They told me it was taking so long was because they needed aflat bed and when they finally showed up, they definitely weren't using aflat bed. Never have I been so distraught or distracted that I forgot to check in on Yelp. Insurance advised to have the car released over the phone - APT got a wedgie when I called to do that and said that's not how they operate and who does my insurance think they are? Whoa, now... Ok. Next option! I was told I had to release in person. No other instructions, just come in person. The girl at the desk didn't even look at me when I walked in and just said "license and registration." Oh, crap. You're kidding me. They wouldn't release the car without registration. At this point, I veered toward the unpleasant version of myself. I had asked for instructions when I previously called and was only told to come in, and very snippily at that. Another woman came over and asked what's going on, and compromised with me to fax the registration. Haaaallelujah. Then, one of the drivers helped me carry my things the rest of the way from my car (he spotted me half-way out their lot). That was very appreciated. Wish I had gotten his name. Also, as far as I could tell, nothing was missing from the car, so A+ for that. I was really dreading coming here - who would want to prioritize a stroll through a car cemetery? At least it made me thankful, for the 10,000th time, that I'm alive. read more

Disclaimer: I did NOT use this service but still had a nasty run in with driver. I was driving down the street this morning and a man pulled out in front of me and proceeded to reverse extremely quick - right towards me. I immediately stopped and tapped on my horn twice (quick, short bursts) to let him know I was there. He then began to make rude gestures out of the window until I passed him. He even opened the door and kept making the gestures! When he got out, he was in the uniform for this company and the went to his tow truck, jumped in, and once again reversed very quickly into oncoming traffic. I totaled my car in an at fault accident so my vehicle was taken to Xtreme Towing's storage lot. I had to pay weekend storage since they're not open to the public over the weekend! And they wanted to charge my $155 to tow my wreck back to my house. I paid the fee for storage and went shopping. The staff at APT were very helpful and friendly. They charged me half of what I would've paid with the other service and were able to get my car within 15 minutes of my call. I'd tow with APT again any day. read more

My company uses them for all of our towing needs and they are always fantastic. The drivers are courteous and professional, the dispatchers are friendly and their trucks always look great. They are honest about how long it will take them to get to your vehicle whether its 20 minutes or 2 hours which a lot of other companies won't do and will leave you waiting for longer times than quoted. The lady at the counter had me sign the "Tow Security Record" before filling out the amount. I asked to fill it out before, she refused. They are very are greedy and overcharged a Victim of Crime (stolen vehicle). This guy Butch comes out an says "get the hell out of my property" because I told him the car was stolen and told him i was told by Denver Police Departement that there was not going to be a charge. They said the car was reported stolen after they picked up the car. Not true. It was reported stolen 5 days earlier. APT Service NEVER called me to let me know the car was sitting in their lot, allowing fees/charges to keep accumulating on purpose. Adams County is hiring this company to tow vehicles. I had called for tow after a hail storm Monday evening and said the following day around 10am as I knew they were slammed with more urgent tows for the evening. By 10am, I called just to confirm. A co-worker of mine had waited 3 hours to get her car towed. So I figured a 3 hour window was most likely going to happen to me as well regardless of an advance appointment. By roughly 12:30 I called for an ETA as I was planning to leave work around 1pm to beat the next storm. They said it would be another hour. I waited until 2 and called again to ask for a time frame. They said they will dispatch in 30 min. I explained that I had to leave but I was worried they would not find my car because there were a ton of parking lots were I work. They suggested I leave the car hood up and leave the keys under the mat, unlocked. I explained that I was not comfortable with that as it would be left unattended plus campus security would get upset. She did not understand the big deal. Finally I agreed to leave the keys on the tire and tried to give them the best description of how to find my car that I could give. When I spoke to campus security they said they'd bring the keys to them. So I called the APT service back to let them know that security would have my keys for them and gave them the number to call when they arrived. It was about 2:30 at this time. By 4pm I still had no clue when they'd be there. I called again and 'they had just arrived and was looking for security'. My car did not get to its tow destination until a little after 5pm. What I'm most upset about has the poor communication from them. I was as respectful as I possibly could be and think a 7 hour window is not reasonable. Out of all the times I called they never explained their plans or intentions. That would have made I huge difference in their service. They just kept saying half an hour or an hour every time I called. They could've just said 7 hours or between 3-6pm and at least I would have planned my day around that. An entire work day was wasted for me because they would not tell me at least a realistic window time frame. I called at 10am to confirm, that would have been a great time to tell me, "hey we are slammed, we wont make it to you till XX time..." read more

