I don't even know where to begin. Horrific experience- I would not recommend to say the least. We managed to get pool drained and new tile on in a timely manor, but the decking was nothing but a cob job! Unprofessional, sloppy work, paint on our house, landscape stone, garbage left in our pool. Used our hose, got paint all over it and just tossed it in the yard. This is all with the owner on site. He took a 3 day process for the deck and crammed it into one day. We said repeated, no hurry on this, we just want it done right. We have to move on from this nightmare of a company! read more

RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN. CHECK OUT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND AVOID HAVING THAT EXPERIENCE. Complete incompetence, horrible workmanship, trashes the backyard, won't install plastic at chip out, all the chip out dust goes everywhere including on the pool furniture fabric, etc.... Even though we were told they would protect our stuff with plastic they give a BS excuse when they don't and say they'll clean it. They send a crew that "gets it to the best they can" leaving the homeowner to clean it themselves. We had selected the Midnight blue upgrade with horrible results. See photos. They told us the same "brush it twice a day for 3 months" that didn't work at all. They came back to acid it wash it twice and the results were so bad they chipped it out and replastered. We even downgraded the color to French Gray to increase the success of receiving an acceptable outcome. They just replastered again, trashed the yard and planting beds and ripped us off on the cobalt blue glass beads we paid extra for. This company is dishonest (especially Tony) - He offered to upgrade the glass beads for free if we bought his guys lunch, which we did, he then asks to be compensated for the glass beads when their done. They trash your pool fittings and then slap some glue on it to fix it. Again, sheer incompetence as the glue wasn't applied to a clean joint and then lapped over the pool shell. Today they replastered again. Gave them the plan in the photos, discussed with Mike twice including earlier today, and this is what we received for the $3600 we paid for the glass beads. The quality of service here is terrible! Was talked into an upgraded finish and there are bald spots and very thin spots that are very noticeable. They came out and gave us bs on how it will even out in 3-4 months but it's already been 3 months. Don't use these guys! Terrible! I had my pool resurfaced in November 2019. In the spring the tiles and pebble tec began to fail. Called company so many times its crazy. sent text messages, did everything to resolve the issue. It's almost a full year with zero fix other than them gluing the 30+ tiles that fell out back in with silicone. Guess what - they are still falling out!!!! Says 10 year warranty for pebble and 5 for tile on the quote/contract. These guys are a joke - check out the pictures. The tiles got sucked into the pool plumbing guys - seriously? Aqua Caliente was amazing! I received 5 quotes before I made my decision and I'm glad I went with these guys. I not only saved a ton of money but they were on it. One crew came out chipped everything out in 5 hours but we're back two days later to remove the old pop up system, new plaster and didn't charge me to install all new target tiles. All new drains were also installed. The owner Tony was even here to over see the entire and the crew was very professional. They did everything I asked and more. Thank you guys! This place sucks! We hired them to build a wet deck, replaster and tile. Long story short they are disorganized. Delay after delay. They claimed their concrete sub-contractor was busy. I believe they did the concrete work themselves (which is outside the scope of their license). They used flimsy pegboard for the concrete forms. I have never done concrete work and even I knew it wouldn't work properly. When I called Mike asking why there was pegboard for the forms he claimed that's how it's done. When they poured the concrete the pegboard deformed and instead of a constant curve it pushed out of whack. I called and told Mike it wasn't a constant curve he said they would fix it. They tried fixing it by USING MORE FRICKING PEGBOARD. After the concrete set they tried "fixing" it by loading it up with plaster. The owner said we tried and that's how it is. I told him it wasn't right and he couldn't have cared less. The plaster has streaks in it and looks mediocre at best. The only thing that came out halfway decent is the tile. I highly recommend anyone considering this company to reconsider as you will be disappointed. read more

Off to a rough start with Aqua Caliente. The price quote process was great and project manager Mike was real nice. But since the contract was signed it's gone downhill. Pool was drained and chipped out in mid-May. Tile arrived May 27th, and we've been "confirmed" for tile installation four times since then. Each time it's been no call, no show by the tile guys. The original quoted completion date was May 30th, which we knew was stretch, but now I'm worried about swimming by the 4th of July. I understand everyone's busy, but honest communication solves a lot of issues. Hoping for better communication and firmer commitments, and will update shortly. read more

