So I needed a tow for my car and AAA was taking a long time. I ended up finally getting linked up with dude from Tic Tac Tow as AAA contracts out late night service calls and I couldn't have been happier with the service. First of all, he responded almost immediately. Upon arrival, he assessed the situation and we had a problem. This was that he couldn't get his vehicle down into my parking garage that was 6'5 clearance and his truck was like 6'10. Essentially I was dead in the water and I would have had to wait another probably 2 hours when I had waited already four before the call had gotten to him. This was where he went above and beyond anything I would ever expect somebody on a lower money AAA service call to do. First off I was extremely happy with how friendly he was at 2 in the morning. Usually when AAA person shows up at this hour they are extremely grumpy and basically I don't dare ask anything of them that's not normal . So anyways we ended up finagling the clearance pipes that were hanging down and we're able to get his vehicle all the way down into my parking garage so that we could get it towed then and I didn't have to wait any longer. He trusted me and we we're able to work together to safely get his vehicle down into my garage so that he was able to service my tow still. I know that if he's willing to do this for AAA, I imagine that he's willing to do just about anything I would ask (within reason) when it comes to Towing. My teenage son went off the road and landed down the embankment in the foothills- the stress from that alone was insane, my insurance company only has ONE towing company that serves that area, after multiple calls with that company's dispatch (they can't find the car.....well, you have to look DOWN! it went off the road!) ultimately they called me back, hours later saying they will not get this car as "it is not a simple tow but a recovery" - didn't I - ME personally - tell you that???? Called the insurance company back, over an hour after dealing with them, they basically said I was on my own trying to find someone to go and recover the car. I looked up towing companies close to the foothills and found this....from the very beginning the driver, Mike, was calming and reassuring, stating he will go and look for the car, and if he can't get it he will find me someone who could......so, this kind of service you really hardly get anymore, if I could give 10 stars, I would. He also spent a little time trying to locate exactly where it had gone off the road, found the car, got it recovered and delivered it to us - again being nice and understanding as can be. After waiting 10 hrs for AAA to have a tow show up, I couldn't have been more pleased. I had just purchased my friends broken down bus and was beginning to get nervous with what I was getting into. The hookup was quick, even with a 17ft school bus. As my bus rolled away I stuck around briefly to say my goodbyes as my friends got back on the road, knowing almost for sure I'd be able to catch up and beat the driver to the storage lot. Well he won. The service was helpful, polite, knowledgeable, and reassuring with getting my new-to-me bus to its new location. 10/10 would recommend and will be using in the future.