I just want to thank Mike Berry for for helping me out today. My motorcycle broke down, and I had to have it towed to the dealer. Loading and unloading a bike onto a flatbed truck is never an easy process. Mike was a remarkably good sport about it, and he took the time to make sure my bike wouldn't get scratched up as he secured it onto the truck. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! I would not EVER trust these guys again. My car was towed from a Private Parking lot, which I hadn't noticed a sign for, at the time. I take full responsibility for that portion. But when I called they would not give me a price until I called them back 15 minutes later...like they had to "decide" what to charge me only AFTER our conversation. Considering they'd already had my car for over an hour, how hard is math for them? It cost me $176 to get my car back...and this is for a tow less than 5 miles away. A month ago I was in an accident that required a tow (SAME company from about the same distance) and it only cost $90. And they wouldn't take check or credit...even though they took a check after my accident. Curious? I show up with $180...but they say they can't make change. For FOUR friggin dollars???? i was disrespected by the employees when i called back to address an issue when the tow guy failed to listen to me. i definitely will never recommend this company to anyone. I have both a positive comment, as well as a negative one. First, the tow truck driver that came and towed my vehicle after an accident couldn't have been nicer and more professional. He was polite, empathetic, and concise about what would happen. Then I get a call from this company, saying I had to DRIVE to their lot (which is nowhere near me) to sign a release for Allstate to come get my car and tow it elsewhere. Completely baffled as to how I am supposed to DRIVE there to sign something, when my car is wrecked and undrivable IN THEIR LOT. When I called to ask whether it could be e-mailed to me for signature, I spoke with the rudest lady on the planet. Her response - "I have a family to feed." Wow. If you have ANY choice at all for towing companies, whether it's for a stalled vehicle or you have been in an accident - DON'T use this company. The Denver Police Department uses them, and it's clear now as to why: they must be the cheapest company out there, and it shows in their horrible customer service. Gary was our driver and he was more than courteous introduced himself shook my hand, loaded the car and brought it to where we needed to be. Then he put it in the exact place we needed it. Really poor/rude customer service. My car had broken down in the snowy weather around 8ish. I had to leave my car unattended to go grab some tools , only to come back and find that my car has been wrecked. I called my insurance around 9 and thats when they sent APT services for assistance. After receiving text notifications for an initial ETA they said about 120 min. 120 minutes later (now 11:00pm) and no sign of anybody. Then I received another notification for a new ETA which was now 12:23am. When the driver arrived on site, he rudely Stated "how we gonna tow this ‍" and then asked if i had a towing hook for my car which I did not have due to a break in that occurred just the other night. Then I replied with you're the professional here , do you not have any sort of extra hooks ,tools or anything to help with my situation? He then responded " I dont know what to tell you". When i asked for his name He said i did not need to know that information and then got in his truck and drove away. Leaving me stranded at 1:00am out in the snow. read more

My car needed to be towed, so I signed up with AAA. I called AAA and they sent a guy from APT to get my car. The guy was helpful and tried to help me find out what was wrong with my car, rather than just hooking it up to his truck. He checked my battery and my alternator to help me narrow down the things that might possibly be wring with my car. Service was pretty quick and the tow was just fine. read more

My sons car was towed from an event, granted he was parked in a no-parking zone. When I called to find out where to pick it up, the person on the phone was cordial enough. However, once I showed up to pay and pick up the car, my overall experience and impression of the owner (Jim) and his wife (dispatcher), both the spitting image of one of those reality shows for a towing company that you see on TV, not in a good way, the vibe and overall lack of customer surface revealed itself as to how this business was run. The cost for a hookup and 7 mile tow to their lot, $208.50!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated with disrespect and the interaction from Jim and his wife (dispatcher), we'll call her Bertha, were rude and it was like talking to a wall. I wasn't upset that the car was towed, it was my sons fault for parking where he shouldn't have, but trying to hold a conversation with a preschooler would be more pleasant and easy going. I filled out some paperwork and asked for a copy of which I was told was for the owner. When I asked who the owner was, I received zero response from Jim. I then asked again and the kind tow truck driver, who was very happy from his latest buzz of smoking marijuana, kindly pointed to Jim. My word, thank you, I'm glad that someone around here can speak. The cars physical condition was fine, the inside reeked of smoke and the parting from the lot was less than friendly. No have a nice a day, etc from Jim.
