USAA called Denver West Towing to tow my vehicle after I was rear-ended on 6th avenue and Colfax. My car was totaled as a result, and the next day (after going to urgent care to get checked out and making 900 phone calls about insurance stuff and also working my job), I went over there with my mom to clear out the car. Because I was hit so hard, only the two front doors would open, so I had to climb over the seats to clear out the back. I was basically having a mental breakdown, crying the whole time because it was a lot to deal with emotionally - and the woman who "helped" us stood there under an umbrella (it was pouring rain) chain-smoking the whole time. She wouldn't let me take my plates or explain why; she did the same thing when I tried to take off the brand new $65 wipers I'd put on the week before, and basically rushed me through the whole thing. There's still stuff on that car in the spare tire compartment I had to abandon because I couldn't access it. I get that the weather was awful and she had to stand out there and watch us empty my totaled car. Bummer. There was no need for the shitty attitude; it made an already very difficult situation even more unpleasant. I'll never voluntarily use Denver West Towing. They said they would towing my vehicle to a friend's house and gave me an invoice number and I paid online and then they said it wasn't worth it for them to send a driver out and they were canceling but "someone" would have to come in to the office to be able to refund my money. I was stranded west of Denver on I-70. I called Denver West Towing and a driver by the name of Kayla came to my rescue. She was very professional and quick at getting my truck loaded. She took me and my truck to a local shop. She drove very professional and we had great conversation along the way. The fee for towing my ram 3500 was quite reasonable too. Hopefully I will not have to use their service again but if I ever break down in Denver I will definitely call Denver West towing again. Thanks for making a bad day a lot more pleasant. read more

They berated my owner, and Indian woman who has lived here 10 years and began her catering company in the back of her Honda...and their approach with me as a white guy was no better. I was trying to be careful about picking a tow company that wasn't crazy expensive-- I think I picked well! My car was dead in my parking lot for days so it wasn't and on the spot call... I spoke with reception on two different occasions, and both times the woman was very polite and helpful. I told her my destination and she was able to give me the exact pricing beforehand (and no surprise charges after the fact). The tow came within the timeframe described, and he was friendly as well. Called these guys on Tuesday the 12th of March. They didn't have time to tow that day. Which was fine! Scheduled a tow for 9 am Wednesday morning! They are rude, hold your vehicle hostage so they can make more money off of storage fees, and demand ridiculous amounts of documentation to get your own items from the vehicle or get the vehicle released from their lot. They wanted my title, as well as a notorized letter from my insurance company with my info and all my vehicle info on it. The manager was even more rude than the dispatcher or general staff who answered the phone and wouldnt let me speak to the owner when i requested. Caution: would NOT give them any stars. Do NOT use their service at any cost! I was in an accident on Friday mid day. My car was towed by Denver West towing. Not knowing if my car was going to be totaled or repairable,It started to rain, my husband and I went to shop and requested if they could confirm my windows were up? They refused stating it was after hours I'd have to come back Monday when they open!! Seriously? There were 6 employees in office, not one could take 2 minutes to quickly see if my windows were up. Rain was in forcast all weekend. Monday morning my insurance asked that I contact Denver West towing and give them authorization to release my car to them so the adjuster could look at it. I got the run around 2x same day creating a delay for adjuster to see my car. Again, staff was unclear of "their release process", rude to me and my husband. Honestly, the WORST customer service I've ever had!! When someone's car is towed do to an accident.... these folks need to be most helpful, understanding and sincere. Show a little compassion! Denver West came at the explicit recommendation from SilTerHar Motors (one of the fanciest luxury dealers in the state.) I own an auto repair shop, and my own tow, and I called Denver West because I couldn't pick up a customers 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo with no air suspension function and no engine operating. 2" from the ground to the vehicle body. Not only did they dispatch from Golden down to Lone Tree in an hour at rush hour (Impressive), they sent two trucks, one to play "blocker" and ensure safe transport following the loaded truck to our location. The drivers, Bob (PRO!) and Danny (Greenhorn) were extremely professional, and spared no expense to ensure the vehicle was properly loaded, transported, and delivered. Not only did they load the vehicle with two sets of eyes watching every corner, they tag teamed the entire operation to make sure eyes were ALWAYS on the vehicle. I was not only impressed, I was amazed. As an auto repair shop owner, I deal with LOTS of tow trucks, sometimes 10 a day. He was speeding at 70-75mph on the highway with my car flying up and down on the bed. At one point my car launched 4 ft into the air. We finally get to my shop and my car is spewing oil everywhere. The reason we needed the tow is that my starter went out. The so called fat ass toad man owner was called and claimed it never could've happened. We had to threaten a lawsuit to even get him to considering seeing if their chain cracked my oil pan. It did. They took forever to pick my truck up while I sat in the fast lane on I-25 for 3.5 Hours during rush hour and then the tow truck driver almost killed himself taking My truck off the tow truck. He released the wench cable before the truck was down and then pulled my truck into neutral ran my truck through my garage door and now I'm still trying to collect the money for the damages. This all happened in July and it's now November. The owner of the company came out to my house 4 months later wanting to see the Damages after everything was cleaned up??????Good luck with this company. They also charged me for the tow anyway. Worst service ever. I've never been to a tow company with worse service than this one. I've had my car towed before to other places because I didn't have my license and they were never as rude. This time my friend is the one who got his car towed and needed me to help get his car with a license. If one person doesn't have a license they make you come with TWO people with licenses. So if you bring along a friend who doesn't have a car and you came on the bus they can care less about that and would rather keep your car in there longer to get their money. Never ever had i had this experience. The young girl has the biggest attitude problem that it is ridiculous. My friend made a comment about the policy being stupid and we were talking amongst ourself and the girl said here is your STUPIDLY license back. That's not even a word. This girl needs to go back to school and take some anger management classes. Her name is Kayla. We told her she didn't have to be so rude and she actually said the word fucking. The older heavy set lady wasn't as rude, but she had the other ladies back and they all had each others back and threatened to get the cops to come. This company really needs to be investigated. Danny Towed my truck to my home and then when he was offloading my truck into my driveway and then Ran my truck through my garage door. Rob the owner didn't work with me and now a year and 2 months later I'm having to sue him. This happened 7-17-2015 and it's now 10-5-2016. Be careful they are rude and not professional at all. Needed my truck towed to the shop - Denver West tow gave me a 1-hour window and a reasonable price and they showed up in time and took great care with my truck and only charged what they said they would. I was in an accident and my car was towed to Denver West. I had to go out there so they would release my car to my insurance. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Then, I had to get my stuff from the car. I got it loaded into bags and this wonderful man carried it back to my rental car for me. If you need a tow this is the place to call! Yikes! While the tow truck operators all were friendly and professional, the receptionist on July 21 was about as rude as I've ever seen someone who deals with the public. All I wanted was an objective rate listing so I knew I wasn't overpaying. She insisted I could only get the contract between Denver Worst Towing and the Colo State Patrol for the set rates, although a Trooper has since clarified that CSP checks tow companies' offices for rates postings and requires it. Something about a dour, condescending, rude person struggling with the calculator and handwriting my cocktail napkin-invoice made me wonder if the last guy paid less because he wore a wife-beater, sported a mullet and called this woman darlin'. Unless you comply and just pay whatever, be prepared to be personally insulted and made to feel like a criminal for expired tags. I have filed a complaint with the DORA Public Utilities Commission, as well as informed CSP and requested this contract. There may be fines for these shenanigans so don't be a victim and GO TO THE PUC and CSP WEBSITES AND COMPLAIN if this happens to you. read more

