I have been to the AquaStone nails on belcher and it is way bigger, cleaner and nicer than this location but I had assumed the quality would be the same since the other location is awesome. Well, I was wrong. I asked for a French pedicure and it was clear the lady wasn't comfortable with doing so because she messed it up quite a few times before I just gave up having to ask her to redo the lines. They came out pretty chunky and uneven and it took such a long time that I was getting pretty irritated. Not relaxing at all. When it was time for my gel nails since the pedi looked so subpar I decided to get a lighter color instead of French and sadly it came out very chunky, it looked like something went wrong with the top coat because it's not shiny and quite bumpy to the touch. I brought along my cousin and she got acrylics that came out quite nice but her manicurist didn't even give her lotion or a massage. Her pedicure came out sloppy as well. She paid $90 all and all and I ended up paying around $69. I really feel like we wasted our money and I definitely won't be back to this location again. read more

Returned here after going elsewhere for a couple of years. Always had a good experience with my pedicures at this salon. This time I tried a gel manicure which I loved initially. It started to peel 5 days later! I have never had a gel manicure peel so quickly. Needless to say it was a waste of $50, I will not be getting a manicure here again. Pay the $10 extra for a dip, so peeling won't be an issue. read more

I particularly want to thank Donny, his first day at that particular salon, however, you would never have known it unless he told you! Super friendly, funny, and extremely good at his craft! He did a beautiful job on my very first set of acrylic nails, (I've been a nurse 25+ years) and I was impressed and so happy with my result! If you go, ask for Donny, you won't be disappointed! Trina did my daughters nails. My daughter was very nervous and has anxiety disorder, but Trina made her relax and be calm! Sadly Trina, I hate to say, she did it! She peeled them off during an anxiety attack that very night! Sorry, all your work, and my money went for nothing. But, I still thank you for your patience and humor! I had never been to this salon before but it had great reviews so I popped in before work the day before leaving for a bachelorette party. The young lady who did my pedicure was very sweet and did an okay job. It's just my toes so no one will be looking that closely so no big deal. Half way through my toes she stated that she has never done a manicure before but has always wanted to try. She said she was scared it would not come out looking good. I told her she should practice more on the side and I'm sure she would get the hang of it. As she's finishing up my toes she says she wants to try to do my manicure and believes she can do it. I really wasn't given an opportunity to object but nonetheless she sat down to do my hands. As it was her first time they didn't come out great. Very uneven and the gel is streaky and bumpy. I voiced being unhappy with the way my manicure turned out and was basically told "Well you told me I could try". I told another nail technician who was doing somebody else's nails right beside me that I was unhappy and was basically told "at least she tried". When I went up to the counter to pay, the young lady told me my bill was $78 but because she didn't do a great job she was only charging me $75. At no point did anyone offer to fix them or rectify the issue. The young lady stated she had only been there 2 months and was new to nails. So here I am $80 later with a manicure I'm very unhappy with and an event to go to tomorrow with no time to get them re done. The photos were taken in the car right after walking out of the salon. I'm super disappointed that no one one even offered to re do them nor did they offer a larger discount than $3.00. I won't be back. read more

I'll go here every so often because its convenient but its so very average, and now I won't be going anymore. I had an appointment yesterday for 6:00 pm for a cucumber pedicure and an exfoliator which was confirmed when I checked in. I got there 5 minutes early and they told me it would be a 10-15 minute wait which I was totally fine with. At 6:30 they finally pulled my friend and I back. Someone started working on my friend but no one came to me until around 6:45 which the water was cold by then. My lady started on my pedicure while I talked with my friend but didn't double check with me about my appointment or even ask if I wanted to do a special pedicure. She put towels on my legs, drained my bowl, and walked away before I could even say anything. When she came back I told her I had booked a special pedicure with add-ons and I want to make sure that I wasn't being charged for those things since she didn't consult with me or the appointment book. The women working on my friend even said that I had a special booked after my lady told me that I didn't have that booked with her. My lady offered to do it for me but at that point I had been at the nail salon over an hour and still hadn't even started cleaning and painting my toes yet so to do it again would be a pain and would have been a half-a** job. My lady then told me that they were apparently out of the color I wanted so asked me to pick another one. I picked a pink color and the color she brought back was a beige/gray. My friend and the lady doing her pedicure both jumped in and said that was not the color I picked or wanted and got me a different color. She then told me to sit and wait in my chair for 10 minutes to dry which again would be fine but its now 7:30-7:40 pm and I want to leave. After all of this, the pedicure is not very good. Its fine because I'm not staring at my feet but its no better than you could do yourself. read more

This has been one of my favorite places to get my nails done for a long time. The quality is good, but there are certain nail artists that are better than others. The ambiance is very nice, luxe and relaxing. They give you a glass of wine when you get a pedicure which is really nice! They also have a rewards program where after certain amount of visits they give you a free pedicure. my friend and i booked an appointments today at 5:30. specifically said i need a flame design. when we get there, there wasn't enough people to do our nails. she had to wait 20 minutes. i got my nails shaped and cut by one guy. and then got my nails painted and got this absolutely terrible design by trina. this is not the length i asked for. this is not the design i asked for at all. it looks absolutely awful. if it couldn't have been done why was it said it could be on the phone? i will never be back here. the WORST nail experience i've had in my life. read more

When I first moved to Tampa a friend recommended AquaStone nails to me. I went in with no appointment and was paired up with Sandy at the original location. When I say I am Type A personality and I'm very particular about everything, I mean it. Sandy is bar far THE best at what she does. She takes her time and she listens to what you want. Since starting to go to AquaStone nails they've opened up a second location on gulf to bay. I followed sandy there and will only let Sandy do my nails. I'm not saying the others aren't great, because I have seen their work and it is indeed great, but I absolutely LOVE Sandy. When I find someone who is good at their job I will follow them anywhere. Very clean, professional, and reliable. I've never had a problem with an appointment or a service here and I've been going for 2 years now. I drive 45 mins just to get my nails done, but it's worth it. When I get a set of acrylics they last without lift for up to 3 weeks. I am a swimmer and an office worker so that says a lot about the quality of service. I checked out some other salons near my home but found that they were unclean, sloppy, or just unprofessional.