They left standing acid water in the bottom of our pool, which caused the pebble tec to be uneven once the pool was filled. They had to drain our pool and redo it, and now it looks even worse than it did before. It's very uneven and very light in several places. We put a lot of money into pool upgrades, including the dark midnight blue pebble tec that cost extra, so of course I am SO disgusted that we paid $7,000 for such horrible work! This review is not based on work performance because we didn't even get there... Owner is very nasty!!! No customer service skills whatsoever! We made an appointment for someone to come out and give us an estimate, for two houses. Before leaving the tech told us that we should expect an estimate sent to our email. 3 days later, no estimate... So we called, and were told that they will not be doing the job and we should look for another company to do the job because they are very busy... I'm giving them a 4 because they had a great price and were able to start the project very quickly and completed it in 3 days. The only reason for not going to a 5 star is because they never instructed me on what to do once it was done. My regular pool guy was the one who told me I needed to sweep the pool daily for 2 weeks and that it would be soft so we could not go in and to be careful not to scratch the pool. Also my pool guy told me not to run the spa with heat for 3 weeks, again information that I think is crucial to having the pool look its best and not mess up what was just done to it. Maybe a hand out to pool owners on what to do would be useful. and lastly there were 3 tiles off and 2 more fell off during the process, i was told they would be happy to put them back on, but its been 2 weeks and no one has come to do it even though i've been told they would. read more

Honestly please consider all other companies before choosing this one. We have had the worst experience you could imagine with this company and the owner and there truly is no accountability on their end. We had our pool re plastered and deck re done. The pool is uneven in color, discoloration took place just a week after work was done, Spider cracking, Calcium emerging from the cracks that are sharp to the touch, THERE ARE BOOT PRINTS STAINED INTO THE PLASTER OF THE POOL. We had the deck redone because there were cracks in it and the consultant said "Oh we can seal those and fix them so they don't come back and everything will look perfect again" The fact that he claimed we could fix them is the reason we even paid extra for the deck and now the cracks have all come back and they said they aren't responsible because they are existing cracks. Obviously they are existing that's why in contract it stated to fix cracks. They don't show up when the are scheduled, they do show up unannounced, they do not return phone calls when you have an issue. We hired this company because of the recommendation of Citywide Pool Service. They did NOT give us the product that was shown to us at all! They left with no instructions to us about the care of the pool. When we called with questions they would NOT help us AT ALL with even the courtesy of a phone call to tell us how to care for the new job, nor come to see our pool! In fact, the receptionist said to us that we would not receive any phone calls or assistance because the owner will not take the time! The sales person will tell you he is coming, but he won't, and you will wait for hours, call, and he will say he will come, and he won't! We called for help over and over, we sent a letter and emails. We were ALWAYS polite! They would not come back out to tell us if this was the way our pool should look! It looks NOTHING like the sample and it has scrapes all over the bottom. Worse than any company I have ever had dealings with ever! And, by the way, the Contractor's Board is not helpful.The guy who came and looked at our pool seemed to know nothing about replastering pools. read more

I had my pool resurfaced in the Spring and used them because of the low bid. What a mistake. They put their heavy equipment on my brand new hot tub cover and broke it. They said they would come out and look at the damage but they never did. That cost me another $500. They did not put the umbrella post in that I requested. Another mistake. And ultimately they did not put our pool light in correctly and I now have a huge mess. They won't return calls and rectify any of their mistakes. The pool light fix is going to cost me about $1500. I wish I had paid more for a company that would do it right the first time and stand by their work. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

Besides giving me a great price on the plastering, they could start in 2 weeks = versus the other bids I got at 4 to 6 weeks out. Mike and the crew showed up on time and finished the job in 6 days from the time they started. Both the demo crews and the plaster crews were real Maestros at the job, left the area around the pool cleaner than they found it, and it was fun to watch a really well coordinated group of guys do this messy job. I had my pool re plastered 2 months ago and new tiles put in. Good job on the tiles but not on the re plaster. They did not remove the pop ups and it ended being clogged up with plaster. They refused to acknowledge this and I had to pay someone to take out the pop ups and clean the clogged lines. eventually the "sales manager" showed up and took the pop ups to clean them. They damaged some of them in the process and I had to get new ones. Cost me extra $900 + to clean and fix up their sloppy work. AquaCaliente sales manager and owner refused to stand by their work even though it was almost $8K job in total. I wonder if they will even honor their warranty. Company painted pool deck and months later pool deck was cracked and needed repainting. When company was contacted they agreed to repaint. It was difficult getting this scheduled and we had to call back several times about the scheduling. What made matters worse is dealing with Maribel who was answering the phones. She didn't represent the company well and blamed people in the office for not "keeping her in the loop". Instead of trying to find out why no one showed up when scheduled, she directed me to call someone myself to figure it out. Then when her unprofessional behavior was pointed out, she claims she did nothing wrong. The sad part about this is, I have every unprofessional word in email form. I hope the owners of the company see this review and contact me so I can show them the unprofessional emails where she is blaming her coworkers. These guys are great. I found out about them when they were replastering the community pool by my house in Vegas. This was about a year ago and the place is a rental now, but I've been meaning to leave this review for quite some time. He gave me ridiculously low price. He even upgraded me for free to quartz and added a blue tint for free. It was during the spring last year so they were really busy but it was finished in less than a week from start to finish. The pool looked absolutely amazing. It was blue quartz with a blue tint. The water looked amazing. The finish is still strong and doing well. You will not go wrong choosing these guys! read more

