The girls make you feel so at home. 20 years ago, a stylist in downtown NYC blade-cut my hair and it never looked that good again. I've asked for it before and I guess it's either a dated or awkward way to cut hair. Nicole understood and gave me that messy texture I've been looking for. I'm a mess and like my hair to match that mess. LOL. She nailed it. Point being, she listened and gave me what I wanted! Not Just a Haircut! This was a fantastic experience. I've been quarantining since March. It's like I don't even know my way around town anymore. Gonna get real with you for a second here, so bear with me. I've been so isolated, lonely, and depressed these last few months. I left that salon so elated. It sounds nuts, I know. But it's crazy how a haircut can lift your spirits and almost empower you. She did a brilliant job and took full note of my comments and what I was looking for during my visit. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, and even gifted me with some free samples since it was my fist visit. I love that this new location is on 4th Street, so it's really convenient to get to. If anyone in the area is looking for a new waxing spot, I highly recommend this one. :)

What I noticed, was the employee gossiping to the client about another client in a really bad way. She was talking about her getting pregnant and something about the father. I could tell that the client was not engaging.. The employee was, just very unprofessional, and it was almost like she was just trying to get a reaction out of the client and she kept repeating herself to the client. It was my turn next to do my eyebrows. When you're Threading, you normally ask your client to hold their own eyebrows up while they do the service.. she did not ask me to do that one time. She barely plucked a few hairs off of each eyebrow with the thread. And then she removed the rest by tweezers. I kept thinking that she was going to go back to using the thread, but she never did. As she's tweezing, she asked me " Are you allergic to wax?" and I responded with no... I just prefer Threading because it's cleaner. But I told her, if it's too much... You can just wax it. It's fine. She proceeded to pluck my eyebrows with tweezers. Honestly, my eyebrows look like I did them myself. When I go to someone who actually knows what they're doing with Threading, it does not cost me any more than $15. Or $18 max and I always tip. I walked out paying $38. I'm in complete shock right now!!!! I will never be coming back to this place again. Ever.
