great job. I have been to many a nail shop and this is one of my favorites. The prices are very reasonable and I always leave with just what I wanted and feeling relaxed. I have never had a problem getting in even when I call at the last minute. Kim (the owner) is always friendly and very accommodating. Cyndi (my usual tech) is FABULOUS! And, one of the perks of this place is that the standard spa pedicure comes with hot stones massage. I love this part. Sure, they leave their Christmas lights up all year round and they could use some sprucing up in the décor department, but you couldn't find a place with a nicer staff that always tries to make you happy. Absolute worse salon I've ever been to. I went just to have a manicure with gel. The way she filed my nails was almost painful and her polish technique left much to be desired. My nails finally had a little length to them so I was very excited to do a bit of a bolder color. I picked red red. When I was done it was like the base was the color I picked but the tips of my nails were see through watery red. I would have complained and had them redone but honestly had endured enough. Both have done my nails and pedicures over the years, but I generally go to Kim. They have always been kind and considerate and I am always pleased with their work. I have been here a few times and kept returning because they are very friendly, I really started to notice on my last visit how this place is not clean, and now that I was cut very badly on my last visit, I am looking to go get checked out and hoping I don't have an infection in my toe. I am a very good tipper but feel rushed each time, I will not be returning. Standard procedure is to clean the pedicure tub for 10 mins, I watched them scrub it out for about 10 seconds then fill it up with water for a new customer. That is not sanitary at all. read more

My nails were about a week grown out so not too bad but the polish was chipped. I didn't have time for a fill on my lunch break but wanted a polish change to make them look better for work in the meantime. When I went to explain this I was interrupted and told to get a color. Then after I picked one and sat down she told me she would not change my color without doing a fill. Have never heard of this--will go elsewhere. read more