Think twice on hiring this company they don't stand behind their work. There customer service is the worst and the workmanship is terrible. Hire Adams or BND . Not these guys they had to grind the plaster as it was setting to fast and never vacuum up the mess and they started to fill the pool and the plaster lay on the floor of the pool and harden . We were able to use a metal brush so we complained and the county said it was the water or the chemicals. They tested the water and it was perfect. So I wouldn't complain if it was the problem that the home owner did but this all started right after they finished. They wouldn't even call or come over to see if we were happy or to check there workmanship. So beware of this company you get what you didn't pay for . Hire a good company. read more

We hired Aqua Caliente to replaster our pool last week. The owner, Toni, is a decent and straightforward guy. He gave us an unbeatable price to begin with and delivered the finished product timely (three days from chiseling off the old plaster to laying new quartz coated plaster!) just like he said he would. They started and finished the work promptly. They took the job very seriously and were courteous and very meticulous. Also, they cleaned after themselves, so all I did was to sit and watch them work. I could go a four-star based on my experience, but with a "just finished" job I'm leaving that for the test of time regarding durability and warranty, if required. My job was a 40 foot,15 year-old basic white plaster pool I had built a couple of years after our home was finished. The tile was a mess and the plaster was pitting, along with some rebar rust-through spots that had appeared. Having looked it reviews here, on the BBB, Houzz and elsewhere, I must admit there were some comments that caused some trepidation as I considered Aqua Client for a pool remodel. But i gave them a shot at an estimate and asked around about them with various pool industry folks I encountered. I suppose those on-line comments set my bar low with expectations regarding job timeline. I will say they slipped a bit from the verbally-stated job timeframe. Not only did I not care, I delayed their start, due to my availability to oversee the operation (and pay for it). As a side note, I contacted plaster companies who were not interested in simple jobs like mine, and others who seemed to be interested but could not find their way to come out and provide an estimate. A.C. promptly sent an estimator within days of my first call. Their quote was less than I expected. I had no specific budget, but I could not have done the job this season if it were in line with my expectations (or should I say my fears). I was offered three finishes, and I chose the most expensive - pebble, which has the longest warranty and best predicted lifespan, not to mention looks the best in my opinion. Depending on finish, their estimate came in about 20 percent under those of two competitors. Of course I as a bit worried about the "you get what you pay for " principle. I'm not usually inclined to go with the lowest price. But I weighed the information I could gather about Aqua Client, and rolled the dice. In a nutshell: existing plaster demolition one day. New tile another day. Re-plaster and pebble a different day. Clean-up, acid-wash and fill and a new lED color light on a final day. Overall, the job went well. All the workers were professional, respectful and courteous. They cleaned-up well after each phase. I got the water temp up to 85 today (two days after fill complete) and we took an inaugural swim. Very happy with the job, and the appearance of the pool. The aqua blue pebble we chose looks awesome. If I were selling the house, it's the difference between "yeah, a pool," and "wow" as far as first impressions go. I'm happy to say that I would recommend this company based on my experience with them, so far. And I see no reason to be concerned about the long-term health of their work. FYI, our linear perimeter footage (what counts in estimating) was about 125 feet with a six foot middle deep and 3 foot shallow at each end, with a wet deck, raised bond beam and waterfall on one side, and lots of steps in different locations. With the pebble finish and new color LED bulb and gasket installed, the total was around $7000. I have a $1500 estimate for new cool deck (our pool deck is huge), so for way less than ten grand we have a look-new aquatic haven in our back yard. read more

Buyer beware! Yes they are very cheap but you get what you paid for. They drained my pool and removed existing plaster in 1 day, GREAT! They then disappeared for a month...When they do show up they installed the pool incorrectly, leaving out the target tiles on the steps / popouts / etc. creating visibility and safety issues. Aqua Caliente's suggestion to fix the problem was to saw cut the new pebble, install the targets, and ground in and around the targets. Sure he wants to get his money and walk away but now we will have seam issues and future problems with the pebble having joints and grout under water... read more

