Very happy with the service! Travis served our house today and he did an excellent job, I couldn't be happier!

Younger sales rep showed up (wearing an American flag hat) at our house on a Monday afternoon, I told him I wasn't interested in their services in a polite way but then he asked if my "husband was home" so I shut the door. If this is the type of misogynistic tactics they employ to try and sell their services then I want nothing to do with this company. read more

Representative rang doorbell at 7pm Memorial Day. This is a gated community with signs that solicitation is not allowed. Rep implied HOA allowed him to solicit and provided names of some residents that used their service which is creepy in itself. Reminded 'no solicitation' and would be reported. He said he is here at the direction of the company. Likely out of the Fife Office. Asked to leave card and he declined. I have picture from another resident's door camera earlier in the day so he has been in the community soliciting for many hours. If there was a ZERO star I'd give em a 0 Started service in May. Had 1 Visit. No one bothered to show up since then. I was told 10th Aug will be my next service after I called. I took 10th off as they will not tell u when the tech will show up. No one showed up I called CS. Got a new date of 13th of Aug. Today is 13th and no one showed up. Took another day off. Called CS again and I was told due to unavailbility the new date is 27th Aug. I requested cancelation due to being charged for service not provided. Customer service advised Service canceled, however NO REFUND for 2 months I was charged. Do yourself a favor and stay away from APTIVE read more

The rudest solicitor i have ever dealt with. Refused to take no for an answer, made us tell him no 4 more times. While we have no solicitor signs and beware of dogs signs, and our gate was locked to boot. Alot of people work from home now, so being disrupted isnt really appropriate. Hence no soliciting signs, no trespassing signs, etc. No regard for anyone else or their lives. Straight rude. Came back an hour or so later to my partner outside working on a truck in the driveway. Still trying to sell his pest control. Told him not interested, no ty. The sales fella "Anthony Munao" proceeded to say f*can you and drive away on his little Segway. Needless to say I've been watching outside for him to come e back around and he did once my neighbor came home. So I walked over took a Pic of his name tag to call in the complaint to his company, and told my neighbor he was rude and disrespectful and to not engage with him. He "drove" by and I told him to get off my street and we proceeded in a back n forth banter, and he then spit on my property and left. Dont bother with these clowns. read more

First, the sales rep was totally dishonest. He will tell you anything you wanna hear as long as you buy the product. Next, canceling is a nightmare. You go through all kinds of people and everyone just wants to sell you more. They never ever admit any wrongdoing, because everything happens to be your fault. read more

Active pest control is a scam, they never come out to your house, their products do not work and they continue to charge you and they will not let you cancel your contract without charging you $200. Even if you cancel one day in advance, they will try to charge you $200. And then you only have a 10 day window to cancel. Otherwise they will continue to charge you without a contract in place. read more

Despite TWO no soliciting signs on my porch, a young salesman came to the door again today, refusing to accept a polite NO and telling me that no, he can't read, when i asked him if he read either sign. Then he left his trash on my property after i closed the door. This is the second time this year Ive had a rude Aptive employee disregarding my boundaries and being unprofessional. The lack of decency and respect is a business model that continues to ensure Aptive will never get my money. And now I'll share my experience with others. read more

Not in a MILLION YEARS will I EVER employ a company like this! Aptive pest control has this man walking around Spanaway knocking on doors with SO SOLICITING signs looking for cutomers. Update: as you can see in the comments they are offering to "make things right" ..what a load of ****! They don't offer actual pest removal service, they won't work with you unless you buy a subscription, and their customer service people don't seem to know how to read reviews before responding. Don't let their tone fool you, the entire ethos of this company is a scam and dirty sales tactics followed by failure to perform what job you actually need. DO NOT USE APTIVE! None of them seen to understand ethics and professionalism. The fine print in the contract is so one sided I had to report them to the state!!. Nearly any other company or individual will be better to work with. read more

Dishonest business and a scam!!! They use tactics to keep customers on their contracts longer than agreed, and the cancellation process is extremely frustrating. Three days before my one-year contract ended, I called to cancel and specifically asked to ensure I would not be charged again. Instead of processing the cancellation, I was offered a coupon and told I must call back on the exact contract end date, or I would be charged a cancellation fee. When I called one day after contract ended, I discovered they had already charged me additional month of service the day right after my previous call. Customer service then blamed me for not calling on the exact end date and refused to issue a refund. A supervisor later offered a $20 discount if I agreed to extend the service beyond the contract term, stating that only then could the overcharge be refunded. I declined, as I only wanted the service for one year. The refund was then refused. This experience felt misleading and unfair. I would not recommend this company based on how they handle cancellations and billing. read more

Locked into a two year contract for pest control. I had "zero" insects before they started and from day one all the way until the last day of service, my place was crawling. These sales kids are condescending and rude, what a joke. Door to door sales single wheel rollers, please note that we don't need to feel pressured to purchase a service. The sales boys are constantly harassing the people in my neighborhood and NEVER take no for an answer. They're also rude and play stupid when told there is absolutely no soliciting allowed in our neighborhood. We've told them countless times "we're not interested please leave" and they always come back later the same day to talk to another person in the home. They also vape and are completely reckless on their little hoverboards. Absolutely do not recommend this company to anyone since they don't have any respect for others and they are fine with harassment towards others. read more

