First time client. I had told her I haven't been to nail salon in a year due to damaged nails. My technician went on to give me a talking to for approximately 5-7 minutes, lecturing me on numerous points. I asked for extensions , she said not unless they are hard gel. Still have no idea what the difference is because was too busy being lectured, she never actually explained. The part that gets me, her volume was so loud everyone could hear. It was very rude and embarrassing. I don't feel the need to be chastised for giving my experience. The salon is cute, however don't expect much from the service. They say they do gel builder but the technique is different. I tried doing my nails here 3x, 2 times my nails broke within two weeks. And now the third time she polished it terribly. I mentioned I liked the polish Russian style close to the cuticle and she said "you should just go get Russian style manicure then". I am so glad my best Greek gal pal Kat M. directed me to this place. I really do not get my nails done often but when I do I expect a nice experience and for them to look good. Situated in a plaza juxtaposed to a Shell Gas Station, Happy Nails is tucked away and easy to miss. Google maps will direct you to the correct place. There is ample parking out front. The salon itself isn't large, but is very comfortable and nicely appointed. Like the name denotes, there are little accents of emojis strewn about, such as smiley face throw pillows on chairs, etc. I made a reservation for a manicure and it was great that I was directed to a chair soon after I arrived. Kate did my nails and she was very nice and professional. She helped cater to what I wanted. I left with a nicely applied shellac manicure however I discovered that SNS is also employed here and I will opt for that application next time the mood to get my nails done strikes me. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!!!! 1. they are all liars, especially tram, tram told me that if i gave them five stars that they would give me $5 off, she lied and said it was because i was in high school (I've been out of high school for years) another worker also told me that their policy to fix anything was two weeks and i said it hasn't been 2 weeks and then she changed and said it was 10 days, i called 4 times trying to get in touch with the manager or owner and they never knew when they would be in or her name which is a lie 2. the problems: no acrylic overlay on my acrylic nails, tram killed an ant while doing my sisters nails and didn't wash her hands, my gel toes and my sisters toes were chipping after 3 days, both of our "acrylics" fell off after three days, tram filled my sisters nail down so far is red(picture below, and i also have pictures of our nails and toes) danny did my nails and if i hadn't pulled my hand away she would have cut my nails down to whatever size she wanted, we showed our picture for reference which was chrome, they weren't understanding that i wanted my nails longer and that my little sister wanted a different shape, the tech who did my toes didn't even ask if i wanted my toed cut or how short she just did them however she liked, after my pedicure when the store was closed i was offered an eyebrow wax, which was implying my eyebrows are ugly or she just wanted more money from me, they used so much glue on the "acrylics" that they were lint on the bottom and days after getting them done my sisters were still wet underneath when they came off, my sister told them a color that they wanted and they proceeded to chose another color, they also barely looked chrome and a shiny nail polish would have had the same effect, both of out nails were $75 and lasted for 3 days 3. when i asked for a refund they lied about their policies and are just in general a bunch of money hungry liars, when i asked if they could fix my nails they said that they would still have to charge me which is dumb because its their fault that my nails weren't done correctly in the first place 4. accused me of harassing them when i only called a few times asking for a manager, which they would never give me SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!