It is not unusual for miscommunication to happen in the service industry but it is rare that an owner will not make an attempt to resolve the issue. Regrettably, this is the position that Aqua Caliente owner, Antonio Castaneda, took. It is especially atypical when you deal with repeat customers! His company provided us with an estimate for two pools back in September. One was completed with flying colors in October and one was scheduled for March due to severe winter weather. A day before the work was supposed to commence, we received an email confirmation from the office with the work schedule. In a follow up phone conversation, I brought up to managers' attention few details regarding the job. One of them was bead blasting of the existing grout and tile and another regarding the pool light repair. The next day nobody showed up...the phone calls were not returned for 4 days and finally we were advised that the owner decided to cancel the job because he didn't want to do tile bead blasting. Considering that it was part of original estimate and was confirmed a day before this was a breach of written contract and lack of respect for customers trust and time. My numerous attempts to get in touch with Mr. Castaneda were left unanswered. read more

We hired this company for a second time,as they plastered a pool for us at our previous house about years ago. While plastering the pool at our brand newly built home, the hose broke spraying plaster all over the painted coping,the travertine deck, the pavers on the patio, the roof and shingles, the house stucco, two 12' sliders, 2 bedroom windows, patio furniture, rugs and block wall. The workers call the owner Tony, who arrives and has his worker hose everything off, and is apologetic at the time, and agrees the house stucco will have to be painted. Instead of staying and power washing everything off that day instead of letting the plaster bake in the heat they all leave, my husband had to power wash everything. Tony never offered to have the windows cleaned, the coping repainted. The next day "Mike" brings the paint for the stucco, he tells us we usually always check the hoses but we didn't this time, I'm thinking to myself, did he really just say that? Then he tells us Tony will be here this morning to power wash the pavers and the painters will be here also, NO,not Tony or the painters arrive. When the painters finally show up its in the late afternoon on a another day, they setup to paint even though the winds are very strong and they are not even covering anything, we tell them NO, not today. My husband had to continually reach out to Tony to try to pin down his arrival, and we would wait and wait, ha to push back other contractors, and everyday Tony would not show up or call. A week and half later, after some pushing Tony sends six guys to power wash, because the day before Tony did show up but said he forgot his nozzle and would be back in an hour, no show, no phone call, when my husband reaches out he supposedly was in an accident, not hurt though. His six guys arrive, direct overkill, and one of the guys plays around spraying water on the other guys and while one guy was up on the roof cleaning the shingles, this same guy picks up rocks to throw up on the roof at him, my husband has to stop him! Then these same guys power wash and brush the coping to see if we can avoid having to repaint the coping, but then they walk allover the wet coping with their dirty shoes, unbelievable. Tony agrees to pay for the repainting of the coping which we deduct from the payment, my husband asks him to waive the $150.00 credit card fee, for the inconvenience we endured, but he says, No, never offers to have the windows cleaned, never cleans the pavers, he should have reduced the price by $150.00. Tony who is the owner never came back to make sure we were satisfied or check on the final clean up. Stay away from this company, if they can't do right when its their fault, they don't deserve the business. Unfortunately, I will not refer them to my neighbors who are asking us for the name of our pool plasterer. This is probably one of the most unprofessional businesses I have delt with. I go to there office to get information and look at samples. We'll I get there and there are no samples. They tell me product they use which is a pebble they make themselves. Spoke to salepeson about there colors. He proceeds to set up a meeting months ago when interviewing and brings me a couple samples. Month or so goes by as we were not ready at that time for plaster as it is a new pool. Well I decide to use them. I made a plaster date. Made contact with salesperson again. He tells me a list of colors they do. Tells me I can go to a web site and see colors. We tried to contact salesperson to clarify but no response. We message a few times and nothing. We contacted office with our concerns and said will relay message. Well week goes by and nothing. Then we get email pushing date off to a later date. We understand this happens. Then again we get email pushing date off. Office lady states called my phone got no answer only voicemail. I have no missed calls or voicemails from this person. Yes they have my correct number because we have communicated via text will salesperson and is on emails. We try contracting salesperson again with no luck. We are a week away from plaster and office lady promised sales guy would be Intouch. More days go by with nothing. Today we receive and email stating they are to busy and weather set backs of maybe a day or two and instead of asking me if would like to make a new date they cancel my plaster for my pool we had set up for next week. Tell me to go ahead and find a new company they can't do it. This company has jerked us around for 3 plus weeks and now cancel. Very bad business practices.