Absolute WORST experience we've ever had with a towing company. My husband was in an accident which required him having his truck towed. We were told BY THE COMPANY that the tow would cost anywhere from $350 - $450. We already thought it was pricey but agreed to it because we were stuck in a blizzard on the side of I-70. They took over an hour to get to the accident (which is somewhat understandable given the weather), towed us in less than 10 min and subsequently gave us a bill for over $500. When I reminded him of the $350 - $450 quote the driver told me that I needed to pay up and step away or he would have our car impounded. They just flat out lied about the price and took advantage of the situation. They were beyond rude, gave awful service and overcharged for it on top of that. I wish I had more recourse than a simple Yelp review, but if I can help anyone else avoid them it will be worth it. STAY AWAY! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE - I FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I joined yelp in order to review this business - that is how disastrous the encounter was. I called Denver West towing at 12:45a on May 31,15 in order to have my car towed from I70 after experiencing some difficulties en route home. When I spoke with the dispatcher, he noted my name, method of payment and my exact location - providing an ETA of a truck. All was well until the driver actually arrived. When I greeted the driver, he immediately became rude and outwardly aggressive stating: "I thought you were a female." He then asked about the way in which I was to make payment to which I responded "via credit card." This angered him even more with him saying: "I thought you were paying in cash?! I guess we're just going to have to stop at an ATM, aren't we?!" Furthermore, when I asked if the vehicle could be taken to another repair shop 3 miles from the one I originally requested, he became angry to the point of yelling, stating he would have to call in order to have it approved. After calling his manager(?), he agreed (after MUCH ado). Keep in mind, I was paying more than $30.00 additionally in order to change locations; I was not asking for the extra mileage at gratis. So there I stood, on the side of the interstate at 1:00am, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE at this man's aggressive behavior because I was the wrong gender and not paying correctly. Given his behavior and obvious agitation with me, I was actually NERVOUS to get into the vehicle with him. The entire way to our destination, he waxed on and on about being tired, stating that: "I was lucky they even came out at all." Needless to say, I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone I know; in fact, I will go out of my way to discourage it given then intensity of my encounter with this driver. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the driver; however, he was older (50+) with a mustache. This was not just a run-of-the mill encounter with poor customer service; the employee was actually AGRESSIVE toward me in his body language and manner of speech. I've also shared this review on my Facebook page as a warning to friends in the Denver metro and surrounding areas who are in need of towing services. read more

I have NEVER ever written an online review before!!! I wish I could give a negative number for the service we received. This is the worst service we have ever had moving the toolbox and never had a problem before. We decided to use them because of the low cost and we very excited about the savings. When moving the toolbox the top part of my husband's toolbox fell off and was damaged. We have used MANY, MANY other towing companies before and never had this problem before. The lady taking my complaint was so incredibly rude, kept interrupting, and continuously made me feel like my complaint was falling on deaf ears. Not one bit truly apologetic for losing our business due to their error of not strapping down the tool box properly. All I wanted was for them to know how incredibly frustrating this was for us and that new procedures needs to be implemented to prevent this from happening to others. I will give them one positive review they did not charge us for the tow. However, the driver was still requesting money after the damaged occurred and would have charged us if my husband won't have called the office to let them know what had happened.