I don't leave many reviews on here, but this needs to be said. If your salesman comes back to my door, I am going to hurt him. I have never in my life dealt with a door-to-door salesman who has been so disrespectfully, blatantly, down right rude and belittling in my entire life! Not only did he open a gate with a "DO NOT ENTER" and "NO SOLICITING" sign, but my wife was unable to get him away from the door. I had to end my work meeting (on zoom) due to the dogs continually barking at this man and my wife going back and forth trying to get him to leave. I could hear him telling my wife, "your signs aren't legally binding" as I approached the door. It wasn't until I gave him to the count of 3 to get off my property before I let my dogs out and he would be turned into a tug toy that he decided enough was enough. Later, I found he had not only used some pretty foul language, but completely ignored numerous requests from my wife to leave the premise when he thought she was there alone, instead kept talking about the "pests we surely have in and around our home." So I'm telling your company RIGHT NOW, we better not see another representative of yours step one damn foot on our property. Never felt so disrespected by a young man with a smirk like this in my entire damn life! read more

I actually need an exterminator -- and I still wouldn't do business with this company if they were the last bug-squashers on Earth. Let's set the scene: I've got a very clear "NO SOLICITING" sign on my door. Not in fine print. Not hidden behind a bush. Front and center, bold letters. This guy strolls up like he's never seen a door in his life and rings anyway -- during naptime, no less. Bold move when there's a toddler inside whose emotional state is held together by one granola bar and a Bluey episode. I told him now wasn't a good time, and he said he wasn't here to sell anything. You know what happened next? He started selling something. Either he's a liar or he thinks a pitch doesn't count if he smiles through it like a used car in khakis. He clearly didn't understand -- or care -- that I was wrangling a meltdown in progress while also trying not to melt down myself. And the kicker? I genuinely need pest control help. I was ready to hire someone. But not this someone. You lost a customer before you even finished your first sentence. Bugs can stay longer than this dude did. Hard pass. read more

Joseph from Aptive was "in my neighborhood helping people out" and came to my door. After being told clearly that I was not interested, he continued to stand on my porch and talk after I went in my house. They say their products are safe, but after 2 treatments ( the technicians knowing full well we have pets that utilize the yard), and waiting a day to let the product dry, my pets are experiencing allergic skin reactions that my veterinarian says are environmental (likely due to the chemicals used). This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They keep customers on contacts and make it impossible to discontinue services. I had to wait an entire year to finally be able to cancel with them and you can only do it by calling them. They also don't allow you to remove your payment method, so you really have no control of your account or payments. I told them I didn't want their services and they told me someone had to come out even though I wanted nothing to do with them. They said they would discount the charge (for the service I didn't want) and they ended giving me a credit even though they new I was going to cancel my account. They make you call them on a specific day to cancel probably with hope you don't do it and they will lock you into another contract. I have had to spend so much of my time dealing with these people. These guys are clearly told to absolutely ignore "No Soliciting" signs. They are vultures, and the company should be shut down permanently, because I'm tired of them coming to my door unwelcome. I think they may even be told to say they misread the signs. I showed it to the agressive sales rep, and he said he thought it said No Smoking with a grin on his face, clearly lying. He was rude and agressive. He started out with "My name is X and I've been doing some work for your neighbors (a lie usually). Are you familiar with me?" didn't say his company, I had to squint to see the name Aptive on his hat. Clearly they don't want people seeing it before answering the door. He didn't even seem to want to tell me what the company was. I immediately said I'm not interested, to which he angrily followed up with "Oh yeah, do you even know what I'm doing?" I am familiar with their services, because the previous guy wouldn't shut up and get off my porch either. This company should be shamed out of business. Once my dogs got past me at the door, he decided to backup and leave. These idiots are going to end up in the hospital, and I hope they sue their company for training them to be predatory. Addendum to original text: I had hoped the company would do the right thing, but their actions are geared towards offering an apology and not looking into the issue. Reminder, they are supposed to register with the village. They did not. They are supposed to follow the village's rules for solicitors. They did not. I have been in contact with multiple people at Aptive, and they are pretty much worthless: Rhiannon (phone), Alexis Voss (email) , Jasmine Outlaw (email) , and Anthony Fischer (email). Lots of apologies, but seemingly have no intention of looking into the issue and even less of doing anything about it. I'm still looking for answers as to why the sales person was taking pictures of the inside of my garage and what he is doing/has done with those pictures. So, I'll keep posting updates to warn others of their sales tactics and lack of issue resolution. RM R M. Predatory service. Had a contract with them, after my last service on the contract the guy invited me to renew my contract, I declined. We confirmed I'm discontinuing service. But I continued to get appointment messages and guys showing up, and I'd have to tell them I cancelled. They said I'd only be charged if they went through with the service...looked at my account and i WAS charged for that visit. After months of this, getting yet another text of a guy saying he's on his way, I texted saying I've cancelled this long ago. My contract ended, I keep telling you guys this, etc. He informs me it's not cancelled unless I call some 800 #.
