We had another heat wave and noticed tiny, tiny ants in our master bath sink so Omar came out today to do a treatment (I appreciate that these visits are free) and he was in and out in less than 5 minutes. the sales person was very creepy and invasive and wouldn't go away and made me burn my lunch. he had his foot on my door frame making it impossible to close to the door in his face without hurting his foot, but I thought about it when he started asking if anyone would be home or at the house in a couple days. he claimed to be some sort of manager but when I asked what his company's name was (the name was on his shirt) he seemed confused and took a minute to answer. if they're going to go door to door, they need to be less creepy or someone's going to end up with their foot smashed in a door. read more

During a time of social distancing they came to my front door unmasked to sell me their services. I explicitly said that I'd already had my home serviced by another company within the past two months, it wasn't in my budget to enlist services for pest control when I wasn't currently having any pest issues, I didn't want to waste his time and he should move on to the next house for purposes of productivity - hard pass. I couldn't shake him, even with my transparent and direct response to his offer. He continued to try to sell me the services that I still didn't need, so I restated the obvious - again - and told him I appreciated his efforts but it wasn't going to happen. He wouldn't leave until I took his contact info, which I had to enter into my phone (promptly deleted), and then he asked me for a bottled water before he left. Seriously. C'mon y'all. One of their door-to-door salesmen knocked on my door in May 2021 and told me my neighbor was subscribed to their services (a lie) I signed up for a one-year term that was supposed to be an initial treatment followed by six treatments over the following year. They showed up for the initial treatment, and then two weeks later for treatment #1 of 6 and then AGAIN the following month for treatment #2. It became like a joke with them trying to schedule service every couple of weeks and me calling them and spending 30 minutes to an hour on hold to get them to cancel/reschedule the treatment. They kept telling me there was a problem with the computer system. I told them I didn't want them to cancel the service, just that I didn't sign up for it every 2-3 weeks! FINALLY had my last treatment this April and told them to never come back. Throughout the service my yard was plagued with fire ants that never went away. I was stung pretty badly by the ants within a week of one treatment. I complained about spiders every time they came, but I couldn't step out my back door without cobwebs getting in my face. To top it off, I had a knock on my door last week with one of their poor salesmen out in 106 degree weather again telling me he was the representative who worked with my neighbors (again, a complete lie) and no idea about my history with the company. 9/10/2020 Taylor came to do our first quarterly maintenance pest control work. He was polite, very friendly, and professional. He is quite the opposite from the first technician who came a month earlier and did the initial work right after we signed up with Aptive. That guy was very rude, seemed he was upset with the world. He was difficult to talk to and he was not only rude, but also very condescending. I was regretting to sign up with Aptive when their sale's person came to our house. I was not happy with this company and was thinking to give them one more chance. If still that bad, I will stop using them. Taylor was so nice and he changed my opinion of this company. He carefully checked mouse traps the previous tech set up and found almost all of them were without bait which were useless for trapping the rats. Buyer beware. Just cancelled our contract. Worst service ever. 4 times in less than 1 month requested them to come out and spray for mosquitos. No decrease what so ever on our property. Before the 4th visit we called to complain and was told none of the first 3 visits were for mosquitos....yet we were assured by each visit it was. Yes, I'm one frequently answers the door for unplanned knocks/a doorbell ring (in part, to quiet the dogs). How much I will or will not "receive" someone is based on a) Do I know them? b) If it's no one I know, what are they presenting? c) If no interest/needs but a good reason/"argument," I'll display openness to hear more (by stepping outside because of the dogs). Upon learning this solicitation/representation, I indicated no interest AND that this wasn't a good time. Yes, I understand that door-to-door salesmen/women train for this response, I tried to be polite and answered a few questions (especially indicating no need). Solicitor threw out $ quotes; my service is better. He agreed this may be true but for me to listen more: Did he not hear me say I'm "set," no interest, and again not a good time? Yes, one neighbor "signed up" for this company's services (included in the solicitation sales pitch as a reference, of course). I'm more saddened my neighbor didn't consult with me before signing up with them. I can't imagine what they're paying! But golly, if one neighbor signs up, be prepared to receive a door-to-door salesmen that actually ranks in my top 1% for not giving up/the FIRST I've actually closed the door on (& yes, this includes Jehovah's Witnesses! Yes, I've opened the door to JW over this guy! At least they present an unassuming positive message!). Very persistent door-to-door sales means I would never use them.

BEWARE of these people coming door to door trying to sell you a contract. They will lie and pressure just to get the contract! I had a salesman knock on my door, when I told him that I already had a service, he asked who with and when I told him, he told me the amount I was paying them and that he could give me a lower rate. When I told him I signed a contract he informed me that he was 100% sure that my contract was only for 12 months (because I told him I would need to refer to my contract). He pressured me to sign that day -- it couldn't wait until I found and reviewed the contract. Now 3 weeks later, I find out that the contract was for 24 months and Aptive will NOT let me out of my contract without paying $229 for the service they insisted on (even though I didn't need it at the time). I will gladly pay the $50 service fee that they offered me, but I shouldn't be penalized for them successfully using dishonest and underhanded sales tactics! read more

Quentin Atkins provided excellent extermination service for my home inside and out. He seemed very knowledgeable, personable but professional, and time efficient. I will request that he return for the next quarterly treatment. I am displeased with the fact that Aptive told me they would return without a charge if I continued to have pest problems after my first treatment. I had my home treated about a month ago and I am scheduled for quarterly treatments. Shortly after Quentin left today, my bank account was charged $117.99!! I called the office and they are trying to call that follow-up my quarterly scheduled visit. IT IS CLEARLY NOT A QUARTERLY VISIT AS IT HAD ONLY BEEN ABOUT A MONTH SINCE MY INITIAL TREATMENT! Aptive's response was that they would credit the money back to my account and they asked when I would prefer that amount be drafted for the service I received today. This company is deceitful. They will lie to you and charge your account wrongfully. I was just hung up on, BY THE MANAGER. I've called to complain, and they say they'll call back, but they don't. Wow! So far, this has been incredible! From initial the sales call which was a knock at the door, I was given a thorough explanation of the services (which was comparable to what I was receiving from ABC Pest & Lawn, but using ORGANIC sprays for less $$). This was a Friday, they booked the appointment for Monday. I received a reminder text Monday morning (today) & then a call when the tech was 30 min out. The tech (Justin) showed up when stated, again explained in detail what he would be doing & what he was using. He put cloth booties on his shoes to enter my home & perform the interior treatment (which I appreciated) before heading outside to treat the exterior. This is my first time signing up for recurring service with any pest control company. What initially sold me on Aptive was their sales rep who went door to door explaining their mission. The funny thing is, a rep from Terminex had just stopped by the day before but his sales pitch was off and he didn't seem like he even cared. This will be a double review. I'd like to shout out Ernie Weaver. He was the technician who performed my very first treatment. He even came in and identified the bug at its infant stage and gave me advice on what to do about it. Initially, I did see a slight increase in big activity which Ernie had prompted me on in the beginning (in May). This was easily taken care of with the free service in between my routine. As of now, I've seen a significant decrease in the amount of bugs. Actually if I see any they are already dead. Today I had Mr. Joel Guerrero granulate my back yard. Despite the "no soliciting" sign on my door, this millennial dude-bro of an Aptive salesperson rang my Ring doorbell at 1:45 PM yesterday. I answered through my Ring, telling him that we were not interested and to please leave. He then proceeded to ring my doorbell a SECOND TIME!!! I did not open the door but yelled through it that I had already told him we were not interested and he needed to get off my property immediately. He then decided to taunt me through the door by childishly and sarcastically saying over and over again, "What was that? I can't hear you!" I had to threaten to call 911 to get him to leave. As he was leaving, he called me a "F*cking B*tch". I heard him through my door and I have it recorded on my Ring. His behavior was unprofessional, childish, rude, and just plain harassment!
